Hi, I've recently had my DPF externally cleaned and the temperature sensor replaced by a garage. Subsequently, trip A, trip B and the odometer are now not displaying. Everything else is OK. I've tried: Resetting the trip meters. Defaulted back to the original settings. Checked the 10a fuse in location no 29. (Haven't replaced it as looks OK). Disconnected the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes or so, replaced it and still not resolved. (not sure if it's worth leaving longer). If anyone has any suggestions or have had similar and managed to resolve, any views are more than welcome. Thanks

I have a 2012 civic. It doesn't have auto folding mirrors on lock. There isn't anything in the settings to enable it. Is it possible to enable it with an OBD scanner or is there any other way to do it other than pressing the button before turning the engine off?

Hello. Does anyone recommend a scan tool which reads ABS codes? The ABS, Tyre pressure, Steering, and traction control lights all come on one after the other during a journey. Switching off the engine and restarting removed them, but they would return; they are now on permanently. A friend tried to find a code using his scan tools to no avail, as he suspects they do not recognise the car. He says I need a scan tool that will identify the codes. The lights went off a couple of days ago, but came back on after driving it about a quarter of a mile. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi all, new to the forum. So my 2014 Tourer is up for MOT in April and I've been advised it needs both rear dampers (adaptive, electrically adjustable) replacing as they're leaking slightly. This hasn't been noted as an advisory on an MOT since 2018 (both sides, light misting of oil), but knowing my luck, it'll fail this time round. So my local mechanic who I've known for years and trust hasn't been able to source any apart from genuine items @ £100+ a piece. I've only been able to find them through Cox motor parts online at roughly the same price. So if anyone knows a reputable source for these parts any cheaper, that would be much appreciated. …

Hi, I have a 2014 Civic Tourer SRi Diesel, which I love incidentally. In 2015 Honda decided to change the SatNav/radio/rear view camera monitor unit, which I believe was made by a company called Atlas, changing to a Garmin model. I can no longer get map & software updates for the SatNav and recently I haven't been able to get dynamic traffic info updates rendering the unit next to useless. Honda can't do anything for me! I imagine this is the same for all similar owners in my situation but has anyone had a replacement fitted in-dash that can utilise the functions of the car when it was new, ie: radio, SatNav, rear view camera? Thanks in anticipation. PS, for anyo…

Can anybody help with my problem. I was driving normally and the DPF warning sign cane on and the car has restricted power. The AA came out to have a look at the car and plugged in the diagnostic reader and there was no fault codes. Which he was surprised and not sure what to do next, apart to say to take it to the garage and for them to sort it out. I wasn't really that impressed with the guy. So is this going to be a costly fix and I have just spent £600 on a replacement egr cooling pipe !! Please help anyone 🙏 😢

My 2013 Honda Civic 1.4L vtec sometimes won't start after being driven. If I try to turn the engine on after an average drive(20 mins or so) there is a high chance the engine will turn and attempt to turn on but won't. The only workaround isn't really a workaround, it's ne having to sit in the car for around 30mins then the engine usually starts. I have done an OBD2 test and I'm only getting ABS codes and a PCM Malfunction. Someone please tell me how or if they relate to my problem.

2014 Civic 1.6 idtec - hatchback Hi everyone, ive had the passenger top strut mount changed a few days ago due to a knocking noise at very low speeds when turning/parking. The garage said the top mount was faulty when they had taken it off & the noise has gone from the passenger side & son has £200+. The problem now is im sure the same noise is coming from the drivers side (same noise). Im assuming it’s the same issue - top strut mount. Can the original problem with the passenger top mount mask the drivers side knock before it was changed?? Also would most people have changed both at the same time so its an even change of parts at the same t…

Morning! I've just inherited a 62 plate Honda Civic 1.8 petrol for my late father. I've been looking to buy a Haynes manual and to give it a service but I'm having a bit of trouble being certain which parts I need as 2012 seems to be a boundary year for this model. I was wondering if you guys could help me identify exactly which model I have and which manual/parts I need? My first issue is the Haynes manual. The Haynes site returns this https://haynes.com/en-gb/honda/civic/2006-2012 which, at a glance, would be the one I need but it also states: As a 62 plate which covers Sep 2012 - Feb 2013, does this mean it's no…

Hi all Hope someone can help. My Civic runs fine then all of a sudden multiple warning lights come on (all to do with steering, wheels, etc.). See photo attached. Sometimes they come on during a drive, and sometimes its when you start up. One time they went off again. When they come on during a drive there's no issue continuing to drive, i.e. nothing feels or acts differently. I've had a garage look at it twice but they can't nail it down, so was wondering if anyone knew of this issue and how it can be solved? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am at a total loss with what to do with my 2012 Civic 1.8, I love driving it but it is has a fault that I'm really struggling to chase. When driving intermittently the indicators will fail and not work, at this point the washer fluid pumps fail and potentially a load of other electrical issues that i have not identified yet. The biggest issue that i face is that then when trying to restart the car the immobiliser light starts flashing and the car does not turn over. Things that i have tried - Plugging it into a diagnostics computer where absolutely zero faults appear (this leads me to t…

Hello, I joined in August as we already have one 2013 Civic, but have recently bought a 2017 Civic diesel as I had written off my husbands Mondeo 😜😵 So we now have two Civics. However, I had a fiddle with the bits on the wheel, and changed to monitoring miles travelled on A. And it appears as though I may have turned off the stop/start function possibly by doing this, as a message flashed up something about it not being available, but I did not really see it well enough to read it properly (too quick). Sure enough, the stop/start no longer appears to be working, and I cannot find any information about getting it working again in the manual. …

Hi all, could any give me any guidance. Lost both dip beams last night, they are on separate fuses and the fuses look fine. LEDs so unlikely they would both blow at the same time. Any suggestions on what the problem is would be great?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and am considering buying a 2012/2013 1.4/1.6 Civic. We currently have 3 old Civics and have always been able to find original part numbers through Lings Honda online, however, on looking at Lings website, they don't appear to list parts for any Civics newer than 2010. Does anyone know of anywhere online which has detailed parts diagrams with the original Honda part numbers at all? We do a lot of repairs/servicing ourselves and it's useful to have the original part numbers to cross-reference when looking for new aftermarket parts / original parts from breakers etc. Hope what I'm asking makes sens…

Hi. I'll try to keep it brief. I have a 2012 honda civic cdti 2.2. Body not great. Dent in bumper and flaking paint. Large scratch on rear panel. No MOT but still runs great. 130000 miles. Spent £400 getting new pads and calipers recently. Several warning lights on the dashboard. I've been advised by my mechanic that 3 sensors need replacing and the lights should go. The problem is that they have quoted at least £500 to replace them. I've been offered £650 for the car as it is. Do I take that or try to get it through an MOT? baring in mind I'll have forked out about a grand to sort it and the bodywork isn't great. Any ideas roughly how much I could expect for it if it did…
