Can anyone assist with the location of the speed sensor PWR -013 on a FRV 2.2 diesel? Pretty sure this is the culprit for Speedo now not working

Hello, haven't owned by frv long, it's a 2.2 diesel. Garage said injectors were leaking so changed all 4, still the car will not start. If we spray easy start into it it starts right away and drives absolutely fine. Any ideas I would be very grateful

Hello Just wanted to share my experience. 2006 Honda FR-V, 2.0L petrol. Started to get this code coming up. At first I ignored it for a while hoping it was a one-off (there was also another possibly unrelated fault as well that was also causing the yellow light to come on). I decided to investigate it so I had the mechanic reset it and within 15mins it had already come back on again, before I had even gone home. Seeing that the part from Honda costs around £150 I ordered this one from eBay and asked my mechanic to fit it. Two days later the light came back on again. I am not sure that the above is as genuine as it seemed…

Hello Looking for ideas here. I had a catalytic converter and lamda sensors stolen. I bought replacements online (onlineautomotive.co.uk) and a few months later it started tripping the engine management light - P0420: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). I'm now wondering about trying to get the catalytic converter replaced under warranty and wondering what is the best way to go about it? They understandably want to pick it up, but I need to use the car in the mean time if there is a delay until they send out a replacement or refund. Also wondering if there's a possibility they'll take it and then try to…

Hello to all, My Civic mk9 2.2 idtec condenser is leaking and my local Honda garage was going to charge me £700 to replace which i think is asking too much. Just thinking how easy to replace it myself, just needs re gassing afterwards, i have basic mechanical skills but never had to do this sort of work. any reply's will be very grateful.

Hi all, can back to my 06 frv yesterday in a car park and found the drivers side mirror had been fully pushed back. Normally when this happens can usually just push it back and after a few attempts the power folding sorts itself out and gets in sync. However this time the whole mirror is just flimsy and can be folded in by hand and easily. When turning the car on can hear the motor in the mirror whirring away constantly and doesn’t stop and power folding does not engage. is this fixable or should I look for a replacement mirror? Does anyone know how to take the mirror unit apart and what I should be looking for?

Hi Everyone, I am a new member of the forum and I am struggling to find out the real reason of an electrical issue with my FR-V. Long story short, the remote central locking block got broken about a year ago, I was told it was worth to use the key only to lock-unlock the car as fixing the block would cost an arm and a leg. There was a deadlock in the doors a few month ago that has been fixed by replacing the 10A door lock fuse (fuse number 22 in the passanger room) with a 15A one. The doorlocks sometimes turn on or off randomly without using the car key. That happens when I unlock the door but sometimes when driving. Since yesterday, if I unlock the d…

  15. Hello all, Just got back from a failed MOT and I need to sort the Drivers side Mirror indicator. It was cracked and was an advisory for years but now it has packed in. Am I right in thinking its not a bulb but a sealed unit like my mk8 civic was? Local motor factors cant help but Honda want £100 for an indicator 😞 Cant seem to find any replacements anywhere. Any advice appreciated. I fear it may be a complete unit off eBay if I cant just get the "flashing" bit 🙂 Thanks.

Hi Folks, hopfully this topic hasn't been covered, My 06' FRV Rear Hatch Struts (this part 04741-SJD-000) are fairly squeeky and have lost a bit of their lifting power. My question is has anyone replaced their rear hatch struts? And specifically can you just replace the strut or do I need to replace the fixing brackets too? Thanks in advance 👍🏻

  17. Hi, I'm new to the forum but not new to Hondas. We have had 3 Hondas over the past 20 years or so, a Civic Type-R and two Jazz's but we are looking for a cheap car with 6+ seats for family staycations and driving trips in Europe. I'm looking at the FRV 1.8 manual and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what to look out for. My main concern is it breaking down while I'm on holiday or having to spend lots of money fixing it after I've driven it away. Most of the FRVs I've seen so far are well in excess of 100,000miles and 98% of them are still using their original clutch - is this a problem? How long does the original clutch tend to …

Just realised, glow plug light has started flashing, Honda FRV2.2 CDI Sport, any one able to point me in the right direction please, M.

  19. Right so I bought this car three months ago its sat on and off. Changed the Oil, A+O + C Filter, Window Switch, Regulator. Then I had noise on power steering and froth. Changed gaskets and flushed with Honda fluids. Noises still on Aux acceleration. Changed Aux Idler pulley, and tensioner as noisey. (Well mechanic did) But I still have noise on the belt side on intial pull. Noticed movement in pulley itself. No clue what pulley it is or what to put into replace? Video below. Thought I'd try here as Facebook groups are dead when it comes to FR-V's. https://youtu.be/Os8L0rOVxrU Some slight audible clacking too every…

I have a 2006 FR-V 1.7 Petrol V-Tec (D17A2 engine) . I had to replace the crankshaft all back together but the green immobiliser light comes on. The engine cranks, but will not fire - no spark. The fuel pump primes - but the plugs are dry so no fuel getting to the cylinders. I replaced the battery in the key fob I checked the Immobiliser fuse under the dash and that is OK. Is there anything I have missed? Is there a wiring diagram for the immobiliser circuit anywhere? Thanks in advance for any help

My good lady parked our FRV, went shopping came back and it just wont start. so far I have tried The inertia cut out switch - seems ok Changed the fuel rail pressure regulator valve Changed the fuel rail pressure sensor valve So the symptoms are that when monitoring live data the Fuel Rail Pressure only goes up to 65 to 90 PSI with the old pressure sensor valve but the new valve shows nothing Oddly the old pressure sensor shows 30PSI even when connected in to an empty fuel rail Today I changed the high pressure fuel pump but still no change I am obviously missing something that's staring me in the face. Does any one have any good…

Hi Folks, Im looking for advice on a good clutch kit for my '06 1.7 ltr Petrol FRV. I've looked and LUK and Edix has been mentioned to me, but I'm thinking of upgrading the clutch to maybe somthing like this: https://www.akr-performance.com/p/act-clutch-kit-heavy-duty-20t212mm-performance-street-sprung-disc-hc5-hdss. Has anyone upgraded their FRV clutch and or would anyone have any advice or suggestions on the brand/type to go for? Thanks, Anthony
