Honda Civic Hatchback 1.6 Diesel 2015 - 117,000 miles Over a year ago the EML came on and the car went into limp home. My garage said the code was showing a P0401. He put fuel cleaner additive in the tank, reset the code, and told me to drive the car at a steady 4000 revs on the dual carriageway. This sorted the problem out for a month or two before the light came back on. He did the same as before and again this sorted the problem out for another month or two. On the third occasion he said that it is probably a sticking EGR valve but at £900 cost he decided to have the car in and clean the EGR. I bought a new ENY1 in March 2024. I knew that the total miles at 100% was rubbish (about 250) but I didn't expect my surprise on the first cold day today I charged it overnight last night when the air temperature was -3 deg C. When I started the car this morning it said 100% charged. It also said 138 miles to empty I rang the Honda garage where I bought it from and they said I could expect a drop in cold weather as it didn't have a heat converter Can this be correct.? They did offer to have a look at to see if the computer needed a memory dump etc Thanks everyone Philip

Can anyone help my daughter. She has a 2002 Honda Stream 2.0 SE Sport. She needs parts for her exhaust. Has anyone got a diagram of the exhaust system so we can work out which bit to get. Seems to be broken behind silencer in front of rear axle. Thanks

Hi All, Had an expensive week , on Monday booked in for MOT It passed no problem £ 50.00, on Wednesday noticed the ABS & VAS Lights on the dash were on all the time took it to the Garage they did a check and found out the Rear Wheel Sensor needed replacing ,this was done for £ 94.00, then the ABS Lights came on again and a shuddering when braking, this was found to be caused by a worn Rear Wheel Bearing, so back to the Garage again had this replaced and fixed £ 160.00 , so a weeks bill of £ 304.00 + vat . a lot of dosh but at least it done, the steering is 100% better and no Christmas lights on the Dash, apparently all of these faults according to the Dealer are…

Please watch out for a factory defect of the 1.6 I-DTEC 120 HP and 160 HP cylinder head. The manufacturer, despite the knowledge of this defect in 2018, has not done anything since then to call the car for service and check if this defect applies to your car. Only when the user on the website says that the engine is too loud, they will take care of it. Of course, if the car is still under warranty. Hi all, I have a 2011 crv ex ivtec and for some unknown reason the factory hid headlights have started aiming high. I've owned the car for 2 years and never had the problem before. There is no manual adjustment inside the car nor is there under the bonnet. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this and how I'd go about fixing it please? Many thanks Jay.

Hi Guys & Gals Just bought a Front and Rear View Dash Cam for the CRV and thought I would have a go at fitting it this week, It is not an easy job as some might suggest with havin to tuck the wiring neatly away out of sight in the bodywork panels and making sure all is as covert as possible, I have plugged the power lead into the Cigarette Lighter socket for the time being until I can sort out which fuse I will and can connect it to on a permanent basis, It works fine but one thing to watch out for when feeding the power cable through is that you don't get it caught on any sharp objects, as I did with the result I cut through the cable and it cost me some extra t…

I am going to register my FR-V (currently UK reg, 2006 car) in France. Therefore I need to change the dipped beam, which in most cars means changing the whole headlamp. I am really struggling to find any LHD headlight unitss, at a price which is anything like sensible, so I just wanted to check if anyone had had any experience of adapting the existing RHD headlamps ? There's no hidden adaptor (BMW style), or work-around??? Changing them to Xenon seems to be illegal and doesn't create a decent, sharp light pattern which the French Controle Technique looks for. Honda claim that only genuine honda 0W-40 should be used on the CVT transmission, stating that non-geuine oils can adversely effect the operation of the transmission. Is this true & if so where can the genuine fluid be purchase ata sensible (i.e non-Honda) price? Thank you

Hi I hope this topic hasn't been posted recently as I couldn't see a search for recent topic. I'm looking for a good manual for repairs preferably a cd manual with good screen shots and step by step guides for jobs to de done on my Honda for when the time comes. The Honda model I have is a diesel 2014 I DTEC Honda Civic 1.6L. I've just bought it from an approved dealer but may want to do some jobs whatever I feel brave enough to do later. All information on the best repair guides appreciated. I couldn't see anything on the Honda website unfortunately. Thanks.

There was a wealth of technical information posted on there especially for some of the more rare models and I haven't found any other site that has quite the same level of engagement, community or information. Any ideas if it is likely to make a comeback or any other sites with similar levels of technical information on the less common models? Thanks!

wondered if any one has a problem with handbrake . i have 04plate have had new calipers, cable and shoes but does not hold very well on hills ajusted several times at the garage. when parked on a slope it sort of walks on stops when brick placed behind . any idea what problem os.

Further to my first post earlier today, I've been looking at the above, and wondered if any members have used it, and if they thought it was a worthwhile purchase. I'm specifically interested in replacing the rear left wheel or hub bearing, and tracing and curing a power steering fluid leak. I've seen some info on U-tube. which is helpful, but I prefere a hard copy that I can have with me whilst working on the car. Tia, John

Hi i have a 2013 Honda Crv , cant seem to find an update disc for the Hdd satnav i can get one from honda but dont really want to pay £300.00 for and 2018 disc. are they available any where other than honda. seem to be able to buy dvd versions but not hdd. cheers jay

My 2005 CRV has a near side (is that left or right??} leaking headlight washer, knowing what I'm like with anything DIY is it an easy job to do and any suggestion where to get one from please, like it to be a Honda part not some Chinese bit!!! Alan
