Hello I have a 2006 FR-V, 2.0l petrol. I have had to disconnect the battery to prevent it from being drained during the weeks that we are not using the car whilst waiting for an insurance claim and subsequent repair job to source replacement parts, etc. Is there anything I will likely need to do after reconnecting it, besides from resetting the time on the clock? I'm thinking in terms of security systems, radio codes, remote control pairing for the alarm/immobiliser etc? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer on this

Hi folks I'm new to Honda but just got an FRV which I'm now loving, but I've got the 2 original keys which unlock and start the car manually, but neither of which unlock the car remotely ( which Is annoying for me cause I've got 4 kids so always got my hands full ) I just replaced both key batteries and one of the keys emits the little led light when pressed and one doesn't l, so I've been using the one with the working led for the investigation purposes. Hi. How easy is it to replace the exhaust on an Frv. Most of it is stainless steel but the part the mechanic welded is not. I think it is just the one downpipe that needs replaced and am wondering how hard it is to do and where would I get the relevant part. Apparently the mechanic said there are only OEM parts available and it will cost about £400. Sorry I'm a bit vague but that's all I have at the moment

Will anybody know how to reset clock, I can follow sat nav manual for supposed procedure, but does not change time in radio. Any ideas will be much appreciated,, regards, Maurice,

Recently got a fault code reader and I suspect it suggests there's an air leak in one of the intake/charge pressure pipes. It's a generic reader so provides generic code. Was wondering if this site has any resources/Wikis for things like Fault Codes, Fuse boxes, wiring diagrams etc? FYI Fault codes I have (if anybody can decipher): P2017 P1042 P1401 U0122

My good lady parked our FRV, went shopping came back and it just wont start. so far I have tried The inertia cut out switch - seems ok Changed the fuel rail pressure regulator valve Changed the fuel rail pressure sensor valve So the symptoms are that when monitoring live data the Fuel Rail Pressure only goes up to 65 to 90 PSI with the old pressure sensor valve but the new valve shows nothing Oddly the old pressure sensor shows 30PSI even when connected in to an empty fuel rail Today I changed the high pressure fuel pump but still no change I am obviously missing something that's staring me in the face. HI, I have a 2006 2.2cdti sport FR-V. I love it and so does our 10 year old in the middle seat:-) I recently had to do a couple of thousand miles in a matter of three weeks - the car has already done 166,000 miles, but has never missed a beat. The car drives great, but I have noticed it is taking longer to crank. it would previously start in a second , but now it i taking between 2-5 ? One started , it drives fine, no loss of power,etc, and doing a reasonable 41-44 mpg on a run. Hi Everyone, I am a new member of the forum and I am struggling to find out the real reason of an electrical issue with my FR-V. Long story short, the remote central locking block got broken about a year ago, I was told it was worth to use the key only to lock-unlock the car as fixing the block would cost an arm and a leg. There was a deadlock in the doors a few month ago that has been fixed by replacing the 10A door lock fuse (fuse number 22 in the passanger room) with a 15A one. Hello Is there any guideline as to how much oil the engine is expected to use. Every time I check it (which isn't that often) the oil seems to be low. And whilst we're talking about oil - what is the best oil to buy? When I put the registration in to various car parts stores they usually seem to recommend an oil that is designed for Ford engines. Is it important to stick to the exact recommended API category (the handbook says) SJ or SL, or is it ok to use SN instead? Besides the API specification, is there anything else that matters? The manual specifies 5W30 viscosity.

Hi I’ve a Honda FR-V 2.2 d , i have trouble some times with changing gear I have to pump the clutch pedal a few times and then all good,?? and my hand break light comes on and beeps have to pull out slightly and slide back in some times linked with above problem or if go over a bump like it’s lose ?? Hi ,I have a 2005 honda frv 2.2ictdi. I have had her since new with no real problems. Recently she has developed a high pitch squealing sound that appears to be coming from the rear of the car . It only seems to be present when turning right ,and only when going above 15 mph. It is both embarassing and concerning . She has had a new link arm at the rear that did not solve it. She has had new breaks fitted that has not solved it. 3 mechanics have charged me to "look " at her but not given any helpful answers other then could be break dust or grit Does any one have any idea what the cause could be as I am getting annoyed paying mechanics but not getting noise st…

Right so lads another random question/topic on the Honda FRV. Has anyone ever installed bull bars (push bars) to the front bumper of their FRV? Also will a bull bar from say an '06 CRV fit the FRV? I'm told both are based on the same frame so thinking they might fit?..

Hi. My 2007 1.8 petrol needs a new lock actuator. There are a few on eBay, but not for the exact same model of FRV. I’m assuming Honda wouldn’t have changed the actuators between years and engine types, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks

Hi all frv 08 2.2 cdti has been struggling to start the past couple of weeks today it gave engine warning light, plugged in OBD2 and it gave error code P1041 ive gave it a quick google but cant seem to find something definitive can anyone enlighten me as to what the exact problem is?

Hi Folks, Im looking for advice on a good clutch kit for my '06 1.7 ltr Petrol FRV. Hi, I've recently noticed that when the needle is sat between 60 and 70 mph, the needle bounces. I think the speed sensor could possibly be faulty. Can someone please tell me where the sensor is located? And is it a straightforward replacement? Thanks Simon

Hi, The retaining nut at the top of one of the support piston has come undone and dropped inside the body/window trim! How can I get to the innards to retrieve and refit the nut? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Guys, So at the end of the road really and getting to the point of scrapping the car. It's a 2008 2.2 Diesel FRV 110k. I've had this hot start issue for a couple of years and last time the mobile mechanic that came out couldn't really give me a definitive answer. The battery used to go flat as well, put it down to short journeys. Anyway few years on I decided I had enough and started putting money in getting it looked at. The problem simply is the car starts fine early in the morning but after a good run and it's warmed it hesitates to start, needs bit of a prolonged start and gives a judder.
