Hi all. Just thought I'd comment on access to the oil filter Mk2 2.0 petrol) in case anyone didn't already know! All the guides seem to state that you need to raise the car up to access the filter. We'll, having just changed mine I can tell you that's not necessary. If you point the steering to the right, you can easily reach the filter through the wheel arch. Simple. Next on the list is valve clearances...

Anyone had their cat stolen recently? I have so I tried this. Unbolt the bottom bolt on the nudge bars and lower them and drill new holes in the support brackets then bolt in new position. Thief can no longer get under vehicle. Then purchase a 120db PIR detector (cheap) and attach it anywhere underneath with magnetic strip so if thief jacks up car and goes underneath it will go off and scare them off. Cheaper than a new cat

Hi I have a 2005 2.2 CTDI and I suspect that the aircon compressor is failing. I am thinking of simply bypassing air con with a shorter belt and am wondering in anyone has had any experience with this or can advise on required belt length, etc Any advice would be appreciated UK based

Hiya My rear suspension is appearing to be (it is) sagging on the off side. The whole of the rear suspension seems to be lower than maybe it should be but is noticeably lower on the O/S. I've heard an intermittent clonk which appears to be coming from there over big speed bumps or dismounting a kerb. Rear Shocks? Springs? Ideas on how I could check this? **EDIT - I've just been under the car again and the spring has snapped! Not sure how I missed that!!??!! Cheers Jon

Does anyone know how i can get the side hinged rear door open. The top glass part will open but the door wont. There is no handle on the inside.

My daughter and I each have a Honda CR-V mine is a 2006 reg 2007 and my daughters is 2010 model,we have noticed on both cars that the drivers side front tyre keeps on losing air, and we obviously keep pumping to get back the required tyre pressure. After a few days the tyre pressure goes down. This happens continuously over a number of days. Both cars have been back to tyre companies who clean the wheel and that’s it, unfortunately the tyre companies have been unable to correct. The situation in either of our cars, help can anyone suggest a remedy, the tyre conditions are nearly new on both cars, and it is only the front drivers side tyre that is affected

Hello I have just purchased a new Kenwood DAB radio which comes with a windscreen mounted aerial. I have a 2005 CR-V with the side curtain airbags installed in the front a-pillar. I need to remove the pillar cover to install the aerial. I have looked online and cant seem to find much info on how, and if its safe, to remove it. In the Haynes manual it says any panels with a clip with airbag printed on it should only be removed by an Honda mechanic! I have attached a couple of pictures of the said panel. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards

Anyone know where I can get the tailgate gas strut and little brackets that attach it to the back door and car . ? i have a 2006 CD-Ti . Unfortunately these replacements seem like gold dust , i can get a pair of glass gas struts for about 50p on ebays

how do you bleed air out the diesel system

Hi, we have got a 2006 diesel Honda CRV, which has been in the garage since Christmas! It has totally baffled them, engine management light wont go off and it keeps going into limp mode. ECU unit has been sent off twice but no fault codes showing up, mechanic has changed loads of bits and done everything he can think of that would be causing the problem but still nothing, he has spoken to Honda several times but still not working. Wondering if trying a new engine wiring loom would help but they seem to be hard to get hold of. If anyone knows of one that would be great. Hi All i am hoping someone can help me. i have an 06 MK11 CRV 2.2 CDTI it has recently developed a knocking noise on the front which i am unable to find the source of nothing cam up on the MOT and i asked them to look hard this isn't the most worrying thing though. When accelerating especially in second i get a strange vibration/wobble coming up through the car. It seems to be when the car is in the power band as the turbo comes on for example. Does the CRV suffer from drive shaft issues or prop bushes? The vibration was defiantly more noticeable when towing. i had the clutch and fly wheel replaced just over a year ago at Honda so i am hoping that it wouldn't…

Hi all, I've noticed this pipe on my crv broken, it's been bodged with glue from previous owner. Honda don't know what the part is from their system it's showing as my vehicle doesn't have this pipe. I'm after both pieces the long hose arrowed in pic and the joint it connects too. Extra credit if anyone as part numbers 😂👍 Interestingly does anyone know what this pipes function is ? I also havea knock sensor fault up could this broken (unconnected) pipe cause that ?

Hallo everyone! I am new here and don't know who is out there! Just bought a nice CRV Sport and everything is fine except the radio seems to be the basic model with no sat nav and if it has a changer other than the interface I have not seen it. For a car registered in 2007 this kit is a bit basic and I wondered if anyone knows of a product from here or China that is a good replacement for this model. Bluetooth and sat nav would be nice but I have a Tom Tom so the latter is less important. Thanks in advance. Julian

Hi all, I've joined to ask a question of a knowledgeable group: My headlights have stopped working on my normally excellent 2002 CRV. Side lights, inidcators and main beam all work. I've swopped the steering stalk mounted switch, check the fuses (which are independant L & R) and of course looked at the bulbs. Now at a loss, can anyone offer some thoughts please? Thanks

i need to carry a large package, i fold the rear seats down but i cannot remove the blind that covers the storage area any ideas???? jim

Had a flashing Green D (Drive) light on the CRV this afternoon, it lasted for about 2 minutes. A minute from home we noticed the flashing D light. Parked in the drive and turned off the ignition. Checked the manual, It said 'Possible transmission problem'. May sometimes be accompanied with a warning sign as well if there is a problem. There was no warning sign that I was aware of, but I went back out to check. When I started the engine everything was as normal. No flashing D light and no warning light. I have not seen the flashing light since.. has anyone else had this?
