I have been tinkering about today with the CRV and thought I would remove the Thurle Roof Rack as shown on my Profile, I don't use it all of the time and I have noticed that it does cause some wind noise when driving, My Daughter mentioned this when driving on the Bournemouth Spur Road at the Weekend, also of cause I probably think it doesnt help the fuel economy , So off it has come and packed away neatly in the Shed until I require it in future, I have put all the nuts and bolts in plastic bags so I can find them when I need to refit the Roof Rack. so another job done !!!

Hi, Hoping someone can help a Newbie here 1. The lighter has stopped working on my Elysion - suspect a blown fuse, which would be a nice easy fix if so. Can't figure out though which fuse to replace though - see attached pic. 2. Any know where I can download a English owners manual ? Lots of Japanese options on Google ... not so many in English. Any help on either question would be really appreciated. Thanks.

We have a 2010 Honda Stepwagon RK5 with intermittent ignition issues. At key turn there’s always power, but sometimes it starts and sometimes it’s dead. The starter is fine and the local mechanic has changed the ignition switch to see if that’s the problem. He suggested it was wear on the key as depending on how the key is pressured when you turn it has an impact on whether it starts. I disagree with this because the issue is the same with both keys, and they both worked fine before this started happening. Is this likely to be an ignition barrel issue? Any other thoughts on diagnosis?

I have a 2017 HONDA HR-V BLACK EDITION I-DTEC 120 (1.6cc) & have ongoing issues with the idle stop and wondering if this is a common problem? Over the past 2 years it’s been in the Garage at least 6 times for the same issue or issues relating to the idle stop and is booked back into garage agin tomorrow. The idle stop works for so long (anything from a few days to max 6 months) and then randomly stops working with a dash warning showing low battery charge. It was last in the garage 2 weeks ago when they again charged the battery overnight, fault again seemed to be rectified but 10 days & 300 miles later the same issue. Just bought 2018 HRV 1.5 S. There is no proper parcel shelf. Only a lightweight flimsy fabric tonneau. Surely shoukd have parcel shelf as standard. It's a 20k car.

Can anyone tell me will any other coil/distributor core unit fit on a H-plate concerto ex auto as finding this part is a nightmare and too bloody costly for a new one direct from Honda. I have been told that its the same engine as the rover 216 and certain civic ones might fit. I would really appreciate your help in this matter.

Missus has lost her key. Had locksmith come out and said the barrel has been changed and cant do it!!! If i change ignition barrel would be a str8 forward thing? No immob problems. No c/ l problems.

Hi just wanted to know if anyone has had a problem with the radio tuning it's self on and off with a loud electrical cracking nosie and all the lights on the display unit come and then go off. TY

Hi I have a Honda Civic 1907 brilliant car 👍 but there’s a problem with the electrics at the moment and I don’t know which route to go to get it fixed. It was suggested to me to try this forum as a start. Basically on the dashboard the clock is only partly lit up, a lot of the time the windscreen wipers at times have a mind of their own and so does my key fob-which will work one day but not the next! I am owner of a 2015 honda crv.....the infotainment system has stopped working (just get the Honda brand logo and a small spinning wheel - looks like its searching for something). I have taken it into the Honda dealer (Listers Northampton) and they say nothing can be done other than replacing the unit, and are quoting me £3,500 for this. Has anyone come across this before or am I being taken for ride?! Thanks Phil

Honda Motor Co. is changing its working hours at its Hamamatsu factory in central Japan for safety reasons. A bit better than Toyota closing 11 of its factories but still devastating. Typhoon is really taking its toll.

Hi, Which place do you order parts and Honda oils for your car?

anybody have any info on 2007 petrol crv gear change, I had her for over 4 years and gear change has been a bit notchy on lower gears but not really got any worse , when I bought it from Honda dealer in derby they said it was ok , but is there any thing that can be done to make gear change smoother like oil change or linkage change or do I put up with it as a characteristic of crvs please let me know as I love car to bits and would love to keep her

Hello there, I hope you are all well! I live in Dublin and drive a 1977 Honda Civic as my every day car (I mention this as everyone asks). My indicator switch went a year ago and I had an electrical guy fix it, but now it has gone again and I need to replace it or else stick buttons on the dash. I would really like to keep it the way it is! If anyone could help source one or give me an idea of where I could, I would be really grateful! It is my baby!

Hi, need help with updating my satnav in my honda civic. It's a 13 plate. Just need to know what DVD I need to get for it. Called Honda and they want £180 just for the dvd. How should a diesel car be driven? Over the years by various 'esperts' I've been told to get the best and a long life from them drive them hard all the time others have said softly softly and still other softly most of the time but give them a good hard drive sometimes to clean the pipes out. So which is right please.
