Jazz 2008 to 2015

I bought a Honda Jazz hybrid in September, and am very pleased with it. But whenever there is an overnight hard frost, the clock loses about 20+ minutes. Several nights were frosty recently, and it lost 50 minutes. The service manager at the dealership hasn’t heard of this happening, an I wonder if you have, or can offer any advice. There don’t seem to be any other battery- related effects. I don’t have satnav, and don’t use internet or smartphone connections, but my screen is set to show the date and time.

When my car reaches 50 mph a beep and a cruise control symbol appears, how do I get rid of it

I purchased a 2018 Jazz SE a couple of weeks ago and am working througth the comprehensive manual. One problem I have encountered is with the cruise control . Try as I might I cannot get it to work despite the indicator on the multi-information display showing the cruise control logo. the cruise limiter is fine but the cruise control appears not to work. Any help would be appreaciated

I was test driving a 2018 automatic yesterday and it's fine when it's moving, but when you set off from a junction it seems that you have to move the accelerator further than the manual jazz to get it to start moving. Is this normal?

Hi All, I hope that anyone can help but I've spent the last 6 months trying to sort cvt gearbox issue for my 2011 Jazz 1339cc and only option is to find identical used gearbox Any help or advice will be appreciated How I can find used gear box with exact serial number as mine (SE5A-3038965)? What other gearbox serial numbers that can be compatible with my car? Thanks in advance

Hi trying to service my 2012 Jazz 1.4 i-vtec, when agent inputs reg it shows as manual when is automatic, need to know what oil to put in auto gearbox & how much, also being quoted £75 for spark plugs which seems expensive, are they special? Any help much appreciated Regards Rob.

Looking to purchase a 2015 onwards CVT jazz. What is the service interval for the CVT? Have read it is 2 years. Is it expensive to have it serviced? Does Honda themselves do the service or is it sent to a specialist? I read a while back that servicing a Nissan Note CVT is very expensive due to the oil used. Thanks in advance for any replies

Good solution to stop dash reflections, use carbon black cooker hood filter material, it kills reflections and only costs £3-99 a large sheet

😃I tried repeatably to lock my car with an door still open.having realised I closed the door the car then went dead. The brake pedal went hard ,start button just flashed (car is 1966 automatic) car would not lock.No response from door button or key fob.After 40 mins car came to life again and had no trouble since.Had l confused the computer? Did the ECU reset its self.

Honda Jazz EX CVT 2012. Display shows 26.9 mpg whereas if i remember correctly, the car should be doing 40mpg officially and unofficially, 35mpg around town. Only had the car for about a month. Car has done 36k with full Honda service history. Car was serviced in March this year but i checked the air filter anyway and its looks like new. Also checked tyre pressures and coolant & oil level and mass air flow sensor. It has been bitterly cold but will be surprised if mpg falls this low due to this. I've never ever taken out an extended warranty and, considering its good reliability record, feel confident that the Jazz will survive another 3 years without too much expense. To date we've averaged 9000 miles/year. Vertu Honda have just offered the following warranties: 1 year £299, 2 years £499 and 3 years £699. Full payment or option of 10 monthly payments. Monthly cost over the respective periods works out at £24.92, £20.79 & £19.42 per month (3 years). Recently had strange fishy smell when using the air con on my 2015 Jazz CVT. The Honda service desk at my dealership says it needs regassing but the air con works fine so this can’t be necessary. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Hi guys, I am fitting a non standard multi function display in my 2017 Jazz and can’t get the reverse camera to work. Not sure what pins are what so not sure where the wires for the camera are or what colours. Any help much appreciated.

Hi, got a 2014 jazz hybrid hx-t. the front discs are lipped and the brakes are squeeling. do you guys suggest I go with mintex which is 1/3 of the price of honda for front discs and pads? pls advise. thanks.

Hi Everyone, I have a question to you. I am going to buy first car for my wife. She just got her driving license. I found for her this car Honda Jazz 1.4 i-VTEC ES i Shift Euro 4 5 door 2010, first owner, millage 58000, all services in Jonda, last healt check has been done there in march and it was perfect. My only worry is about this automatic gearbox. On the test drive I have noticed sometimes some little delays to change the gear but generally was everything ok. Good morning everyone. I would need help to know the reference number of the brake pads for the "NISSIN 16cl14vnh" calipers that I have on my car. This is because when I was looking for parts, I saw that they are available for the AKEBONO and SUMITOMO systems and I was confused which one would be recommended. So if anyone can indicate the correct reference of the brake pads for the NISSIN braking system. By the way, is the VIN of the car LUC GG3 760 9321 7653, if that can help? Hi, folks. My Mum's typically reliable Jazz has been 'serviced' for some time by a dodgy mechanic, as the Honda dealership service costs were beyond her reach, being a UK pensioner. Anyways, she recently had the gearbox oil changed and the new mechanic pointed out that the gearbox oil hadn't been changed for a VERY long time. Now, especially In hot weather, things get decidedly stiff when changing gear after about 10 miles or so. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, newbie here. Thinking of purchasing a Honda Jazz CVT/auto 2015 onwards when the model changed. Have read that previous models had the catalytic converters under the car which made it easier to be stolen. Have read somewhere that the new model which came out in 2015 have the catalytic converter inside the engine bay. Can someone be kind enough to confirm this? Has anyone encountered the following on the new hybrid? 1) If the car isn't driven at least every other day the clock is slow by a specific number of minutes and doesn't correct itself until the car has been driven for at least 30 minutes. 2) The radio on/off button intermittently does not work. One day you press the button and the radio will turn off, next day it doesn't. 3) This message appears when car has just started in motion 'this function is not available when the car is in motion'. Hi, my wife has had her Jazz hybrid for a month and still getting used to it. She noticed that there is an amber "i" on the digital dash and on scrolling through the various menus has found that there is and amber "SOS" on the dash. We haven't noticed this before. Is this normal? the SOS button in the roof is illuminated in red, we don't know if this is the normal state either! One further question, the car is used mainly for short journeys to the shops, is it better to have the gear selector in "B" or "D"? thanks

Hi We have a 59 reg 2009/2010 Honda Jazz. Literally never gone wrong. I’ve replaced the tyres and the battery 2 years ago. Today it died. It doesn’t appear to be the battery as we tried to jump start it. I’m calling the AA out tomorrow but they may charge £99 to come out. Only strange thing that’s happened is both our keys have been playing up, I thought mine was running out of battery or something. But I didn’t know my partners was also doing the same. Any suggestions before calling AA out as money is a bit tight at the moment? Thanks in advance G

Hi, I seem to!have blown a fuse for the reversing lights whilst changing a bulb but now the instrument panel doesn’t illuminate and none of the warning lights when you switch the ignition on. The car starts and runs fine. I can only assume that the fuse feeds both circuits? The owner’s manual is confusing, there seems to be fuse boxes all over the place!......HELP !,,,

Am third owner of 2008/9 Japanese built Honda Jazz EX iShift. Its original radio/music centre consul has been replaced by a fully integrated Honda SatNav/Music system and bluetooth HFT link. The generic owners manual that came with the car doesn’t cover the functions for this touch screen system which has a Garmin navigation programme on a 40GB HDD. Have managed to find some limited data for the Music Catcher and navigation functions, but have nothing for the HFT link set up procedure. Honda appear to have no data for this, now obsolete, system. A PDF set does exist - somewhere - but so far, my searches have drawn a blank. For the record, this unit (new) from Honda origin…
