  1. Hi, just joined the forum. Whilst I love the Jazz, now covered about 26000 miles, I have suffered from intermittent losses of engine power, right from first bought from new. They can last a few seconds or several minutes, but in all cases, the engine never cuts out and tickover is steady at about 800 rpm. This suggests that fuel or air starvation is the likely cause. Removing and refitting the fuel cap makes no difference. The worst occasion only cleared itself after turning off the engine for about 30 minutes. I have asked the Honda dealer to investigate at each service but no fault was recorded. Another problem which may be related is the la…

Hi new member in Devon, well we bought her in Feb, 10 reg, just done nearly 1400 faultless miles driving in France, really lovely cars, 70 equates to just over 2k revs (6spd man). Only fault as such is getting USB in glove box to link up with my Huawei phone, it worked on my daughter's iPhone perfectly. Aux socket in the centre console doesn't work at all either unfortunately. All the best. Neil

We only bought the car a few months ago and weren't thinking about buying a caravan at the time but after a week away in a VW T6 campervan we decided to look into a small caravan. We went to the Campervan and Caravan exhibition at the NEC this week and decided the Swift Basecamp Plus is exactly what we want. I searched for info on the Tourer pulling a caravan and found very little bar one not -so -positive review. Is there anyone here with a Tourer who has any experience towering a caravan? I don't want to change the car - we think it's a beatiful car for long journeys (we drove to the Netherlands and back recently) even though I'm not completely won over with 6 gears w…

Hi all, First time Honda owner here, recently bought an FK3 Civic 2.2ctdi. Just saying hi, as you do! 🙂 Although I am new to Honda myself, I am quite familiar with the brand (Family members have owned various CRV/Shuttle/Odysey models for the past 25 years, and I did once own the Rover/Honda 620si). I have previously owned various BMWs (still have an E39) so the civic is my new practical run about and the E39 is going to be my summer car. Just one quick question about the Civic - I have noticed that the temp guage doesn't appear to reach the middle of the guage - it sits slightly below, even after 1hr+ of driving (see pic) Is this normal or does it mea…

Hello All just introducing myself - I have recently become the proud owner of a 2016 CRV after years of company car BMWs - it’s a breath of fresh air! However owning my own car doesn’t half make you paranoid about parking, recently surfaced roads etc - so any advice on a bonnet protector and side bars in the UK and who could fit them - the car is white so they would have to be black - TIA

Hi all. I have had a 2008 Mk 8 Honda Accord 2.4 auto (200bhp) saloon with ADAS for 9 years. 100,000 miles. No problems and it is a fabulous, reliable and good looking car. Except last January 2022 my Satnav stopped working and the clock went several hours out. I went into the menu but no go. I took the disc out and several weeks later the Satnav started working but it didn’t show time for trip etc. But yesterday…surprise, the clock righted itself (an hour slow) but duration time of journey now shows! A long winded story. I presume it will correct itself in October when the clocks go back! Anybody else have a similar experience. Nick

  17. Hi there, just joined group. I own a Japanese import Honda Prelude 4th Gen 2.2 VTEC for past 7 years. Very cool car. Doen loads of work on it and now pretty good condition. Honda UK suggested that I joined club. Should have done it ages ago. Not being used to these forums I may need some instructions how to use. Nice to meet you all. I need help because my car is a Jap import so there is no emission data on it - As a consequence Transport for London cannot decide if it is ULEZ compliant or not. Honda UK say that if I get a chassis number and number plate of any 2.2 VTEC compliant car they can make a comparison judgement and send…

I'm a proud owner of a 2005 2.4 Honda accord. Really love this car, looking to do some performance modifications (not just bolt-ons) Have experience working with cars but mostly with fabrication, body repair, and paint. Not clueless about the mechanical side but I'm certainly no expert! Really looking forward to digging into this forum, getting useful info, and having some Honda buddies to chat to. Cheers guys!

Hi there Just popped in as I have a technical question. But before I post that (will need to find the right section). Had a look around and am impressed with the friendly helpful nature of members here. No surprise really as you are all Honda owners so know how to make correct decisions. 😄 Anyway I have a CR-V EX I-CTDI 2009 for about 6 or 7 years now. Love it. Other than having to fill it up every now and again not many problems. No I lie the aircon compressor went down - cost a bomb to fix. Otherwise just niggles here and there. Live in West Sussex - previously in North London up to a few weeks ago. May get another H…

I'm the proud owner of an FR-V 2.2 cdti SE. What a cracking car. I've recently figured out how to get the radio out to connect an aux box off Amazon. With a little modification I was able to get it out with out taking the entire middle of the dashboard out. I did end up with a few corking gashes on my hands though. Totally worth it.

Great to be on board after a 3 year gap in Honda ownership. Now the owner of a 2017 diesel HR-V whilst my former 2007 Civic diesel remains with my son. What a hand-me-down! I'll give up motoring when there are no diesels around - mind you i will be 91 then!

I need to replace the pads on a 2014 CR-V AWD. I understand that this car can use different braking systems. Is there any way to tell the type of pad other than dismantling? The sevo has a Bosch sticker on it. Any recommendation for non Honda pads? Regards Ray.
