Hello, I recently purchased an FK2 2011 Honda Civic SI and as a first time Honda owner, I'm looking for ideas from owners of the same or anyone else for that matter to enhance my driving experience and general tips and tricks. Just bought a gear knob and gear gaiter for starters. Looking to add an aftermarket touchscreen for handsfree phone connectivity, navigation, music and possibly reverse view in the future. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I have never done anything like this before but consider myself mechanically inclined and am really looking forward to getting my hands dirty. Great to be here btw. Looking forward to seeing what peoples' Honda jo…

Hi all , I'm Dave( surprsingly) and I've just purchased a 2008 low mileage , one owner CRV 2.2 Cdti EX. Its my first Honda although my wife has had a Honda Jazz from brand new back in 2010 which has been bulletproof except for when I broke the front driveshaft , so I decided to join Honda ownership. 8. Hi, just joined the forum. Whilst I love the Jazz, now covered about 26000 miles, I have suffered from intermittent losses of engine power, right from first bought from new. They can last a few seconds or several minutes, but in all cases, the engine never cuts out and tickover is steady at about 800 rpm. This suggests that fuel or air starvation is the likely cause. Removing and refitting the fuel cap makes no difference. The worst occasion only cleared itself after turning off the engine for about 30 minutes. I have asked the Honda dealer to investigate at each service but no fault was recorded. Another problem which may be related is the la…

Hello everyone My name is Tony, and i live in Dagenham which is on the east London Essex border. I've just purchased my first ever Honda a CRV EX 2011. Have to say at this point I think it is the best car I've ever owned. Still getting used to talking to the computer at the mo, and getting my head around all of the gadgets that are available. I already have my first question to ask, so will navigate to the correct forum and ask away!! Best wishes to all. Tony

  13. Started by Taz,

Hi all I'm Taz from the Doncaster area in the UK. I've owned various Honda cars and motorbikes over the years starting with my first motorbike in the 70's. My first Honda car was a 1976 Civic - that was when they were renowned for being rust buckets. I had it for quite a few years, and sold it to a work mate with 90,000 miles on the clock. He kept it several years, but eventually scrapped it due to the rust. He drove it into the scrap yard as the engine was still going strong. I've also had the Triumph Acclaim, which was a combined effort between Triumph and Honda - the Honda engine really made that car sing. That was followed by a Honda Civic S - wow - very nice car…

Hi Everyone, My name is Steve from Reading. We have a 130k miles Honda FR-V 2.0 VTEC that we bought as a family runabout 10yrs ago, we have put 70k of those miles on it with little trouble. It is battle-scarred but reliable, and does a great job of towing our small caravan. I do a lot of my own home mechanics apart from big jobs which need a vehicle lift. I was a long time member of the Honda Karma forum but on checking that today found it was closed down, so came here instead.

Firstly, Happy New Year to one and all. Just bought my third CR-V, a MK4, 2015 EX facelift model having previously had a W reg. MK1 and a 52 plate MK2. Have just developed electrical issue with the AUTO Light function, amber warning keeps coming on, temperature display flashes, NAV goes bright then returns to pre-set and electric seats loose stored positions. Apart from this, loving it to bits. Also would like to add Apple Car Play to existing GARMIN system. Would appreciate any suggestions! Many thanks. Si.

  23. Started by Peter,

Hello ! I am new to this site. I have just inherited a 'P' reg Prelude 2.2 VTEC. It's a beautiful car and is a good runner with a recent MOT. However it needs a paint job (the lacquer has peeled) and the headlamps have been bodged so that needs sorting out. Only mechanical issue is that there is a loud squeal on starting that fades after 30 secs or so - I'm told it's the water pump bearing that settles down once the water gets round? Otherwise it's in good nick. I really don't know whether to sell it to an enthusiast as-is (if so where do I advertise it), do it up and sell it then, or just keep it. Anybody able to help will get free beer when we are …

Going to be taking my old 2.2 ictdi mk7 accord on track, as I’m getting a new car in the coming weeks. what performance gains can I get and what mods are available for the N22A2 engines? I have already had an EGR and DPF DELETE, race cat, and straight piped twin tip exhaust, stage 1 remap, battery has been relocated to the boot and a ram air cold air intake fitted. I’m waiting on delivery of a lightweight flywheel, and performance clutch. What further performance mods are available for this engine.
