Hi, Can anyone please explain to me why the Honda dealer that will be replacing my recalled takata airbag has asked for the locking wheel nut to be left for them. Thanks

I have just bought a 2007 Jazz with full service history and only 20,000 miles on the clock. However I now find that there is loads of water collecting in the passengers footwell whenever it rains. It appears to be coming in from the bulkhead somewhere although because of the mats etc I can't see where. . The engine compartment is totally clean (ie no leaves or dirt and stuff) Has anybody got any ideas please? So far I have vacuumed out about 8 litres of water. It isn't from the air conditioning unit because it hasn't been used yet. It isn't from the door seal either.

Hi. Is there a correct procedure for getting good hand brake efficiency on a Jazz with calipers? Weve tried several different methods including releasing everything and then using the handbrake levers to 'pump' out the pistons but the efficiency is still terrible.

Hi, My reversing light is draining my battery, but I don't understand how, and I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. My car has been consistently draining its battery when it's parked up. I initially thought it was just because I'm not driving it much (COVID) and just replaced the battery thinking it would go away, but it has not. The car draws 0.07A without the keys in, which with the size of my battery means it's dead flat in about 24 days... not great. Our 2008 Jazz, keeps activating it's alarm system at night approx. 11.30pm - 12.00am. It has suddenly started to do this which is causing friction with neighbours , how can this be deactivated apart from disconnecting the battery?

Hello everyone,my mum has a little jazz 1,4 auto 2005/6. First, when replacing the brake pads do the caliper piston push in or do they need to be screwed back in. Second, clunky noise when turning left,more when turning rather than sweeping left on a curve, garage doesn't know what the problem is,but have my doubts about said garage. I have replaced my abs unit with a guaranteed used, all , bled and put back and tested as good. car does all it should but now the abs dash light is flashing instead of being fully on.... any ideas? cheers Sam 2002 Jazz 1.4 petrol

Hi everyone, new to the club and need advice. It's the HJazz 2008 1500 engine 6 gear semi auto I've just had a sudden loss of power of power, it appeared out of the blue, I could only describe the noise as a lower bass drone...the only thing I've noticed over the past few weeks is a lower fuel consumption, normally 43mpg down to 36,which I tried to kid myself was the cold weather and only doing short runs to the shops, but I've had two HJ's over 20years and never had a fuel loss like that, any idea's please...TIA

Hello members, I have a Honda Jazz 1.6 petrol with a CVT transmission. I have a slight judder when initially taking up the drive from rest. I'm leaning towards the multi-plate clutches or start clutch but I need to test it first. Does anyone know where I can source the transmission technical data from to compare oil pressure data please.

Hi, how are you? Hope someone can help me with this problem. I've 2007 HONDA JAZZ SE I-DS 1339cc manual. Problem started this morning. Car starts as usual, end of my road seems like running out of petrol, but there's heaps. Engine dies. Wait a moment starts try to move off dies. Repeat about half a dozen times, same. Pushed back to my house. Same thing, wait a while engine starts easily, runs 10-20 seconds dies. Under the bonnet I could hear a high pitch wine, followed by a click as if a valve is opened/closed. I'm new to the forum so hello one and all. I have bought a 2006 honda jazz sport for my son. Lovely car, engine sounds mint, only 68000 miles. The accelerator cable has a little play before the engine revs up. The cable must be a little loose. I can adjust it myself but just need to know where it is and what tools i need. Any pictures will help. I think i have found where it is. The is right hand drive. So looking at engine, i think its behind the battery under a black box. How do you remove the box? And what size spanner will i need to adjust the cable nuts? Thanks

Hi I bought my 2006 Jazz on the 5th Jan, the windows keep getting steamed up. the garage I bought the car from claimed it was just damp due to cleaning of the inside of the car before I bought it?? Yesterday I noticed water round the spare wheel. The Question is how is the water getting in and how to stop it any ideas?

Found out in December that I have corrosion on nsr floor could this be water coming in through boot as seem to get water in spare wheel well. Saw a post on here that someone drilled out two holes to drain water. Does this actually work. And are there any dangers under the wheel well to be aware of before drilling holes in it?

I am glad I found this Honda club so thanks for letting me Join I have had my Honda Jazz for a couple of years and happy with it. I had a big problem at first with constant water getting in to the boot and passengers floor well but after putting silicon sealer in every possible join, the problem is now solved. However, the manual gear change has been a problem. Changing gear is difficult to get in any gear. was very difficult in the really hot weather. So thinking it could be the clutch I started looking for a reliable garage to get it changed, but today, on my way out I noticed the gear change was easy peasy no drag at all, I haven't…

Tonight I noticed that the lights on my volume controll knob and surrounding buttons dont illuminate like they should. Is this common, does anyone have any advice on what to do or how to fix this issue? Many thanks Nick - new member

Hi. Problem with 2005 Honda Jazz. Drivers door lock won't lock or unlock from the fob. All other door locks work fine. All will lock and unlock using key action but drivers door only won't work from the fob. Bought a new complete door lock assy, same problem on drivers side. Plugged the new lock into passengers side and all works fine on that side. Obviously some kind of wiring issue, no signal being sent to the lock on drivers side but can't work out how to test it. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi guys. I bought for my girlfriend Honda Jazz for first car, but i think there is a problem with the automatic gearbox. During driving on D sometimes it's switch off and after few seconds coming back to normal. Also when is on D mode it's blinking. I went to Honda for diagnostic and i have been advised to change c/v/t speed sensors. I bought one sensor to see if it's work but there is still the same problem. I will be happy if there is someone who know what could be the problem. Thanks

HI, We were doing lower control arms on a 2007 Honda Jazz (5 door) and in the process the drive shaft slipped out we were trying to slip it back in by having it in gear and 1 person rotating the wheel on the good side whilst 1 person is pushing inwards on the slipped out side and it slipped in but it wiggles around when rotating the shaft, and binds up occasionally even in neutral and wiggling it a bit back and forth it would get past the "bind" and the turn freely over that spot on for it to bind up some other place. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I own a Honda jazz from 2007 and it is still going strong. However, at present I have a problem. I am unable to lock/unlock the doors from the drivers or passengers door. I was wondering if anybody else has encountered this problem and has any suggestions?

Hi, our car has just recently developed a problem, the steering wheel switch stopped selecting manual when pressed, my wife uses it frequently to utilise some engine braking when going down hill. The switch normally cycles round three functions , then it only cycled two functions and now it does nothing. It must control a relay I assume but can find no information in the haynes manual. Any ideas please? Steve.
