Hello ! I am new to this site. I have just inherited a 'P' reg Prelude 2.2 VTEC. It's a beautiful car and is a good runner with a recent MOT. However it needs a paint job (the lacquer has peeled) and the headlamps have been bodged so that needs sorting out. Only mechanical issue is that there is a loud squeal on starting that fades after 30 secs or so - I'm told it's the water pump bearing that settles down once the water gets round? Otherwise it's in good nick. I really don't know whether to sell it to an enthusiast as-is (if so where do I advertise it), do it up and sell it then, or just keep it. I have a 2017 HONDA HR-V BLACK EDITION I-DTEC 120 (1.6cc) & have ongoing issues with the idle stop and wondering if this is a common problem? Over the past 2 years it’s been in the Garage at least 6 times for the same issue or issues relating to the idle stop and is booked back into garage agin tomorrow. The idle stop works for so long (anything from a few days to max 6 months) and then randomly stops working with a dash warning showing low battery charge. It was last in the garage 2 weeks ago when they again charged the battery overnight, fault again seemed to be rectified but 10 days & 300 miles later the same issue. Hi I am a new member and have recently bought a nearly new (ex demo) Jazz Hybid. So far I am very pleased and impressed with it. I am getting up to 70 mph locally, and am also pleased with the performance and equipment level. As an ex demo it is the top of the range SE with all the 'whistles and bells'. After 12 enjoyable months with a Campervan, we now own a Honda Jazz Hybrid; bit smaller but love it already! Only done about 40 miles so far, but very impressed. Got such a great deal on a brand new one, and got 5 years free servicing just for taking out £5k's worth of Honda Finance (that's the minimum) and paying the rest with cash. Also got extra 2 years Parts and Labour Warranty, so what's not to like? 😊

I have just bought a 19 reg Civic 1000 turbo. When I test drove it & drove others also, even a Jazz, the speed limit icon on the dashboard screen started flashing if I went 4 mph above the speed limit - great. Now it doesn't & I can't find any setting to remedy this. Any advice please? Thanks.

HI, I have just joined the forum to see if anyone can help with an issue I have with my 2018 CRV Sat Nav system. I have just updated the sat nav with the latest maps etc from the Garmin site and have experienced a problem with error "Navigation System Displays "Can't Unlock Maps" or "No Map Data" " being displayed. I tried the instructions on the Garmin support page to resolve this but get the same problem even after that guidance was followed. Now being advised to take car to dealer for sat nav service - that is OK but in current lockdown garages are obviously not open. Obviously not using the car much right now so is more a frustration than a big issue but if anyo…

Hi everyone, have been told I may need a new distributor for 2001 Honda Accord 3.0 V6. Car is perfect other then randomly does not start, happens 1 in 50 times. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Good evening everyone, just registered here as i believe that there is never enough places where honda is being discussed. In one month i will be owning my accord mk7 2.2 ictdi sport for 10 years. Woohooo what a tine we had together until this point. However, a few days ago i acquired accord 2.2 idtec type s tourer and i am absolutely loving this car! I hope I'll get at least 10 years out of it too as my old accord is still perfect to drive just little bit too outdated.

Hi, we're picking up our CRV tomorrow 10 reg 2.2 diesel manual, bronze. It's a really nice looking car, we had a 99 accord hatch 1.8 many years ago, it was a lovely car but 25 mpg round town was ridiculous. Any other members in Devon??. Neil

Hi, I’m new here. Our Peugeot 108 lease is about to end and we are looking to upgrade by buying a used Honda Civic. We are expecting to spend between £3000 and £6000. I know Honda have a good reputation for reliability which is what attracted us. I see there are various petrol engine options 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 1.0 and diesels. I’m interested to hear opinions please on whether one of these engines is generally thought of as the best or the one to steer clear of. Any advice really appreciated, as I have no experience with Civics yet.

Hi all New around here but not to the Honda world. Been driving a BMW 340i F30. Had a Accord CL9 before that as a daily. My first joy in a Honda was my Civic. EJ6 with a K20. Full K Tune swap. 5 stud hub conversions. DC5 blue Recaros just to name a few choice additions. Now driving a Accord Tourer Type S CM2. This time round it will be more a view subtle things to enjoy compared to this project. So far added some Team Heko wind deflectors and a new stereo So yeh that’s my life story. You’ll see me around
