Hi Really trying to get a feel if my car a diesel 2012 type S Accord estate (Tourer) Mk 8 is a bit of a strug or normal, reasons for my question are below but to save reading them . But essentially as any body with a post say 2010 Honda diesel ever had the first stage DPF filter come on (the one without the exclamation mark)? Also what sort of mpg are other Type S Accords getting? hi, new here. Bought my 2.2 i-dtec auto few weeks ago. I'm getting around 31mpg, is that norm? Everyone else seems to be getting around 40+ mpg. What could be the issue? My driving style is easy on throttle, no crazy hard acceleration, thanks.

Hi Gents, need advice! I need help here, I hate how my 2.0 petrol (R20A3) engine sounds, well if I can even say "sounds" as the engine is as quiet as a Nissan Leaf! I would be ever so grateful if anyone would point me in the right direction, either someone who has installed a cold air intake to a 2.0 or if not, which air intake to buy? Note: The engine seems to be really similar, if not the same, to my previous 1.8 civic (R18A2) engine I had. Please see attached.

Can anyone identify the noise? It almost sounds like injectors but the tapping/ticking noise seems to be too loud? Is this normal? Only thing I can think of is maybe I'm due a valve adjustment?

I have an issue with the front passenger side window and the rear view mirror. Both don't work, opened the door casing, checked the wires, fuses seem okay too. Unsure what's wrong. Can anyone help. Birmingham U.K Honda owner

I have a 2011 type S, the stupid auto levelling headlights are a nuisance especially on these dark nights. If I'm parked up stationary then the lights come up high and if I jump on and off the tow bar they adjust accordingly. But when I'm driving they just go to their fully dipped no matter what so I can only see about 4m down the road. Anyone know what to try? Testing resistance on the sensors or something? If not can I unplug them when I get them in a good position? Which plug would it be? TIA

Have a 2011 type S tourer. There's an odd rattling noise when pulling from low revs. Most noticeable when engaging the clutch. For example I can hold the brake and bring the clutch to the bite point and I hear it. Reminds me of a noise from a loose heat shield on an old car. The fact that it does it in all forward gears but not reverse makes me think it could be a gearbox problem. Anyone any ideas?

New here. I have recently got a 2.2 idtec 2013 with 80k miles and it's great. I noticed yesterday that the engine whines on revving up and whines when revving down. No whine on idle. Checked it on the drive whilst static so no gearbox or drive train issues. I read somewhere that this is normal ??!! If Not normal then maybe alternator bearings ??

Hi I've got a faulty steering rack motor as decided to fail and cause the steering to pull to one side resulting in mot failure. The part number is 53601-TL0-E03 According to the garage who have asked Honda dealership I believe for that. My 2009 Honda Accord 2,2 i-DTEC with 165,000km (100,000 miles) stalled during low speed and has not started ever since. Engine is cranking but won’t start. The car was at Honda facility where at first, thought something was wrong with the automatic transmission or ECU. Later said fuel pump is damaged and will have to be replaced along with the injectors. As the estimated costs where way too high, I decided to tow the car to my indie mechanic. He said the pump is working, removed the injectors, had them checked and found there was nothing wrong with them either. Still, the car will not start. Lastly, he thought something was wrong with the EGR valve…

Hi, I'm after a suggestion for a cost effective decent OBD reader device that will tell me the engine management symbol codes on my Honda Accord? The engine light came on for a few hours today while travelling in Wales. Strangely it went off when we got back into England. Car seemed to drive as normal with no obvious symptoms. But before I take it to the garage I'd like to check what it might be related to...A) in case I can DIY a fix and B) so I don't get taken for a ride by the garage.

I own a Honda Accord 2.4 EX I-VTEC 4DR [adas] 2012 I have recently had trouble with the satellite navigation system and my clock. I can't seem to get any update for my navigation system the system since the beginning of this year does not allow me to alter/set the correct time and give me correct destination traveling time. Hi, i have a problem with my honda, i've been so many times to all mechanics in my town , iven to dealership and still nobody discover whats the problem. The car is shacking when i accelerate between 40 and 60 mile /h over 60 is not... and is not shaking the sterringweell, is the all car ...ive check the gear box and is fine ....i don't know...any one have this problem ?

Halo to all I have accord cu2 (2.4ivtec), and i have problems with ignition. Pump is working i can hear that, but when i starting engine it is imposible to start from first. I change sparks before 500km and nothing changed. When engine start, it works fine. There is no check engine light. I check ecu there is no some fault. When engine start there is drop of rpm, and than work fine. Can someone tell me what is the problem? In front thank you.

Went to buy a 2009 accord 2.2 139k But it has this warning it drives OK Has no engine management light a cheap obd tool didn't say anything But it seems to relate to fuel injection system. I can't take it to a garage as its not my car the car is priced accordingly . Since having a new battery replacement I have noticed that when I enter a destination in my Honda Sat.Nav. it displays the correct mileage but it also tell me how long it will take BUT the time is always past midnight. For example if I put in an address in my high street it will display 0:10. even though it is currently 15:30 real time. I have tried going into the settings and setting the clock time but I think the issue is WET always read 00:00. Can't seem to set this.....but if it is automatic it is not picking up time signal. Any idea please?

Hi Everyone Can anyone help me with a part number for the (highlighted in red) rear driver's side undertray. i need to replace it since the flange nearest the exhaust has rusted away and is now held on with a tie wrap! It's for a 2011 Accord Tourer Type S. My local Honda dealership couldn't help and I can't find any diagram that shows it. Thanks in advance Alan

Does anyone know of a decent set of instructions or YouTube video that will explain how to remove the steering wheel. I need to get mine off to replace the steering wheel controls for the radio.
