Hello all!.Just signed up here. I may not be a typical member...🙃 OK. I'm 72 and got my Honda in 2012 from my brother, who is younger than me. Most people are... He had it from new in 2004. It's a 5 door 2.0L Type S..which I believe is a fairly uncommon beast. Still only on 72000 miles after 17 years. All original and I have no interest in modifying or customising it. Just hoping it lasts well enough to save me buying another car before I start dribbling or forget my name etc. 🤣. I'm long past the days of changing engines on the drive in midwinter etc, so I leave most work to younger fitter chaps these days, but I do change the oil and filter reg…

  6. One morning last week I started car set controls to de-mist but fan did not come on. tried various settings, but still no blow. drove off still altering settings and blower did come on and worked fine till I got to my destination. Following morning fan came on, worked fine for 5 mins then went off and has not worked since. checked fuses and they are fine. Wondering if you folks have any experience of this and a resolve ? Good morning all, I am a new member and unfamiliar with how this all works so please bear with me. First question: I see that this is a UK club which is fine with me, however, I'd also like to find one a little closer to home in Savannah, GA/USA. Any suggestions would be appreciated. So, my main reason for joining a Honda Owner's Club is to get advice on repairs and maintenance for my 2000 Accord SE. It has just over 166,000 miles. I am currently in the process of getting two or three quotes since there is a fair amount of work that needs to be done. I went to the local dealership yesterday and they quoted me $300 to $400 to bring it in and have…

Hi everyone. Thanks for the “In” I have a problem with the flat screen on my head unit. The right hand end of the touch screen doesn’t work. Honda dealer in Guildford did a factory reset - - fail. I’m told it is near impossible to fit an after market head unit, and I’ve been quoted £2000 for a new unit. HELP PLEASE!

Hi all, just joined up in the hope of learning a bit more about my Honda jazz 2016 ex I am a 50s and consider myself a competent diy mechanic but I have been sorely tested of late….. my beloved grey jazz threw a paddy on a busy A road and hot engine light came on lost a greater part of coolant through radiator boiling, anyway net result it got recovered on back of aa truck to my home in the dark. next day noticed a small hose had leaked most of coolant from pipe below throttle body, replaced it, filled and burped but thought I had air bubbles but I now believe head gasket gone as pressurises pipes bubbles in rad tank and expands coolant at rate of …

Hi I am in a small village on the outskirts of Swansea I have a 55 reg Accord with 98,000 plus on the clock but still running as sweet as a nut. It was recalled a couple of years ago because of a possible paassenger air bag deployment which would fill the passengers face with shards of plastic. Last year the air bag light came on and my very good and trusted garage sorted it for me. The air bag squib wass £690 and I got the conputer, which could not be reset, vrom Lithuania (identical number). Have any othger members had the same problem. Do any of the members know of a reliable Honda specialst garage in the Swansea area, please? All the bes…

Hi, thanks for letting me join. Hopefully getting a 57 plate 2.2 CDTI S GT 3 door in Burnt Orange. Not sure when I'll be able to pick it up with all this lockdown going on. I'm new to Honda but fancied a change and after reading reviews etc the advice was try and get a 2.2 diesel as it's a good motor. Looking forward to getting her 😁👍 Andy

Good afternoon everyone, Been meaning to get on here to talk all things Integra, but never got round to it. However, now retired so hoping to get involved in interesting conversations on motors. Also which has again spurred me on is that I could do with tracking down a brake sensor for my rear offside on the DC2. Anyone know any where that might sell me one please? Other than the sensor, the car is in excellent condition with only 63k on the clock and will go forever. I just want to be reassured that keeping it does not result in having problems with parts. Had to track down a re-conditioned brake caliper last year. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise …

Hi I own a Civic type S 59 plate in metallic blue and am inquiring whether anybody has had trouble with excessive chip damage to hood and front wings. I have looked at cars of comparable age in the same geographical area and have not come across any as badly damaged as mine, wondering whether this has been noticed by anyone else with this model in this colour, possible paint problem?

hi, I've just bought a 2001 Civic 1.6i VVT auto Executive, 70K 1 owner with history. this is my second Honda, I had a Z600 in the 1970's which was an absolute hoot to drive, crash gearbox/double declutching and all. The Civic is very civilised. I've had various other Japanese cars including a couple of JDM Estimas, and a few Suzukis. Apatr from a couple of supermarket bumps this Civic is immaculate, I'll sort the minor scrapes in the next couple of weekends.

Hello there, just collected my first Honda. Gone electric with the E:Ny1. (Catchy Name?) Very happy so far, range not perfect but ok for our current needs. Moved from Lexus, in part a little upset with their approach to the canbus thefts making their cars the most stolen in the UK by volume sold. Still a fan of Lexus quality and service, had LS400, LS430, GS300, IS200, IS300 and NX300 over many years so hoping Honda can delight me. Last three cars have been NX, Westfield and Corvette C6 so bit of a mixed bag.

Hi, I own a 2011 CRV, with 41000 miles on clock, I'm having a problem that seems to be a slipping clutch, the symptoms are in low revs in 2 or 3 when starting to accelerate I hear the rpm go slightly higher than the accelerate speed, also there's a jump on the rpm counter. But the handbrake test, I,e try to pull away with handbrake on doesn't confirm the clutch slipping, any help much appreciated, Tom Hill
