Hey, I'm new to this forum and I mainly signed up for my friend he just purchased a 07 Accord SE V4. Before he purchased it we were researching if it had auxiliry input. I know it has the option for it but it wasn't installed. Since his birthday is in a few days I was thinking about purchasing one for him. I checked on ebay and tried checking around online but couldn't find anything on it. Is this something that I can only get from the dealership itself? Is it easy to install or takes some work? Any information would be helpful.

So I am pretty sure my alternator is going out, my battery light has come on and I have charged my current battery and spare battery fully and made the battery clamps tight, I read the battery’s with a multimeter on 20 D.C. and both battery’s at around 12.6 I also checked the positives on the alternator itself while grounding to the battery as well as the alternator housing and it is also getting around 12.6 so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the battery cables reaching the alt. When I turn the engine on the battery and alternator read around 14.5 but very quickly after 30 seconds running and a few revs it will drop down to as low as 12.4, if I turn electronics on it …

I bought my Accord in November with a boost issue...low power and black smoke so my husband replaced boost pipes and vac pipes, made no difference, so we have replaced... Turbo (second hand) Intercooler and pipes Egr (second hand but fully tested) MAP sensor MAF sensor Fuel Filter (Genuine Bosch one) Air Filter The black smoke has gone (yipee) but still no power and totally gutless and loses power when going up hill (husband says it feels like mass air flow issue, but this has been replaced with brand new one). We are at a total loss as to what to do now...no codes are pinging up at all. It had …

Hi all I have just purchased a beautiful example of an Accord 2006 2.0 i-VTEC with less than 40,000 miles with full main dealer service. Can anyone share their MPG with me. With mixed urban driving, not toeing it at all, all I can seem to get is 26mpg. I would be very interested to hear other peoples experience. Thanks

Hello I bought a 2006 Honda Accord in January which came with what I suspect is an ECM/PCM fault – the key has to be turned between stops 1 and 2 many times before the green key light will stop flashing and the VSA light disappears. At this point the engine and coil light come on, go off and everything works fine. If you don’t do this with the key, the car will crank fine but is immobilised, hence the flashing green key, I am guessing because the ECU does not reset/communicate correctly with the other components. There is a parasitic current draw because if you charge the battery, it will go down to about 11.4v if left, and goes flat quickly if the key is le…

Hello, I’ve seen an ‘06 diesel accord with over 200k miles for a few hundred quid. Is it worth getting just as a daily commute till it dies, or is it going to have a ton of issues at that age/mileage? MOT is valid til July. Thanks in advance

Hi Guys, Got a new issue with my Accord EX 2.2Cdti 07 which appears linked to previous "mends" made - so I think I need to research this further... I was driving today to work when suddenly transfering to 3rd, the revs slowly decrease. This despite being fully in gear and with my foot down... no power. Pulled over, restart and can pull away but same issue when going back into 3rd! Pull over... etc. Then I decided to skip 3rd into fourth, same reaction. The curious thing is that it doesnt stall the enigine - almost as if the engine ignores all throttle input and goes to idle @ ~800rpm (although Ive yet to allow it to) once put into 3rd. …

Hi guys I joined over a year ago when i bought my 08 2.2 EX, it's been a dream and this is the first issue it's had. yesterday morning i started the engine and heard a horrible scratchy sound upon start-up. it dies down after a minute. the car runs perfect, still. i've had it diagnosed as a broken AC pulley, the one at the bottom of the engine. my question is this, when i replace the ac compressor, is it wise to also replace the serpentine / fan belt too. my belt seems fine but my mechanic advised to do it anyway. #accord #ac #pulley

My 2005 Tourer 2.2 developed a fault while driving, lost all power as if the turbo had failed, and the glow plug light kept intermittently flashing. ODB said P1237 lack of boost?Anyway my decent local garge pluggged in their fancy ODB and said it seems like air mass flow sensor, which was a cheap and easy replacement, and a new air filter. The car now drives better, but seems to hit a wall at 3k, however with the air filter out it will rev all the way to the redline. It is not giving any fault codes now. Any ideas? Same problem with old filter too. Tried all pipes, no leaks, splits or fit issues. We have replaced air mass flow sensor, map sensor, cleaned egr, checke…

Hi all, just a thought I am going to fit new rear drop links on my 2005 Accord 2.4 auto tourer - the car has almost 270,000 miles on and they are the originals - I will not pay Honda prices, so the question is = what make should I go for and what make are the Honda originals ? I don`t want cheap rubbish I can get a pair unknown for £11 post free or a pair of MEYLE for £30 post free, I think I am going for the latter but thought I would ask the question anyway - Thanks in advance jimbojim

Hi all, trying to find which pulley bearings are noisy on my 05 accord 2.4 tourer - its the ones driven by the Serpentine drive belt, I had alternator checked, but that is perfect and not the problem, my local garage can not find which pulley bearings are the problem - what do all the pulleys drive, alternator, water pump, air con compressor and tensioner but what else please, any help appreciated - I don`t want to wait until it fails but would rather fix it before that happens - I will not go to Honda dealership as I no longer trust them, apart from the outrageous price - Any advice appreciated.

I have a 2005 2 litre Accord Tourer. I've had it since new and love it. I recently had a problem with the alarm going off randomly so had the alarm horn removed. The alarm still goes off randomly but only flashing lights rather than a loud noise! Is there a way of permanently disconnecting the alarm function? Also, recently the top of my tailgate (inside the body of the tailgate) has started creaking when going over bumpy raods. Any ideas on what this might be?

Hi All, 2008 Diesel Saloon ( 2003 to 2008). In the last few months the alarm would go off in the car. What was interesting was the indicators were not flashing, and anything I did, remote locking and key locking, starting and driving the car made no difference, alarm still going off. It happen a few times when I was out, car was at home. I think after about 15 minutes it would stop. I did try disconnecting the car battery and once I would connect it up again , off it would go again. Any ideas? Other info, Car seemed slow to start for a while, then one day not enough power to start, fitted new battery Ok now ( Mid Nov 2022) For about six months the …

I'd really like to buy and install the modification kit that'll allow my folding mirrors to fold off the key (or auto-fold when the ignition key is turned on/off) - all rather than relying on remembering to press the fold-button on the door. I know these kits used to exist (once upon a time), but am having a really hard time finding one now (in 2022). Can anybody help? My car's a 2006 Honda Accord 7th Gen (2.4 Petrol). Many thanks.

If I don't drive my car for a week, the car will not start. I seem to have narrowed it down to fuse no6 ( radio and interior lights) in the footwell. I have the switches turned off, removed all the blubs, booth and doors, not the sun visors or glove box, this stop the drain, in September I had the car locked for seven days, with fuse no6 removed and car started ok. I have noticed that when the engine is running, tested a few times going to work on a 30 mile journey, with multimeter connected into the lighter socket, I get no more than 13.4 Volts on the DC system. I changed the battery as well at the start of the summer. Any ideas?

Hi I know there's quite a few posts about battery drain, my mechanic has said when the central locking and alarm is armed that's when battery drain happens, did anyone figure out how to resolve this? Thanks in advance
