CR-V 2007 to 2011

2007 (gen 3) Honda CR-V EX 2.2 i-ctd-i 6 speed manual. The dash clock in the navigation/entertainment centre will not retain time after it is set and then the ignition is turned off, BUT it will keep the time if the ignition is not turned totally off even with the engine not running. If the ignition is kept on Aux, the run position or the engine is running it is fine. Is there a fuse or relay that controls this? I have disconnected the battery, waited 30 minutes then reconnected it, reset the radio code , the ECU then reinitialised the security system but it had no effect. 8 attempts so far and always the same result.....HELP please.

Hi, I am hoping for any advice on the Sat Nav fault I have. I recently bought a 2014 CRV for my wife. It came with a Sat Nav built in and initially worked perfectly. However for the past few weeks it does not work at all. On starting the car there is a notice on the screen advising that there is a problem with the GPS and provides certain steps to take. I have tried all these steps ( area with good signal, remove phones, etc) bar taking the car to the dealership. Not having the Sat Nav isn't the biggest problem, this notice on the screen does not go away and is therefore blocking all the other features - Bluetooth, set the clock, radio stations etc. It is extremely disapp…

The clock now only works when the ignition is on. When off the clock stops. On restarting the clock shows the time when It turned off Any ideas?

Hi I've had my 2012 crv for 6 months and am very pleased with it ,the only thing that is annoying is that when I use the screen wash and the engine is hot I get a smell in side the car where it drips on the engine is there anything I can do to stop this ?

I've had my 2007 CR-V nearly a month now, and twice in that time I've gone to open the boot, but it doesn't open. The car is unlocked and all doors open, but not the boot. The first time it happened I put things in the back seat instead, then tried the boot again (I think) the next day and it opened. However, yesterday I went to put things in but it wouldn't open no matter how many times I locked/unlocked the car. Is this a known issue? It's going to be my wife's main vehicle once her car has sold, so I'm trying to get anything sorted before she uses it.

Hello I am hoping that someone may be able to help diagnose an issue with our crv 09. We have just had the clutch, fly wheel and bushes replaced. Since the work has been done the engine noise in the cab is a lot more noticeable. It's definitely got louder. Its not a fault noise just normal engine noise. It's almost as if some sound proofing is missing. The car is quite new to us and we aren't mechanically minded. Any ideas?

New member 1st time post! My 2018 1.6 diesel auto CRV (bought from new) had been sitting on the drive not doing anything for 2.5 weeks and then I ventured out to to the shops but knew it would need a little run out but, 5 mins in to the motorway journey to the supermarket, it went into limp mode for the 1st time and then I also got the warning sign that the start/stop won't work as the battery is too low! I limped home and left it a day. then took it out to try again and basically run all the kinks out. received letter from Honda saying my 2007 CRV 2.2 ICTDI to have airbags replaced they state they have written to me previously but i have never had any letter and only had the vehicle 8 months so booked appointment the AA are coming out to the work but not until 10th of Jan 2022 they must be busy, not sure which airbags or how long that will take. anyone had the same issue?

Hi All. After breaking down in my 2007 crv 2.2 diesel I had a new intercooler fitted and my turbo was sent off to be rebuilt. All seemed fine until last Sunday. I was driving on the flat at approx 60mph having done approx 30 miles. No warning lights, no noises, no smoke but from nowhere I had no throttle response and the revs started dropping until it cut out. I switched everything off, started engine again and off I went until the same happened again about a mile further. RAC detected nothing including on their diagnostic device. Hi All, I have a 2009 Honda CRV SE plus 2.2 diesel. This summer it went in to Honda to have a couple of valve seals replaced. Afterwards, there was a juddering under acceleration that got progressively worse in the higher gears between 1500 - 2200 rpm. It is more pronounced accelerating up hills or towing. There are no fault codes. Honda diagnosed a high pressure fuel pump issue. Another garage suggested the front drive shafts which I have had replaced and the rear diff fluid changed, which has made little difference. Fuel economy has improved but is still nowhere where it was and there is increased tyre wear on the front near-side tyre. Ano…

Good evening folks. This is ignorant of me, I know, but while flicking through the manual last night I discovered that I should be able to get traffic alerts, weather reports and traffic info displayed on the map. So I have spent all day today turning all the alerts on and I went for numerous drives but I get the same message; "No Information Received". Is it something silly that i'm doing wrong? I am desperate to replace the OEM head unit in my 2018 CR-V and am struggling to find suitable models that would allow me to retain: 1 - Rear Parking Camera. 2 - Sat Nav 3 - DAB 4 - Steering wheel controls. 5 - Bluetooth Telephone. Ideally, I'd also like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which I don't have at the moment. Has anyone done this successfully and can recommend a suitable unit please? I have put a spring assister on both sides of my rear suspension to help stop the bouncing when towing our caravan. It has helped a little but what I want to know is can I add another set to stiffen it more and hopefully cure the problem even though it will be quite stiff when not towing. Thanks for your help. Hi. Can anyone help. My 2013 CR-V 2.2D has suddenly developed a problem. The passenger power window and the same side wing mirror have both stopped working at the same time. The master control switch and the passenger switch for these items don’t work but the switches for all other windows and drivers wing mirror work as normal. Checked fuse’s, but can’t find one for wing mirror, all ok. Checked for damaged wires at door hinged position, all ok. I am thinking it’s probably pointing towards the passenger window side switch or the Master switch assy on driver’s door. But what I can’t understand why the window and side mirror have both stopped when they are on…

Hello there, my 2007 crv had a dramatic decrease in power whilst driving home. since recovering it to my mechanic the engine will start and the cut out after 1-2 seconds. we have replaced filter, and replaced the fuel pressure regulator and still no good. anyone here have any idea what the problem may be? thanks I’m advanced Ryan.

I’ve built a double bed base for a 2008 Honda CRV. I only used it twice (I run D of E courses) before the car was sadly written off (without the bed in it). It’s really good quality, comes in two pieces and along with a tailgate tent, makes for a brilliant simple camper conversion. It cost me about £200 to build. I don’t really want anything for it, but I’d like it to go to someone that will use it and benefit from it. I’ve got photos, so please email me for pics if you are interested.
