Honda FR-V Club

Hi all excited to be joining the frv club I previously had a Picasso xsara bit has finally given up on me. Man I love that car but want something even more reliable now which is why Honda are my go to. Trouble is with all the different reviews can anyone tell me which is best 1.7 1.8 2.2 etc diesel/petrol I need the boot space and there's 3 of us. I like the idea of my 5 year old in the cock pit too. It will mainly be city driving for work purposes and we go away mostly every other weekend. Thank you to all that respond!

Hi,first post here after owning an FRV for 7 years. All of a sudden when trying to open the door with fob the locks click open and shut again within a second. If quick enough you can open the door if timed right but that's it and the rest of the car stays shut,even locking you in the car until forcing the little lock part towards door to get out. Any ideas what the problem is? It did stop for a day or two then came back again

I have a problem with fuel intake, the fuel pump is kicking in so I'm leaning toward a blockage but can't find any info online about frv's! Can anyone point me in the direction of the fuel filter please? 👍

Hi ,I have a 2005 honda frv 2.2ictdi. I have had her since new with no real problems. Recently she has developed a high pitch squealing sound that appears to be coming from the rear of the car . It only seems to be present when turning right ,and only when going above 15 mph. It is both embarassing and concerning . She has had a new link arm at the rear that did not solve it. She has had new breaks fitted that has not solved it. 3 mechanics have charged me to "look " at her but not given any helpful answers other then could be break dust or grit Does any one have any idea what the cause could be as I am getting annoyed paying mechanics but not getting noise st…

Hi ! I'm in the UK and have a Honda FRV 2005. So basically my heater blower has stopped working. I have replaced the resister pack and that has not fixed it. The fuse is fine too. So now I am trying to replace the actual blower motor itself. I have unscrewed the 3 screws holding it in place but it cannot drop down far enough for me to pull it out because the ECU is in the way. So, now I need to remove the ECU from its casing, which is directly below the blower. Once this is removed there will be enough room for the blower to drop down. There are 2 screws/bolts at the front of the ECU, one on each side, I have taken these off however there is something else …

Hi I’ve a Honda FR-V 2.2 d , i have trouble some times with changing gear I have to pump the clutch pedal a few times and then all good,?? and my hand break light comes on and beeps have to pull out slightly and slide back in some times linked with above problem or if go over a bump like it’s lose ?? Hi there as above really trying to find the sizes of the oem front and rear speakers before I order some upgrades (as they are awful as standard) just wondered if anyone had swapped them over or removed them and had the dimensions? Didn’t fancy pulling the car apart unless I absolutely had to! thanks in advance!

Hello! The offside drive shaft of our 2005, 143,000 mile 2.0 Sport Vtec FR-V has broken so could cost the best part of £1,000 to replace and repair. Does anyone know where to get a good second hand one from and a driver's seatbelt with fittings, too? I can only find a drive shaft from Honda which is almost £800, way more expensive than the £120 it would have cost for a new, nearside driveshaft from an alternative supplier. And even Honda doesn't appear to stock a seat belt... so no point replacing the shaft if the car then fails the MoT due in July re the seatbelt issue... We are only the second owners and have had the car …

Hi All, I have a Honda frv auto petrol 1.8 2008 model. I have been having this issue with my FRV for a while, when in park my engine will intermittently vibrate it sometimes can vibrate very aggressively if I reposition the steering a little the vibration will die down for a moment and start up again until I reposition the steering or it eventually stops vibrating it self. This mainly happens when the car is in park or neutral. It doesn’t happen when driving. I have already replaced power steering fluid and the o ring as I thought this might be the issue unfortunately it did not help. My brakes and pads are all relatively new, my tyres are poor and do n…

I've been having charging/battery problems over past few weeks, resulting in a no start after a short drive..... normally solved by a 10 min drive after a quick push or jump start. It's now apparent that the alternator doesnt work, hence requires changing. Looking at the alternator and its location makes me think this is a major job as it's in a very tight area to get to. Any help or pointers would be marvellous

Hi there. I own a Honda Frv 54 plate. My nearside rear abs sensor is faulty and I can't for the love of god find anybody that sells a replacement ! Are there any other Honda vehicles that share the same abs sensor ? Please help as I'm beginning to lose my mind.
