  1. Dishonourable, insane HONDA? Judge for yourself... My 2019 Jazz developed a fault with selecting gears after 2.5K miles of use from new. Under warranty my local Honda garage attempted repairs. They attempted repairs for the same fault on six separate occasions. The car was evaluated each time by Hondas technicians, judged to be faulty and taken in by the garage for investigation and repair. On at least two separate occasions replacement parts were fitted to the vehicle including a new sleeve set synchronizer, case comp transmission, case comp clutch, bearings, oil seals etc. The repairs were billed to Honda UK (Warranty) and totalled £2,316.92. All the six times the …

Hi Guys & Gals Just bought a Front and Rear View Dash Cam for the CRV and thought I would have a go at fitting it this week, It is not an easy job as some might suggest with havin to tuck the wiring neatly away out of sight in the bodywork panels and making sure all is as covert as possible, I have plugged the power lead into the Cigarette Lighter socket for the time being until I can sort out which fuse I will and can connect it to on a permanent basis, It works fine but one thing to watch out for when feeding the power cable through is that you don't get it caught on any sharp objects, as I did with the result I cut through the cable and it cost me some extra t…

I have been tinkering about today with the CRV and thought I would remove the Thurle Roof Rack as shown on my Profile, I don't use it all of the time and I have noticed that it does cause some wind noise when driving, My Daughter mentioned this when driving on the Bournemouth Spur Road at the Weekend, also of cause I probably think it doesnt help the fuel economy , So off it has come and packed away neatly in the Shed until I require it in future, I have put all the nuts and bolts in plastic bags so I can find them when I need to refit the Roof Rack. so another job done !!!

Hello all you Honda lovers out there. My beautiful Civic was stolen from what I thought was a quiet, safe place to park it. I was wrong. Last week my car was taken, because apparently it has become a sought after collector’s car and worth some money. I bought it 28 years ago and it was my pride and joy so I’m choked. If anyone out there sees a new to the area Electric Blue Civic Esi Reg. L767 FMO please will you let me know, although I realise it may have new plates and and chassis no. by now, or may even be on a boat to China so I’m told, But I have to try because the police have shown no interest at all, and this is my chance. Thank you for reading. All…

Hi, does anybody body know if there’s a way to reprogramme a 2nd remote fob to a 2005 FRV? i already have one working key & fob. Have ordered a 2nd hand fob as a spare. i know with some other brands there’s a sequence of events where you can programme another fob (providing ECU will accept Nth fob) by using an existing key whilst in ignition. Don’t need to tap into ECU/OBD

Hi , I thought I would share this tip with you, I have been using DiamondBrite Ceramic Glaze for a while after washing my CRV and the results are fantastic, It comes in a Spray Bottle and its easy to use, it puts a ceramic glaze protective coating on the paintwork and provides excellent beading when it rains. its not that expensive and gives a mirror like finish after use, My car is Night Hawk Black so not easy to keep clean but this certainly helps.Give it a try and let other Members know if your as pleased as I am with the result Just a Tip Guys BAZZER RN 1

My gen 9 civic 1.6 DTEC is in need of a few brake related parts. Local Honda dealership price and availability of brake caliper seal kits £70 per axel and ordered from Brussels. Jeeze there's only 1 ring seal and 1 expanding boot seal per caliper. I questioned if this was the complete caliper or just the seals. Appears the calipers are near £500 per corner. Halfords and the likes will only supply complete calipers, looking to increase their profits. I'm going to require discs, pads and brake fluid can anyone advise a cheap reliable one stop shop or do I need to search tinternet. Love my Honda though its not without design problems. Cant see speedometer as steering w…

  19. Dear Members, I am looking for some advice.I have a 2019 Honda Civic VTEC 1.0 litre, 3 cylinder petrol automatic. No problems until two days ago. To explain - I am currently unable to drive due to a medical problem but should be resuming driving on May 7th (7 month ban). In order to stop the battery going flat I have run the engine (with car stationary) every 3 weeks for 15 minutes. Two days ago I tried to start the car. It would not start and I thought a nearly dead battery was the problem. I trickle charged the battery for 24 hours and tried again today. Dash lights up and starter motor turns but engine will not start. Any suggestions on likely causes and s…

Good evening fellow Hondeers. I am currently broken hearted at the discovery of a circular scratch on the front passenger door after only 2 weeks of owning my beautiful CR-V. I was recommended Meguairs Scratch X 2.0 at my local Halfords as I can't feel the scratch with my fingernail. I'm afraid of permanently damaging the paintwork though. Does anyone have any experience of using this? It cost a tenner but I'll bin it if I have to. A local body shop said I'd be looking at about £120 which I think is a bit steep! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know where I can obtain a matt black cover to prevent sunshine glare from the shiny dash reflecting glare on the windscreen? Also, do Honda offer an aftrrmarket catalytic conveter protection cage? I gather Honda cars are espeiecially prone to having their cats stolen... or maybe a specialist company alternative supplier?

OK I'll changing the ATF and PAS fluid in my (20 year old) Legend soon. Workshop manual states 'Honda ATF Z1' which I think is now out of date. Was thinking I'd use a synthetic alternative to Honda fluid simply because it's cheaper. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm sure there's a thread re. this somewhere but I can't find it! I've got a Next Base 402G but I'm concerned re. best route down the A pillar - from memory there's an Air Bag warning on the trim at the top. So is it safe to simply tuck the cable in down the 'screen edge? If not, then where? Thanks in advance.
