Hi all. We have a Honda crv 2007 2.2 diesel car and also a caravan. When we are towing the caravan the rear suspension feels soft even though I am within towing weights. Is there a way I can stiffen the suspension without it costing a fortune. Thanks in advance.

  5. I purchased my Honda CRV from a Honda showroom; my sole reason was that my old car was old and high mileage and buying a newish car gives you the sense of security that there will be no fault. I have just hit a year and I have only done 4000 4500 miles on car due to covid reasons I started feeling here gear shift and occasional gear change that felt like two metal plates grinding. so, I took the car into to Honda as I paid for service and its under warranty. they asked me to leave the car for assessing for a day. I got a call back in afternoon car is ok to drive but there might something up, so we need to book it in for 2 days to look in gearbox and clutch. so, I handed m…

Engine management light has appeared with a severe loss of acceleration/power, even when pedal is on the floor, it is still struggling to get above 20mph or into any significant revs. Any one encountered a similar issue and what was the issue with it?

  9. Hi, I am new to this forum. I am looking to purchase a CRV mk2.5 (2006 - 66k miles) or mk3 (2008 - 33k miles) - both 2.0 petrol and I am not sure which to go for. The 2006 is costing about 2,000 Sterling and the lower mileage 2008 is about 4,000 sterling. The 2006 has an up to date MOT but the MOT on the 2008 is about to expire. I am looking for a low mileage version as I plan to convert to LPG and the investment (about 1,000 sterling) only makes sense if I keep the car for 3+ years. Which one do you think I should go for? Many thanks

Hi Folks, The touchscreen/radio on my 2007 CR-V is completely unresponsive, as soon as the ignition is switched on this screen is displayed, i can't even turn the unit on or off, no button or combination of buttons work, it is just stuck on the warning screen, I also have an audio beep coming from the speakers every few minutes whilst driving, which is quite annoying. I have tried disconnecting the battery and the usual suggestion of holding the power button but nothing seems to work. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I find the stock headlight (halogen) on my 2029 Civic quite dim, and I'm looking at replacing the bulbs with LED type. Does anyone have any experience/ recommendations etc. as to which make or type? - or any to avoid? I imagine nowadays the new bulbs are plug 'n play? Any before/after pictures - and if its worth it?!

Hello All, New to the forum but not to the 3rd gen CR-V - I owned an EX petrol auto until it was written off in 2019. I replaced it with a 2WD Volvo XC60, with the 2.0 version of the D5 diesel engine - the reason I went this route is because we were doing about 18k miles per year; it made sense to go with the Volvo as we were forced to replace the car anyway, and it ticked the fuel economy box better than a diesel CR-V. I also fancied trying something different, and I had heard good things about Volvo. 2+ years on....driving pattern has changed (now under 7k miles per year and likely to stay that way), and the Volvo has never been as good as the C…

Hi all, just went into my local dealer in Plymouth, my clock has gone weird, tried everything on YouTube, nothing works. So went to get them to do it, they gave up, said something wrong with my system. 3 hrs later, come home and find an article in the sun about all Honda owners having this trouble. First, why have they not notified dealers about this, second is there any clue as to fixing it.? Any suggestion's anyone?

Hi Guys, If you have an Idling problem I have found a simple remedy which worked for me without having to use any tools 1. Make sure all car electrics are off 2. Turn the Ignition on and wait for 2 seconds 3. Turn Engine on and keep the RPM Revs at 3000 until the temperature reaches Max & the Cooling Fans come on 4. Once the Cooling Fans come on, lift off the accelerator pedal completely 5. Wait 5 Mins This should fix the fluctuation and Idling Problem, The engine needs to be turned on & off a few times for the Computer to finish learning. If the Idling is still too high turn the engine on & off a few times and wait a couple …

  19. Hi, I have a 57 plate petrol CRV which is throwing up an error code related to the catalytic converter. My usual mechanic who I trust tells me the cat is knackered and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately he can only source a replacement from Honda at a cost of over £1k, so I'm looking for alternatives. Trouble is, I can find 3rd party replacement cats for every flavour of CRV under the sun, but not mine. The Honda parts catalogue tells me my cat is part number 18160-RZP-G01, but there is also a presumably earlier G00 and a presumably later G50. Can anyone advise me if these are all interchangeable part numbers? Will a cat fr…
