Hi Alan I have always used Rock 5w 30w fully synthetic oil in my CRV as its recommended by Honda, If you are unsure as my Honda is a Petrol and I believe your CRV is a Diesel it might be worth giving the Main Honda Dealer a quick call and ask if there is a difference, I really don't know, sorry Alan.

what is the recommended oil for a 2007 i-ctdi i keep seeing 0-20 0-30 5-30 fully synthetic i can understand 0-20 0r 030 on a newish model but when a vehicle as done 140,000 miles plus i would have thought 5-30 would be a better option, advice welcome.

Hi all, I have a 2019 CR-V 1.5 Turbo Manual AWD. This is my third CR-V and is the best yet. The others were EX automatics and this one now has the power and driveability that the others should have had. My issue is, does any one else notice an engine overrun when changing up gears. I find this very odd and to overcome this and get a smooth gear change I find that coming off gas for a second or two and then change gear does the trick. The delay allows the revs to drop a bit and then the gear change is much smoother. Has anyone else have this or is it just me. Regards.

The clock now only works when the ignition is on. When off the clock stops. On restarting the clock shows the time when It turned off Any ideas?

Hi all, Looking for a bit of help. Has anyone fitted running boards ? I have a second hand set of genuine Honda parts and I have downloaded the fitting instructions which seems fairly straightforward. What I don’t have are the templates required to enable me to cut out access holes for the fitting brackets in the plastic underside panels. Can anyone help with this please, much appreciated Rob

Hi all. I have an intermittent fault on my 2015 CRV diesel auto in that over time, the D drive light flashes for a while which sometimes makes shifting harsh and moving off pretty sluggish. It also stops reverse selecting unless i switch off and restart. Reading the codes, it says code )0974, P0977, P0980 and P0983 which are the 4 drive solenoids all going to open circuit. The odd thing is, any one of the codes can occur first then if I continue to drive, the rest of the codes will randomly show up. All this leads me to think it is a problem with the harness but I have checked all the connections on the gearbox with no apparent problems so perhaps it is at another juncti…

Hi I have hona crv 2018 1.6 160km diesel .I have problem with my fuel tank capacity. Basically in my manual fuel tank should have 58l. But when I refueling car from empty (low fuel light and computer shows 30 miles range) i can do 43- 45 liters maximum. I was refueling car 10 times so far and always is same. I can understand reserve tank need some fuel but 13-15 liters and 30 mies range is something wrong in my opinion. Please tell me how many liters you can put in your crv? Many thanks.

Hi , starting issue. 2010 2.2 diesel Replaced glow plugs . Replaced glow plug relay. Obd fault code says glow plug control unit. Not a clue whereabouts it's mounted as took long enough finding relay.. Any clues or pictures of it. Many thanks

Hi, I have fitted 4 new glow plugs and a new relay but I sill have to turn the ignition on and off for about 20 to 30 times for the glow plug light to come on? Once the light coms on then quickly off, engine starts fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Hi All, newbie here, I have a 13 plate CRV SR, all good for the last 18mts, last Friday fuse15 blew, replaced all good, till today. No turn or hazards, checking the fuse its good?, helpppppp, have tried to locate relay but not found. Call to garage says its an MICU issue???? , also today the message on dash said battery can't sustain stop start, but put that down to very little driving as Covid has locked us down. Have checked bulbs and led in mirrors they are all good and dry. Any help assistance would be welcomed Darryl

just noticed both the heated seats are not working checked the fuse that is ok seems rather strange both are not working, anyone any ideas on this ? not checked the relays but would be rather odd that all four relays have given up the ghost.

Hi I have entered into a dispute with a windscreen fitting company after they have refitted the scuttle panel and rubber seals back around my windscreen and left gaps, it looks terrible and would mean water will be getting where its not supposed to! To help my case i could do with some pictures of what it should look like. So i need pictures at the bottom of the windscreen showing the rubber strip on the scuttle panel in contact with the glass and a picture of the rubber strip that runs at the top of the windscreen between the glass and the roof/pano glass. Any help you can offer would be much apreciated. Thanks

Hello good people of Honda Owners Club, I have just got myself a CR-V which, although registered in 2012, is of the model that ran from 2007-2011. It has slight front end damage, which has wiped out the headlamp washers. When I've taken the bumper off, I can see a short pipe projecting forward from what looks to me like a motor, that sits at the bottom outboard side of the washer fluid bottle. I expected that, when I operated the windscreen washers then water would come spurting out of this pipe, as if trying to feed the headlamp washers. However, no, in fact the water in the pipe retreated as I squirted the windscreen. I can't for the life of me work out wher…

Evening All. Just a qq any one had issues with their High Pressure Fuel Pump on the 2.2 diesel engine, I have had two instances where the engine management light has come on in the last two weeks and had fault code P0087 which means low fuel pressure. Two years ago I was getting the same issue but the garage put new firmware on and it seemed to fix it, but i think that may have just been a coincidence as the issue is back. Sometimes it will stop the car other times it just goes in to limp mode. You can start the car no problem after the event, the fault stays for 4 more engine on and off, then disappears. Does anyone have any idea how much a blue Honda 2011 CR-V EX with just under 50 000 miles would have cost in Dec 2020/Jan 2021? Work that needed to be done on it: needed MOT, dud battery replacing, needed 4 new tyres, tracking adjusting, new front brake pads and disks, parking sensor to be replaced, headlight washer bottle replacement. The rear diff was making the usual juddering on full lock from contamination, so needed a full 3 litre drain, flush, fill, drive repeat etc. Body work was relatively good with a few chips that had turned rusty, a bit dog hairy inside (including a nice fluffy cabin filter!), but not excessive. Hi, Having had several months with an audio problem with my mk 4 (2015) CR-V I thought others may benefit from my resolution! Problem As topic title, I experienced a buzzing/electrical noise back in spring 2022 after a 30-minute drive in the rain. I’ve checked the micro blade fuses under the bonnet and passenger glove compartment and all are intact. The rear speakers are operating normally, so it’s only the front speakers with the problem. Dear Forum, I have a question if I may please ? we have unfortunately lost one of our keyless fobs for the above vehicle. I've contacted 2 dealers to get prices for replacement keyless fobs, both have quoted eye watering prices, we are talking nearly £500 from one & £650 from the 2nd ! It seems the battery had a dead cell and was replaced under warranty. A week later, the car failed to start again! I called RAC, who conducted a battery test and found no issues.
