CR-V 2007 to 2011

  1. The problem tends to occur after driving for 25-30 minutes, so most often on restart (clutch pedal depressed) after auto-stop. On depressing the clutch pedal, there's about 1-2 seconds of screeching/grating as the starter motor kicks in. This doesn't sound great, but is intermittent, in that you can predict roughly when it might happen, but can't reliably repeat the symptom. We took it back to the garage who sold us the 3-year-old vehicle back in November, but they couldn't repeat it either. It only ever happens a couple of times and then never again on the same trip. It's obviously in some way connected to engaging the starter mot…

Hi I've had my 2012 crv for 6 months and am very pleased with it ,the only thing that is annoying is that when I use the screen wash and the engine is hot I get a smell in side the car where it drips on the engine is there anything I can do to stop this ?

  4. Started by TheFridge,

Hello; how do I adjust the aim of the screen washers please? Currently far too low, any speed over 50ish means they hit the underside of the wipers in the park position. Mine's a 2014 model. Thanks

Good evening folks. This is ignorant of me, I know, but while flicking through the manual last night I discovered that I should be able to get traffic alerts, weather reports and traffic info displayed on the map. So I have spent all day today turning all the alerts on and I went for numerous drives but I get the same message; "No Information Received". Is it something silly that i'm doing wrong? I've attached a picture. I have a 2015 Cr-v 1.6 diesel. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

My 2009 2L petrol CRV has just had a new serpentine belt fitted by the local independent garage I have used and trusted with all my cars, BUT I think its been fitted incorrectly in that the flat side of the belt is riding on the ribs of the AirCon pulley. I am going to take it back and get it checked. My question is where can I find a diagram of how it should be routed? I've looked everywhere on the internet and can only find US spec ones and diesel ones with the power steering pump of course I don't have!

Hi. I have a 2016 1.6 I-Dtec SR CRV. It has the engine warning light on which has been diagnosed with needing a new 'Air fuel ratio sensor 1'. The error code are Error code: P0133 and P2A00 The local Honda dealer has quoted me over 700 pounds to supply and fit the replacement sensor.. the car drives fine and fuel consumption is normal. So i'm looking to get a non-Honda replacement and a local specialist has recommended Denso as a alternative, but the problem is finding and sourcing the sensor needed. The Honda part number is Part number: H36531RZ0G01 Does anyone know where I can source a replacement sensor and what product numbe…

By chance I lifted the boot floor cover over the spare wheel to find at least 50mm of water filling the well! It must have been there for a while as some steel parts had started to rust. Any idea how it could get there? None of the rest of the boot is wet or stained.

I've recently purchased a 2007 2.0 EX petrol, which has a dirty lump of sponge stuck inside the fuel flap (photo attached). Is this standard, or has a previous owner added this for some reason? It's not something I've had on any other car I've owned.

I wondered if anyone has any advice about my problem. I have a 2011 CRV I dtec 2.2 diesel with 102000 on the clock. It had a full honda history up to 2 years ago but since then I have serviced the car myself using genuine Honda parts. The car wears the front tyres out in 10000 miles and also squeals badly when I go round a roundabout at any kind of speed. I am worried there maybe a differential problem front or rear. I wondered if the common rear differential issue would cause this?

  20. Hi Wondering if anybody else has had this problem as it does not seem that uncommon. We first noticed a pulsing in the steering when going slowly around roundabouts for example and have had it checked out. When driving normally its fine - no pulsing or vibration and vehicle responds properly, but when stationary up on the ramp, the steering can be seen to pulsing back and forth slightly. Fluid has been changed, alignment and pump checked out, but still doing it. There is a lot of online comment on this phenomena, but I can find no comment on the fix. The next step is to change the rack but I am loathe to do this as there quite a few stories about this not sorting the…

I have a 2013 CRV, occasional the warning light for the stop start illuminates on start up, goes off again shortly after driving off, I’ve also noticed the stop start will operate with the clutch peddle lifted to 3/4 of the way, if foot is taken off the clutch peddle the engine restarts whilst still in neutral. Since this has started cruise control also is playing up. Sometimes it operates others it doesn't. Could they be linked Regards Martin

Greetings all from Northern Ireland - hope you can help. My CRV is, at the moment, broken down, and has been for most of the last month. It's a 2007 2.2 Cdti with 160000 miles and just suddenly stopped working, with all the dash lights flashing. I've had a diagnostic technician out, but he couldn't get the car to communicate with his equipment, though it did start and run for 3 days after he had been. It's very frustrating, to say the least. I think that it's something electrical - the cam chain is fine, no noise when running, and it has a new clutch and flywheel, which is why I'm loathe to give up on it. Anyone come across this before? Thanks in advance!
