Hi Any dangers in buying a used CRV (2003) 2.0 auto with 140k miles... service history and 12 months mot I only do about 4k miles a year ? cheers

CRV 2 litre 2003 engine management light TIming chain replaced ...didn't put light off sensors replaced still no joy but then replaced knock sensor with genuine honda knock sensor light went out . Happy finally 😁

I left the lights on on my 2006 CRV petrol manual and flattened the battery. I took the battery out and recharged it. On reconnecting the battery the alarm went off almost continuously but didnt go off when I plipped the key fob and in fact nothing seemed to turn the alarm off, manual locking and unlocking doors, operating central locking manually or by key fob etc and the alarm carried on going for 20 mins or so. I could start and drive the car so the immobiliser wasnt acting. The alarm would then stop and restart every 10 mins or so untill I disconnected the battery. on reconnecting the alarm would go off at random times even whilst driving?? It has settled down a bit …

Hi all, I've joined to ask a question of a knowledgeable group: My headlights have stopped working on my normally excellent 2002 CRV. Side lights, inidcators and main beam all work. I've swopped the steering stalk mounted switch, check the fuses (which are independant L & R) and of course looked at the bulbs. Now at a loss, can anyone offer some thoughts please? Thanks

Hi I was lucky to buy a used Honda CRV 05 plate about 4 years ago for £1800 with 120k on the clock. I have a good mechanic who has got me through my MOT's and it's been a great car but sadly this last MOT has come up with bad rust under the car and various other serious issues and because of the rust such as brakes and steering on both sides is in danger of collapse, deeming it unworthy of fixing. I live rurally and do drive through a lot of bad surface water due to heavy rains/flooding years round but nothing crazy other than road driving. Hi everyone, I am a new UK owner as of today, and picked up a mk.2 CR-V 2005 facelift with 118k on the clock and in good mechanical condition. The price was cheap (£1500). However, underneath it is looking a bit sad. The car has been coated with some kind of waxoyl-like substance but it is hiding rust, which is now coming through in places. Hi I have a 2005 2.2 CTDI and I suspect that the aircon compressor is failing. I am thinking of simply bypassing air con with a shorter belt and am wondering in anyone has had any experience with this or can advise on required belt length, etc Any advice would be appreciated UK based

Anyone know where I can get the tailgate gas strut and little brackets that attach it to the back door and car . ? i have a 2006 CD-Ti . Unfortunately these replacements seem like gold dust , i can get a pair of glass gas struts for about 50p on ebays

We currently have a 2003 golf but we will soon have 3 dogs instead of 1 , two of which labrador size we want to stand/sit in the boot hence looking at a CRV As its to be shared and probably only do about 5000 miles a year we have decided on a auto petrol and we dont really want to send more than £3000 I know its like asking how long is piece of string but is this model version a safe bet for reliability , maintenance etc There are quite a few on autotrader but I know if we buy the wrong one it could cost loads...

Hi All, I have a 06 CR-V CDTi, which is awesome, and I love it. It has however developed a problem. I put the key in the ignition and the lights come on the dashboard , but not the EML and coil light. Turn it off and on again , sometimes many times , and eventually they come on ,and then you can start it. its really bugging me. Could it be the Key code reader or Immobilizer . HELP PLEASE!

Gear linkage advice please, when I had Transit vans I found that if I kept the linkage lubricated that it kept changing gear very smooth, told about doing it by a RAC guy who came out when I couldn’t get any gear because it was too dry. My CRV is the best car I have ever had, the finish and all the extras and the doors shut better then a Golf!! My only little niggle is the gear change can be a little stiff, can someone tell me where I can find the gear linkage so I can spray it with Duck Oil please. Alan
