JRA your post sums up the way we are treated by our lords and masters, they seem to forget that they work for us (or should) instead it seems they can get away with any thing with no real recall and after 5, 10 or so years walk awalk without a care.
-
yep mine too, clean but a little on the edge and the girls come out on top !!
-
With all the doom and gloom that our lords and master are creating, what happen to Statemen (or women) that lead this country?? Hope you can have a laugh if this opens. Alan One for the girls!.mp4

Interesting just checked my 18 year old CRV and seems I would have to pay £8 in Birmingham and Bristol but clear on all others, checked on the Goverment website. AS I live in Fenland and have no plans to venture into the drug and gang riddled cities I won't worry too much yet,,,,,,drugs and gangs ....we have plenty here as well. Alan

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

The Traffic lights, my parents bought them back from a hoilday in Spain or Italy I would have been around 20 ish had them fitted in a Hillman Minx Est, a friend who worked at a garage fitted wired them up.
-
Remember................ trips away and collecting those little flags that you stuck on the back windows to show where you had been ..... the waving hand (and nodding dog) that you had at the back window...... anyone have the traffic lights hanging in the back window - went red when you braked, amber when you had your foot off the brake but not moving and of course green when the accelerator......cost me £1.10/- to have wired in (£1.50p for you younger members!!) 6ft flexible aerials.....

Never drove your car without your coton backed driving gloves and sunglasses on...... and your name and your girlfriends acrossed the top of the windscreen,,,,,,

See the fuel prices are on the up again, same every year at hoilday time the prices always go up. Many years ago I managered a service station (Chevron Oil Co) !!! and the prices were always increased at those times because people are normally going out and about more. Remember - Texaco, Regent, Total, anymore??????

Always thought this sumed up things very well when it first appeared.... Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights I Want It Now Someone Else Is To Blame I'm A Victim Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
