Have been an owner of a 1992 Accord 2.0i Coupe Auto since 2001 having acquired it from my late father in law who bought it from new. It's been incredibly reliable and has only done 125,000 miles which after 26 years is nothing,Great engine, box and is a dream to drive, never missing a beat.Having bought a Seat Ateca last march though I've hardly used the Honda so made the decision recently to 'sorn' it,allowed the insurance and MOT to expire and it now sits covered up in my garage awaiting a decision as to what to do with it.Every week I turn it over and let it run for 20 minutes or so on my drive to avoid any problems with seizure etc. I'm very reluctant to get rid - not s…

Hi there, just joined group. I own a Japanese import Honda Prelude 4th Gen 2.2 VTEC for past 7 years. Very cool car. Doen loads of work on it and now pretty good condition. Honda UK suggested that I joined club. Should have done it ages ago. Not being used to these forums I may need some instructions how to use. Nice to meet you all. I need help because my car is a Jap import so there is no emission data on it - As a consequence Transport for London cannot decide if it is ULEZ compliant or not. Honda UK say that if I get a chassis number and number plate of any 2.2 VTEC compliant car they can make a comparison judgement and send…

Hi new member in Devon, well we bought her in Feb, 10 reg, just done nearly 1400 faultless miles driving in France, really lovely cars, 70 equates to just over 2k revs (6spd man). Only fault as such is getting USB in glove box to link up with my Huawei phone, it worked on my daughter's iPhone perfectly. Aux socket in the centre console doesn't work at all either unfortunately. All the best. Neil

Hi I am in a small village on the outskirts of Swansea I have a 55 reg Accord with 98,000 plus on the clock but still running as sweet as a nut. It was recalled a couple of years ago because of a possible paassenger air bag deployment which would fill the passengers face with shards of plastic. Last year the air bag light came on and my very good and trusted garage sorted it for me. The air bag squib wass £690 and I got the conputer, which could not be reset, vrom Lithuania (identical number). Have any othger members had the same problem. Do any of the members know of a reliable Honda specialst garage in the Swansea area, please? All the bes…

Hi all, a quick hi from Liverpool. I recently bought an 04 Stream in dark blue, the 6 seater version. Looking to give her a lot of much needed TLC. Pictures to follow. Previous to that, my other only h9nda was an FRV 2.2 i-CTDI... what happened to it? Modern diesel issues bankrupted me.

Hello, I've just signed up having owned my 2009 CDTi for about 18 months. A couple of problems have now appeared which I'm hoping that members will be able to help and advise me on. I'm a retired automotive industry engineer with a reasonable understanding of and ability to do my own repairs etc. My first question is where can I get hold of a workshop manual for the car?

I am a senior citizen, 86 years of age, I started My love affair with automobiles while in My teens, Worked in a Speed Shop, learned everything about "building hi performance engines", built Flat head Fords and Chevrolet engines. Thank you for accepting me into your club...I am a 74-year-old ex-South African and have been in the UK since 2020 and loving it. A long history of being a Motor Car enthusiast and even sold Hyundai Vehicles for 6 Years. Owned a Honda Motor Cycle for many years and always loved the look of the different Honda Motor Car Models. Recently we purchased a nice little 2008 Honda Jazz (as a runaround) with low mileage and love it and would like to find out more about these fantastic little cars as well as all the other models for future reference. Look forward to reading all the different posts. Regards John Coetzee

Good morning all, I am a new member and unfamiliar with how this all works so please bear with me. First question: I see that this is a UK club which is fine with me, however, I'd also like to find one a little closer to home in Savannah, GA/USA. Any suggestions would be appreciated. So, my main reason for joining a Honda Owner's Club is to get advice on repairs and maintenance for my 2000 Accord SE. It has just over 166,000 miles. I am currently in the process of getting two or three quotes since there is a fair amount of work that needs to be done. I went to the local dealership yesterday and they quoted me $300 to $400 to bring it in and have…

Hello all!.Just signed up here. I may not be a typical member...🙃 OK. I'm 72 and got my Honda in 2012 from my brother, who is younger than me. Most people are... He had it from new in 2004. It's a 5 door 2.0L Type S..which I believe is a fairly uncommon beast. Still only on 72000 miles after 17 years. All original and I have no interest in modifying or customising it. Just hoping it lasts well enough to save me buying another car before I start dribbling or forget my name etc. 🤣. I'm long past the days of changing engines on the drive in midwinter etc, so I leave most work to younger fitter chaps these days, but I do change the oil and filter reg…

Have owned a 2004 Nissan Elgrand 3.5l E51 for the last 7 years. Love it to bits, but the car and me are both getting a bit long in the tooth, so I decided to buy a newer car. Love 7 seaters as I have two daughters each comprising a family of four and have enjoyed many holidays with each of the families. Probably shouldn't be praising the Elgrand too much in the Honda Owners Club Forum, but it does drive beautifully with 240hp under the bonnet. Despite being 2004 was lucky enough to get ULEZ compliance. The only other downside to this car apart from its age is the fuel consumption. I would guess around town maybe 18mpg. Never really measured it as I didn't want to upset my…

I have just purchased an immaculate 2 owner 1985 Accord with just 24k miles on the clock. I was just wondering exactly how rare it is in the UK, the website how many left doesnt seem to know. I did see a web page saying around 3 left, (honest Johns). Anyway, just thought I would shout about it !!

Hi, thanks for letting me join. Hopefully getting a 57 plate 2.2 CDTI S GT 3 door in Burnt Orange. Not sure when I'll be able to pick it up with all this lockdown going on. I'm new to Honda but fancied a change and after reading reviews etc the advice was try and get a 2.2 diesel as it's a good motor. Looking forward to getting her 😁👍 Andy

Hi all, New to Honda, my mother has had them for years but I never even thought of them until I drove it, that’s it I was hooked, got one for my wife a few weeks ago and now looking to change my Mini Cooper for one. Great little cars that feel like a big car. Looking forward to Honda ownership.

Hi, I'm in my third year of owning my Accord ctdi, and still loving it! Although buying the car as spares or repair, I've found it to be easy to work on, everything that is classed as serviceable is easy to get at, unlike my previous cars... I like the ride of a decent size car whilst still getting 50+ mpg...
