Hello All, New to the forum but not to the 3rd gen CR-V - I owned an EX petrol auto until it was written off in 2019. I replaced it with a 2WD Volvo XC60, with the 2.0 version of the D5 diesel engine - the reason I went this route is because we were doing about 18k miles per year; it made sense to go with the Volvo as we were forced to replace the car anyway, and it ticked the fuel economy box better than a diesel CR-V. I also fancied trying something different, and I had heard good things about Volvo. 2+ years on....driving pattern has changed (now under 7k miles per year and likely to stay that way), and the Volvo has never been as good as the C…

Hi. I have a 2016 1.6 I-Dtec SR CRV. It has the engine warning light on which has been diagnosed with needing a new 'Air fuel ratio sensor 1'. The error code are Error code: P0133 and P2A00 The local Honda dealer has quoted me over 700 pounds to supply and fit the replacement sensor.. the car drives fine and fuel consumption is normal. So i'm looking to get a non-Honda replacement and a local specialist has recommended Denso as a alternative, but the problem is finding and sourcing the sensor needed. The Honda part number is Part number: H36531RZ0G01 Does anyone know where I can source a replacement sensor and what product numbe…

Hi All. After breaking down in my 2007 crv 2.2 diesel I had a new intercooler fitted and my turbo was sent off to be rebuilt. All seemed fine until last Sunday. I was driving on the flat at approx 60mph having done approx 30 miles. No warning lights, no noises, no smoke but from nowhere I had no throttle response and the revs started dropping until it cut out. I switched everything off, started engine again and off I went until the same happened again about a mile further. RAC detected nothing including on their diagnostic device. Took it back to the garage who stated everything was in full working order and no faults or error codes were found when they ran a diagnostic c…

Hi all, I have a 2019 CR-V 1.5 Turbo Manual AWD. This is my third CR-V and is the best yet. The others were EX automatics and this one now has the power and driveability that the others should have had. My issue is, does any one else notice an engine overrun when changing up gears. I find this very odd and to overcome this and get a smooth gear change I find that coming off gas for a second or two and then change gear does the trick. The delay allows the revs to drop a bit and then the gear change is much smoother. Has anyone else have this or is it just me. Regards.

Hi, folks. Adding to the To Do List on my 2.2 with 147k on it. I've a terrible worksheet to get thru on this. Currently looking at removing the EGR valve. I've managed to get a small peek and it's absolutely caked. Just amatter of time before a code appears. Slight hesitation from stationary or low speed. It goes like a rocket, but seems EGR is the problem. Any advice on removal please? Thanks.

Dear Forum, I have a question if I may please ? we have unfortunately lost one of our keyless fobs for the above vehicle. I've contacted 2 dealers to get prices for replacement keyless fobs, both have quoted eye watering prices, we are talking nearly £500 from one & £650 from the 2nd ! I expected a replacement to be expensive but wasn't prepared for those kind of prices. I'm just exploring different options, we may be able to claim from home insurance for a replacement for example. Are there any independent replacement key specialists that anyone would recommend or is this dealer replacement only ? Thank you in advance for your considered opi…

Hi folks. Bought an 07 CR V 2.2 i cdti. It's got Full Service and 147k on it. Hellish obvious Turbo Siren noise at around 2.5rmp and more. I'm hoping to check for Oil Starvation to the Turbo? It runs amazingly well. Boost great and goes like a small rocket. Or has anyone got any other ideas? I had the exact same noise on an Alfa Romeo 159 a few years ago and the turbo bearings whent resulting in a cloud of black smoke. Any advice on what I can check on the drive? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I have seen a previous post regarding a leaky boot and the spare tyre well filling up. Before I start tearing the rear apart, has anyone actually found the ingress point yet? Seems to be quite common but no online solution as yet. Thanks all.

Hi, The front nearside parking sensor on my 2011 CRV went wrong - dashboard displayed Check System and indicated which sensor was faulty. I replaced the sensor - the problem changed but did not go away. Now I do not get any faulty sensor indications - but as soon as I drop below 5mph - even if nothing within 100 metres of the car - the dashboard indicates that there is an obstacle close by - in other words the sensor reacts. Is there a way of rebooting the system, or maybe the sensor control module is faulty? I have seen these for sale but cannot find where they are located on the car - no mention in any manual I can find. Any suggestions would be appreciated Ma…

I purchased my Honda CRV from a Honda showroom; my sole reason was that my old car was old and high mileage and buying a newish car gives you the sense of security that there will be no fault. I have just hit a year and I have only done 4000 4500 miles on car due to covid reasons I started feeling here gear shift and occasional gear change that felt like two metal plates grinding. so, I took the car into to Honda as I paid for service and its under warranty. they asked me to leave the car for assessing for a day. I got a call back in afternoon car is ok to drive but there might something up, so we need to book it in for 2 days to look in gearbox and clutch. so, I handed m…

My CR-V went in for it's 4 year service and 3 days later I drove it, parked up did some shopping for an hour and came out and it wouldnt start. I called my breakdown company and they came out and it started straight away. The same thing happened last week, called the breakdown and they jump started it. it was fine, ran it for few hours but the next morning it wouldn't start. Charger said it was at 50% so charged to 100%, the next day it failed to start. Recharged battery, disconnected it from the car and left it overnight. Reconnected it back up and it started. Does anyone know anything about this type of problem in the 2017 CR-V iDTec please? I'm having to take i…

Good Morning Folks. I'm getting a clicking noise occasionally about 3 secs after I pull away on my auto CRV. My garage can't replicate the issue but say there is some play in one of the front drive shafts. They are saying that none of the motor factors they use carry them and it would have to be direct from Honda £725.00. They did find somewhere that recon them but they are dubious that they can get the parts to recon it if they send it to them. As the click is only minor at the moment and they cannot confirm that it is that I'm going to wait till it gets worse to confirm it is that and not a wheel bearing maybe. My baby has just hit the 129000 mark so gu…
