Hi All I have noticed lately that my Crv has developed a squeal when depressing the Clutch Pedal, Had a good look through other Honda Owners comments on this and apparently it can be a problem on some Hondas, The clutch is operating fine, so located the Clutch Slave Cylinder and gave it good dose of WD40 and some 3 in 1 around the rubber seals and the slave cylinder piston, okay its not the same as removing the piston and doing a proper job, but the squealing noise has stopped , and a relief not to get this noise every time, I will let others know the outcome. Seems my 2005 CRV desel 2.2 CRV is after 136.000 mikes in need of a new clutch been given a priice of £1100 fitted does this seem a fair price? Its booked in for next week at the local garage I use. Alan

Can anyone tell me will any other coil/distributor core unit fit on a H-plate concerto ex auto as finding this part is a nightmare and too bloody costly for a new one direct from Honda. I have been told that its the same engine as the rover 216 and certain civic ones might fit. I would really appreciate your help in this matter.

Hi Members, its a long Shot probably, but does any Member know which Tyres can offer a comfortable ride on my 4 X 4 1997cc CRV Exec , Not lookinking at Michelin or the expensive makes , maybe a middle range price tyre, with our roads in such a shocking state, I thought a softer make of tyre would give a more pleasant comfortable ride. Anyone able to tell me the cost of a CR-V i-CTDi in 2005 seems such a well appointed cars so must have cost a far bit then.

Hi, wonder if anyone has successfully installed an isofix car seat on the rear central isofix points and still been able to use the passenger side seatbelt?! I've installed the seat no problem but now the seatbelt plug is impossible to reach, despite the seat being listed as compatible with this position. Thanks!

I picked up my first ever Honda two weeks ago - 2016 1.6 idtec EX. I have noticed that there is a clutch judder when pulling away or if moving slowly in traffic. My last 4 cars have been auto boxes so I first thought it may be my driving style but after a few days I got my son to try it and he too felt that the clutch didn’t feel right. I took it back to the dealer (main Honda franchise) who I bought it from and said I thought there was an issue with the clutch. They tested it and said there was a “slight” judder on clutch engagement but it was “within acceptable limits”. Hi.I have had my 2020 Jazz for 2 months.I have had this same issue happen approx 10 times & wondered if anyone could advise please.When I have been driving with cruise control on for some unknown reason the cruise control seems to stop working & whatever I seem to press it won’t activate again until I come to a complete stop either behind traffic,roundabout or traffic lights.When I press the cruise control button the symbol is lit up in white but another symbol appears to the right of it saying “cruise control off”.Every time I press the cruise control button this comes up until I brake & stop completely.I have been on the motorway for 40 odd miles before bein…

Hi all. A few days ago someone scratched my crv 2007 and the plastic cover of the passenger rear door came of. A have the part but is damaged. Any help reinstall it or buy new. I was anable to find any online to buy and fit it my self.

anybody have any info on 2007 petrol crv gear change, I had her for over 4 years and gear change has been a bit notchy on lower gears but not really got any worse , when I bought it from Honda dealer in derby they said it was ok , but is there any thing that can be done to make gear change smoother like oil change or linkage change or do I put up with it as a characteristic of crvs please let me know as I love car to bits and would love to keep her

I am owner of a 2015 honda crv.....the infotainment system has stopped working (just get the Honda brand logo and a small spinning wheel - looks like its searching for something). I have taken it into the Honda dealer (Listers Northampton) and they say nothing can be done other than replacing the unit, and are quoting me £3,500 for this. Has anyone come across this before or am I being taken for ride?! Thanks Phil

Getting my car through the MOT is always is a bit of a trial. It takes ages to get the car engine/exhaust warm enough to pass the emissions test . I always use super 97 fuel with Redex and whilst the car really drives well it still takes a while to get it hot. The car is an import (2005) so is there any engine management change I can make or is it a case of a decoke or something else ? Thanks John C

I don't know if anyone else on this forum has ever had seriously bad Dealership experiences when taking their car in to get serviced. When I purchased my 95 Prelude from a private owner the service book showed a PERFECT history FULL of Dealership stamps. To check if they were genuine I dyno'd the car and found it STILL made 185bhp at the crank and 143bhp at the wheel!! Buoyed up by this I decided that took keep up the cars value I would contribute to have it serviced at my local dealership, Western Honda. However, when I took the vehicle in for a service the last thing I expected was the garage to change my oil, inspect the car and charges me £492!! I could have…

Hi all.I have just asked to review the service history for my Honda Jazz 2023 purchased Oct 2024.The history has that it had body repairs to the value of £950 only done a few days before purchase & a bumper swap a few days after my deposit was paid.Not a word was said about this.Has the Honda garage got the right to hide these details from me?I am now selling the car but obviously have to provide the service history for my p/ex which could maybe impact the sale???Would appreciate what owners thoughts are please.Thank you.

Dishonourable, insane HONDA? Judge for yourself... My 2019 Jazz developed a fault with selecting gears after 2.5K miles of use from new. Under warranty my local Honda garage attempted repairs. They attempted repairs for the same fault on six separate occasions. The car was evaluated each time by Hondas technicians, judged to be faulty and taken in by the garage for investigation and repair. On at least two separate occasions replacement parts were fitted to the vehicle including a new sleeve set synchronizer, case comp transmission, case comp clutch, bearings, oil seals etc. The repairs were billed to Honda UK (Warranty) and totalled £2,316.92. Hi all,new member here. I own a 2011 Honda CRV 2.2 idtec diesel. I love the car to bits but have recently have a problem with a split EGR pipe (quite a common fault apparently). Before spending a small fortune getting it repaired I wondered if any members have gone down the ERG delete route and did it work ok? I have read that deleting the EGR can generally improve performance. Im,e ok to fit the blanking plate myself but will have to find a tuner to delete the system in the cars ECU. Hi, I have a 2005 2.2 i-ctdi saloon. Love it to bits, but..... Now and again, when I accelerate fairly hard in 2nd or 3rd, the engine will die momentarily and then pick up speed as normal. Not the end of the world I know, but quite disconcerting when you are in mid-overtaking mode. I have also experienced this at it's extreme causing the car to go into limp-mode very occasionally until the vehicle is left switched off for a while. Anyone got any ideas as to what the cause might be? Appreciate any help on this :)
