Hello everyone, new to this group I'd like to know if anyone could share some information about my accord coupe. I've never seen another on uk roads, and would like to know some background on these, and if I've got a gem or a mess 🤔 😅 unfortunately the paint work has suffered some Laquer damage, but the rest is solid and tidy.

Hi everyone, I am new to the Honda forum, but I am already an active member of both Volvo and Ford forums. My current 'garage' of cars includes the following: 2004 Volvo C70 2.0T convertible 2002 Mondeo 2.5 V6 Zetec S 2001 Mondeo 2.5 V6 Ghia X 2001 Honda Civic 1.6 I am thinking of adding a 2001/51 Honda Accord Type V. Never owned an Accord before and I wonder if anyone has any advice from a potential buyers perspective? The car I am viewing (tomorrow) is a 2001/51 2.3 Type V in black with circa 143,000 miles on the clock, looks in excellent condition from the photo's, has four previous owners, a good history and full MoT for £950.…

I have just bought a 2001 2.0i SE Accord (5 door) and am trying to find suitable roof bars. I have a set of Yakima Through Bar Whispbars from a previous car but they don't seem to do a fitting for this model Accord (they do one for older and newer models). Thule also don't seem to do one and neither do Halfords. Has anyone with one of these accords managed to fit roof bars and if so can they recommend? Thanks.

Hi, I have acquired a 2001 Accord (CH7, F20B6). It is a UK car (rhd) but registered here in Spain (where I live) It looks like I have a leaking steering rack, I suspect the last owner didn't use the correct steering fluid. It has a TRW rack and although I contacted TRW, they put me in contact with their Spanish branch who said they couldn't help because RHD!!! Same reason is it not easy to get parts from car scrappies, they only have the LHD version. Does Anyone know if there is a seal kit available for this? Is there a difference between LHD and RHD seal kits? if they are only round /ring seals it should not be a problem? I also may need the hig…

  14. Hi all, Without going to the polava of pulling the fuel pump out, is there any way to drain a fuel tank with an engine that doesn't run? It appears to have an anti-siphon on the filler neck, and I can't see a drain plug. Car has sat for 7yrs with a half tank of very old disgusting fuel in it, and the last job I need to do to get it running is to flush the fuel system. ESM states remove the fuel return line at the pump, run the engine until it siphons itself out, but that isn't possible because the engine isn't firing up due to the old fuel. Any ideas or am I just going to need to pull the pump out? 2001 VTEC sport -1.8 F18B2 engine

  17. Hello all. I have a 2000 Honda Accord 1.8i here in the UK. After driving about 20 minutes and when everything is warmed up the engine will begin to lose power and stutter. Weirdly the engine light will then come on and the car seems to regain power. I don't think my car has a obd2 port so I have read the codes by following a technique I found on Youtube (Link Below). Basically there's a male port under the passengers side that I short with a wire. Codes then read out on the dash with the engine light. I have linked a video below of my car whilst it's reading out the codes. From as far as I can tell the code it's reading just seems to be "1" on repeat. From what research I…

Hi, Alex here. I am a newbie and in need of some help. I moved out from the U.K to Bulgaria several years ago and recently had the catalytic converter cut off my 1999 Honda Accord coupe Mark 6, auto, right hand drive. I of course am looking to have it replaced as my MOT is now only a couple of months away. A couple of questions. Firstly can anyone confirm that the exhaust pipe dia is 2.5 inches please ? I would also like to hear from anyone who has also had to replace their cat either in the sedan or the coupe. I replaced the headlights approx, a year back to get the car switched over to Bulgarian rego ...... very complicated indeed, however its done now. …

I have, for some time, experienced very intermittent starting problems . The battery has been tested and is in excellent condition. The car will start perfectly , for weeks, sometimes months, then you can be 100 miles from home and it won’t start. Yet when the Road Assistance arrives, the car will start with jump leads. Trouble is… you can never foresee when this is going to happen, it just means the car is unreliable. Two suggestions with different origins. 1. Faulty distributor cap 2. (More likely) problems with main fuel relay. Can anyone throw any further geo my way? Please.

Hi all ! I own a 1999 Accord 1.8i VTEC SE, 4 Door, Manual Transmission. I have owned this car for almost fifteen years and has been a truly amazing car ! As widely known, these 6 Gen Accords have a terrible flaw in their design. This design fault is the corrosion which affects the car's Forward Bulkhead. My car naturally has this same issue. Last month, the accelerator pedal became seperated from the bulkhead due to the metal corroding away. My question to everyone here is does anyone know anybody who has succesfully carried out rust repair & protection on a 6 Gen Accord Bulkhead ? Ca…

Hi all I’m after abit of advice from the Honda team, I’ve started doing a Honda conversion in my classic mini so far I’ve decided best bang for buck power/cost wise is the H18 engine out of a 51 plate shape accord is perfect (the D16 out of the same age civic is smaller and a better fit but less power and more expensive) The H18 gearbox is somewhat bulky and would struggle to fit it within a started front end mini. Is there any other gearboxes such as the D16 that fit with the H18 engine ?
