2003 to 2008 Accord

What happened: I ran out of battery, all good and beautiful, I call a friend with a car, I take the battery from with him same Ah but I put wrong. I put the wrong terminals on the battery .. that is + instead of - and - instead of + please what can happen? Because my car no make any noise ... no have any power :(((

Hello, I’ve seen an ‘06 diesel accord with over 200k miles for a few hundred quid. Is it worth getting just as a daily commute till it dies, or is it going to have a ton of issues at that age/mileage? MOT is valid til July. Thanks in advance

I have a 2005 2 litre Accord Tourer. I've had it since new and love it. I recently had a problem with the alarm going off randomly so had the alarm horn removed. The alarm still goes off randomly but only flashing lights rather than a loud noise! Is there a way of permanently disconnecting the alarm function? Also, recently the top of my tailgate (inside the body of the tailgate) has started creaking when going over bumpy raods. Any ideas on what this might be?

Hi all, I have an irritating fault from my 2005 accord 2.0L. cruising on the motorway if I take my foot off the throttle the rest my foot back on it will lurch a little. As soon as I'm past that acceleration is smooth and so is cruising. It also does it slightly on pull away but it does seem to be the first few mil of peddle travel. Would anyone know what could be causing this. There are no error codes or fault lights. I've not owned the car long so I don't know if it's a fault or just the way accords are Many thanks Tony

My battery died after leaving the car for three weeks without using it, then having a sharp frost (one or other killed it). Had to buy new battery and then had problems. First problem was fobs did not work. Key would unlock drivers door, could start car and drive it OK, tailgate would not open. Went to local Honda dealer. Dealer recoded fobs(2) and reported problem with tailgate latch switch not operating. Needs new one - £537 fitted !! Bought replacement from breakers, latch worked OK according to dash lights. Fob would then operate doors (unlock only) and tailgate(tourer). However, still could not lock car with fob. Dash t…

Hi Guy's, After some advice please. Cam chain has gone on my Accord and I am considering swapping out the engine, done plenty of MX-5's so I'm confident enough to do the job just never had an accord stripped to this level. Can I just do a straight swap or will I come up against issues with security features like the immobiliser etc. Any other gems of wisdom from anyone who has performed this task would be very much appreciated. Hi Looking for some advice, I have 2007 Honda accord estate cdti. It has the standard cd player, it also has telephone controls on steering wheel, no button at back. Can I swap over to a sat nav honda system OK with same connections? Do I have to add a GPS adapter? Do I have to add the Bluetooth module to use steering wheel, where would the Bluetooth module be so I could check? Thanks in advance

Hi I know there's quite a few posts about battery drain, my mechanic has said when the central locking and alarm is armed that's when battery drain happens, did anyone figure out how to resolve this? Thanks in advance

Tailgate opens every time with fob but fails to close. Tailgate light on dash constantly illuminated. If it opens I assume sensors are clean and operating also gas struts and motors work ok. No noises when fob pressed to close like beeps or whirring sound. Tried over a number of years to solve this so any further advice please

Hello all I've got a 2005 Honda Accord Automatic 2.4 saloon. The display consul is not working. The disc can be inserted but it just says ' Disc not reading' or something like that. I can only get the A/C screen to work. Any suggestions, please?

Evening Just a quick survey. I know some say that copied sat nav dvd's can damage the sat nav unit. Is this really the case, or just a myth perpetuated by the main stealers to rip us off on updated map dvd's? Personally, I've only used the original Honda ones. Has anyone actually used a copied dvd, if so what was your experience. How long have you used it, any issues, etc Thanks

My Accords alarm keeps sounding, I'm trying to find the independent battery so I can replace it, does anyone know where it can ?

I have an Accord 2008 (03-08). I've had major problems with the air con since I bought it 5 years ago, but otherwise a great car. I've now had all parts replaced, except the control unit. It now works, but erratically. Sometimes there's no cold air at all, sometimes it's only on one side, then the other side of the car, regardless of dual being off and both sides being at the same temp. Seeing as all parts have been replaced with exception of the control unit, I'm guessing that this must be faulty? If so, does this mean the whole radio /sat nav/CD unit has to be replaced too? Hi all 2005 Mk7 2.4 auto exec. can I swap/change my version 2.XX DVD unit for a later 3.XX unit from a late 2007 Accord ? The physical size is the same as is the mounting - but the wiring/plugs are not ! the newer unit has more plugs - I am sure it can be done 🙂 (says me who does not have a clue) obviously the wiring would have to be altered (and I don`t need voice operated) but would any other parts need to be changed, the signal receiver for instance ! I could buy a 2.11 update disc from Honda for around £150 (which I feel is a scandal) that would only take it to 2011 at best, still way out of date ! sometimes the alarm works, sometimes it doesn't randomly goes on sometimes and when i use remote to lock then it locks but doesn't flash and alarm symbol in dashboard not showing? can anyone help or advise?
