The battery on my CV-R needs replacing, however several sites say that after a replacement you need to somehow reset some software in the car and this is pretty common on SS cars. Anyone know if you have to do it on CR-Vs and if so how you carry it out?

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am looking to purchase a CRV mk2.5 (2006 - 66k miles) or mk3 (2008 - 33k miles) - both 2.0 petrol and I am not sure which to go for. The 2006 is costing about 2,000 Sterling and the lower mileage 2008 is about 4,000 sterling. The 2006 has an up to date MOT but the MOT on the 2008 is about to expire. I am looking for a low mileage version as I plan to convert to LPG and the investment (about 1,000 sterling) only makes sense if I keep the car for 3+ years. Which one do you think I should go for? Many thanks

Hi. Can anyone help. My 2013 CR-V 2.2D has suddenly developed a problem. The passenger power window and the same side wing mirror have both stopped working at the same time. The master control switch and the passenger switch for these items don’t work but the switches for all other windows and drivers wing mirror work as normal. Checked fuse’s, but can’t find one for wing mirror, all ok. Checked for damaged wires at door hinged position, all ok. I am thinking it’s probably pointing towards the passenger window side switch or the Master switch assy on driver’s door. But what I can’t understand why the window and side mirror have both stopped when they are on…

I am desperate to replace the OEM head unit in my 2018 CR-V and am struggling to find suitable models that would allow me to retain: 1 - Rear Parking Camera. 2 - Sat Nav 3 - DAB 4 - Steering wheel controls. 5 - Bluetooth Telephone. Ideally, I'd also like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which I don't have at the moment. Has anyone done this successfully and can recommend a suitable unit please? If there are also recommendations for a reputable company to fit it in the North West I'd appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi, my car drives lovely but draws me to ask about the auto gear selection and if this is typical with other like model owners. When cruising on a motorway at 70mph on a level road the car sits in 8th gear at around 1800 rpm and if on a slight gradient it drops to 7th. I don’t seem to experience it using 9th gear for cruising. If I sneek up to around 80 mph, It appears I still have to manually select 9th with the paddles, it will then change up to 9th but unless going downhill it soon goes back to 8th. Is this how the car is designed to run in regards to the gears and 9th not being used when at our national speed limit? I have contacted Honda and oddly, they dont know …

Its not a fault noise just normal engine noise. It's almost as if some sound proofing is missing or a grommet is not put back properly. Ive searched but cant see anythingout of place. Any ideas

Hi everyone i have just reserved my 2013 CR-V 2.2 dtec to collect next weekend. It has 55,000miles on the clock. FSH I just wanted to ask a few questions to be prepared for when I collect it. - if there anything I should be checking for with that sort of mileage that should have been done or any issues? - is there any work that will be due to be done at that mileage? I believe these are chain driven?(correct me if I’m wrong). But anything else? - finally the dealer is offering 3 months warranty as standard but with the option to increase to 12 months RAC warranty. Is this worth the paper it’s written on? At £300 extra. Any one had any good or bad exp…

Hi guys, Looking for some help. I've just noticed my 3rd brake light isn't working, looks like it is full of moisture so will probably need replacing. The brake light is fitted to a spoiler and no the actual boot door itself. I've had a look online at how to remove them but not had any luck finding anything showing how to remove it from a spoiler. Has anyone had any experience of changing these out. Thanks

Does anyone have any idea how much a blue Honda 2011 CR-V EX with just under 50 000 miles would have cost in Dec 2020/Jan 2021? Work that needed to be done on it: needed MOT, dud battery replacing, needed 4 new tyres, tracking adjusting, new front brake pads and disks, parking sensor to be replaced, headlight washer bottle replacement. The rear diff was making the usual juddering on full lock from contamination, so needed a full 3 litre drain, flush, fill, drive repeat etc. Body work was relatively good with a few chips that had turned rusty, a bit dog hairy inside (including a nice fluffy cabin filter!), but not excessive. I did a full service on it…

Hi All, Thanks for the forum add I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having with a 2015 C-RV. The car is a CRV SE Navi, 4WD, 1.6 diesel and hase covered 65k miles. My question is, having had the dpf light come on and the car go into limp mode, the car has been in the garage and the dpf cleaned and refitted and is now back to full working order, sadly on returning from the garage the engine light came on again and I headed back thinking it would be dpf related. Having been plugged in at the garage the fault was F4 which relates to the Air Flow snesor and is something we had replaced only a year ago, this has confused the garage as the…

Hi all, New to forum. Our 2015 CRV SR DTEC has had to go back to the dealers 4 times for warranty claims since we have owned it. We bought it in April 2016 with 4000 miles on the clock, it had been a Honda UK car before the dealers had it. First claim was Nov 2016 for Exhaust sensor, illuminated engine management light. Second claim was April 2017 for new passenger door mirror, glass wasn't dropping for kerb view when reverse selected. Third claim was November 2017 for PGM-FI warning light, Honda Assistance/AA diagnosed a dead glow plug. Fourth claim is ongoing but happened yesterday. Driving on local A-road, I w…

2010 Honda CR-V Auto Whilst the rear sensors are very loud, the front resemble the squeak of a dying mouse. Honda said that both sounds are made by the same unit and a replacement unit will cost over £350. Any ideas for amplifying the front sensors? Thanks in anticipation Brian Pfeiffer

Hello I am hoping that someone may be able to help diagnose an issue with our crv 09. We have just had the clutch, fly wheel and bushes replaced. Since the work has been done the engine noise in the cab is a lot more noticeable. It's definitely got louder. Its not a fault noise just normal engine noise. It's almost as if some sound proofing is missing. The car is quite new to us and we aren't mechanically minded. Any ideas?
