Hi, I have a Honda Civic type s 2007 and have a problem with the car that the mechanic says he can’t diagnose!!!! My car has started to get a thudding noise with a squeak (sounds like an old prank) but only when braking and only going forwards!!!!! The drivers front side has also dipped slightly in comparison to the passengers. No noise when driving only when braking and only once the car has warmed up any ideas?????

Hi Guys, just signed up, Just purchased my second CR-V. I am a senior citizen, 86 years of age, I started My love affair with automobiles while in My teens, Worked in a Speed Shop, learned everything about "building hi performance engines", built Flat head Fords and Chevrolet engines. Could not build one now with all of the new innovations. Might be able to add a super or turbo charger, LOL, happy that I was accepted , and hope that I can add my input. Lil G !

Hello, just picked up my first Honda, a lovely 2012 Accord 2.2 D on a EX spec, very impressive.

I have a Honda Jazz Crosstar 71 plate. I wanted a Dashcam to give some extra protection to my car in case of any incidents that arose while out driving. I was persuaded by the dealer to install the Honda Drive Recorder which I had done a couple of days ago. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do anything useful and the instructions supplied with it are really hard to make sense of. When it was installed the sales person got it going and took a still picture of the front view and one of the back view using the reversing camera. That is all I have. The journey home wasn't recorded and I've been out a couple of times since but nothing is recorded. Does anyone have…

Having contacted my local Honda parts company, I was surprised to be told Honda don't manufacture any roof bars for my car? I particularly want the bars that run in parallel each side ie front to back each side? Can anyone help identify the correct fitting parts? Cableman

Hello. I am new to this forum but not to forums. I joined HOC a few months ago after purchasing my CB750, a USA import requiring complete restoration. I have no problem wielding a spanner and stripping a bike to individual parts and building it back up. My problem is painting the decorative bits, tank and side panels, so i after a local company to take care of it for me. But i am struggling to find somebody. I live just outside York and would welcome any recommendations from my fellow members. The bike is up and running and now i am working on improvements. I am after the original paint colour and livery for the year. Any help would be apprecia…

Joined today, inherited Civic 1995 Lsi 1500 automatic no idea any more about it. Got it on the road as need an automatic at present. Massacred lh rear panel recently insurance say beyond economical repair. Grateful any ideas. Still driving but like to get repairs done.

Hi All. I'm not new to honda , or classic cars, but this looks about the best fit! We have just acquired a 89 Accord Aerodeck, which I'm sure plenty is shared with the prelude. Between my partner and I, we have 20 cars! There are a good trench of rovers in there, which a lot of them are a honda in drag. I've also had a 99 legend. A prelude or legend coupe are on the shopping list. Parts look to be fun and games for the 80s stuff. I got around the headlamps easy enough ( acclaim ones) but suspension looks a nightmare to get spares for. Any tips or good sources ? Regards Mark

I wonder if anyone may be able to help? The car is a 2006 1.7 petrol, my daughter said the engine started to make a knocking noise. No oil light came on. We did a check and the piston at the pulley wheel end had movement, suggesting a spun big end bearing. We stripped the bottom out and sure enough the shells had spun. There was no damage or scoring on the other three bearings. We replaced all shell bearings and cleaned up the crank journal and the big ends. We checked the journal diameter and it was within spec. Checked that the oil ways were clear with an extra long pipe cleaner and all was ok. Replaced the oil filter and oil. Rebuilt the bottom end and fired her up, …

Hi, I brought a Honda Civic Type S lovely to drive. However, does anybody know what products is best to improve visibility of rear spoiler window that is made of Lexan polycarbonate and has UV damage. I wonder if anyone knows if it’s possible to replace rear spoiler window with a glass alternative and if this can be done? I have been quoted 1k to replace and looking for a quick fix in the meantime time cheers. SJ

Hi All, My name is Alan I have become the proud owner of my late Uncles Honda Accord Executive A, 2.4 petrol 2004. I am trying to source a sunroof rubber seal for this car, as it has started to weather. My Uncle used to have it parked outside and before the seal starts to leak, I would like to replace it. I have had a quote from Honda for over £1000, to replace the glass and seal, all I need is the seal. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks Alan
