Tomorrow I collect my first Honda,A 14 plate CR V. Even with a short test drive I was very impressed with the car and look forward to plenty of free running miles.

Hello other Honda people and particularly Jazz people. I have joined this site as my catalytic converter has been stolen and I found out from the internet that Honda Jazz and Toyota Prius are the most targeted cars. I am going to fix it it myself as the Honda quote was an eye watering £2500 which is about the value of my car. I have a well loved aerodeck. I've had it from new, but which has the ABS light permanently on. Can anyone recommend a honda mechanic in Cheshire/ Staffordhire/ Shropshire?

I wonder if anyone may be able to help? The car is a 2006 1.7 petrol, my daughter said the engine started to make a knocking noise. No oil light came on. We did a check and the piston at the pulley wheel end had movement, suggesting a spun big end bearing. We stripped the bottom out and sure enough the shells had spun. There was no damage or scoring on the other three bearings. We replaced all shell bearings and cleaned up the crank journal and the big ends. We checked the journal diameter and it was within spec. Checked that the oil ways were clear with an extra long pipe cleaner and all was ok. Replaced the oil filter and oil. Rebuilt the bottom end and fired her up, …

Hello ! I am new to this site. I have just inherited a 'P' reg Prelude 2.2 VTEC. It's a beautiful car and is a good runner with a recent MOT. However it needs a paint job (the lacquer has peeled) and the headlamps have been bodged so that needs sorting out. Only mechanical issue is that there is a loud squeal on starting that fades after 30 secs or so - I'm told it's the water pump bearing that settles down once the water gets round? Otherwise it's in good nick. I really don't know whether to sell it to an enthusiast as-is (if so where do I advertise it), do it up and sell it then, or just keep it. Hi Everybody Just bought a 2nd hand 15 reg C RV 2.2 diesel, and LOVING it! I have just one issue I can't seem to resolve (get my head around) and that's the satnav system and its many variations. I'm not convinced that I have the updated software and database installed, despite what the dealer tells me. I have attached a picture of the type I have, which I understand is an HDD type of Honda pedigree, not Garmin. Device ID is ENB28017078B, Current software version is 1.20.0300, Current Database is Europe version IT203.02.00 Can anyone advise me if these are the up-to-date versions of my system please.

Recently bought a 2013 gen 4 crv very happy but after driving 300 miles he has developed a very annoying creaking squeaking sound at very low speeds don’t know if it’s a drive shaft a bearing or what I jet washed the discs thinking it might be some grit stuck somewhere that worked for two days but now it’s back also got offered some very nice Mazda 19” alloys same offset et etc everything matches to the Honda accept the centre bore size which I know spigot rings would take care of but on the website selling them they say they won’t fit can anyone say why thanks guys

Last year a CL9 and EJ9 rehomed with loving families. We've just said goodbye to our FN2 type R to fund our ongoing EJ2 project. Hope to share some pictures soon. 😋

Just bought 2015 CR-V 1.6D Auto in great condition and absolutely loving it. It replaced a Jaguar XF because as we get older its harder to get in and out of plus no boot access. Its the first Honda Ive owned and it surprises me how good it is. I cant stop showing people how the rear seats fold up....really well thought out. Only downside so far is I dont like to blow the horn ha ha.

Got my first Honda, a 2004 CRV EX 2.0 VTEC a few weeks ago, as a daily runaround for winter while I sort out my Alfa Romeo 147. Heard some good things about them, did a fair bit of research and found mine - test drove and bought it immediately. I'm really chuffed with the build quality and how well thought-out it is. I've replaced the old non-working satnav unit with a double DIN Android unit, and given it a service (spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, engine oil, gearbox and rear diff fluids, coolant change to type 2) and also replaced the Vtec solenoid valve gasket/filter as it was gunked up and giving error code P2159 every time I floored it.
