CR-V 2007 to 2011

Hello there. The Auto Idle with a line through it and battery light has started to show on the dashboard in orange. When I turn off the Auto Idle the lights go away but I was wondering if this means I need a new battery? i went for a 20 mile motorway journey with everything off thinking it might boost the battery but no change. My CR-V is 7 years old so would the battery be due a change? Thanks in advance.

We purchased a 2 wheel drive 2014 CRV in 2017 with 33,000 miles from a Honda dealer. On way home we noticed it shuddered at 60 mph. Took it back and eventually they changed both driveshafts. Fast forward another 36,000 miles and it’s started again. Honda have said it needs new Driveshafts again at a cost of £2,000. Cars now 8 years old and completed 70,000 miles, but to need 2 sets of driveshafts seems crazy. Has anyone else heard of this issue?

2014 Honda CRV 1.6 diesel Pgm-fi light on, code reader says po102 and po113. So I've replaced air filter and MAF sensor. Now there are no codes but pgm-fi light is still on and won't clear.

Hi, Just acquired a 2018 CRV S variant with a NAV system. I know it's essentially the base model., but seems to be lacking in some basic features that I was expecting. I wonder if there is maybe something I am not doing right? hill-start assist - don't know if it's just not present or if it needs to be activated tailgate release botton on the keyfob doesn't seem to do anything I also notrice that the head-unit runs android but doesn't support car-play or android-auto. Are there any tips/tricks/hacks to enable this? Thanks, Mark.

Hello All, I have returned to the fold - after nearly 2.5 years of disappointing Volvo ownership (which - to be fair was bought as a stop-gap car after my previous CR-V was written off), I am now the proud and happy owner of a 2013 Diesel EX auto. It's early days but I am liking it very much so far. I need to get a tow bar and associated electrics fitted; my question is whether there is an advantage in going the 'dedicated/Honda' electrics or whether the Universal electrics will suffice. I'm trying to understand if there are any electronic towing assistance aids - the manual doesn't really give any indication about this at all. TIA …

  7. Hello, I am new to these forums and looking for some help. My son's CRV has showing a dashboard warning light (not sure what). He had a small independent mechanic take a look and the feedback was The car has a fault with intake air temperature sensor requires modified sensor and a ecu software update, but it needs to go to a Honda garage I fear that a Honda garage will be an expensive bill for him (young family with three kids). Can this be done by an independent specialist? All answers very gratefully received. PS He lives near Perth in Scotland in case someone can recommend and independent

Hi all, just went into my local dealer in Plymouth, my clock has gone weird, tried everything on YouTube, nothing works. So went to get them to do it, they gave up, said something wrong with my system. 3 hrs later, come home and find an article in the sun about all Honda owners having this trouble. First, why have they not notified dealers about this, second is there any clue as to fixing it.? Any suggestion's anyone?

I am hoping someone can help me please, I have a 2012 Honda CRV and I have a DPF light with exclamation mark on, RAC said the car has already done a regeneration and doesn’t need a forced regeneration but the computer hasn’t realised and turned the warning light off. Has any one had any experience of this and any solutions. I took it for a DPF diagnostic and they said the light went off but came back on instantly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  12. The problem tends to occur after driving for 25-30 minutes, so most often on restart (clutch pedal depressed) after auto-stop. On depressing the clutch pedal, there's about 1-2 seconds of screeching/grating as the starter motor kicks in. This doesn't sound great, but is intermittent, in that you can predict roughly when it might happen, but can't reliably repeat the symptom. We took it back to the garage who sold us the 3-year-old vehicle back in November, but they couldn't repeat it either. It only ever happens a couple of times and then never again on the same trip. It's obviously in some way connected to engaging the starter mot…

Have just bought a 67 plate CRV SE + NAVI 1.5 EcoDream engine. System management light showed twice - issue with the engine. Appears there is known problem with this engine regenerating and/or fuel injection. Wish had looked online before ! Is this isolated or is this a common issue? No Honda fix it seems. Are people living with this or is there something that stops it ? Thank you .

  16. 2007 (gen 3) Honda CR-V EX 2.2 i-ctd-i 6 speed manual. The dash clock in the navigation/entertainment centre will not retain time after it is set and then the ignition is turned off, BUT it will keep the time if the ignition is not turned totally off even with the engine not running. If the ignition is kept on Aux, the run position or the engine is running it is fine. Is there a fuse or relay that controls this? I have disconnected the battery, waited 30 minutes then reconnected it, reset the radio code , the ECU then reinitialised the security system but it had no effect. 8 attempts so far and always the same result.....HELP please.

I have a 2009 CRV that occasionally makes a rattling and clicking noise from the alternator area and the VSA warning light comes on. I think this subject was touched on a few years ago. Would anyone have any further thoughts on this? Any help much appreciated.

Hi Folks, The touchscreen/radio on my 2007 CR-V is completely unresponsive, as soon as the ignition is switched on this screen is displayed, i can't even turn the unit on or off, no button or combination of buttons work, it is just stuck on the warning screen, I also have an audio beep coming from the speakers every few minutes whilst driving, which is quite annoying. I have tried disconnecting the battery and the usual suggestion of holding the power button but nothing seems to work. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  20. Hi All, I have a 2009 Honda CRV SE plus 2.2 diesel. This summer it went in to Honda to have a couple of valve seals replaced. Afterwards, there was a juddering under acceleration that got progressively worse in the higher gears between 1500 - 2200 rpm. It is more pronounced accelerating up hills or towing. There are no fault codes. Honda diagnosed a high pressure fuel pump issue. Another garage suggested the front drive shafts which I have had replaced and the rear diff fluid changed, which has made little difference. Fuel economy has improved but is still nowhere where it was and there is increased tyre wear on the front near-side tyre. Ano…

I find the stock headlight (halogen) on my 2029 Civic quite dim, and I'm looking at replacing the bulbs with LED type. Does anyone have any experience/ recommendations etc. as to which make or type? - or any to avoid? I imagine nowadays the new bulbs are plug 'n play? Any before/after pictures - and if its worth it?!

Hi I’m having issues with the brakes on my 2010 crv, hoping someone might be able to shed some light as to what to look at. When braking the pedal goes straight to the board with little or no resistance, it slowly brakes. If I pump the brake in preparation to brake then I get resistance and it brakes sooner. Brake pipes have been checked for leaks, fluid is ok, mechanic isn’t sure what to try next, he’s thinking master cylinder on the servo or abs pump so I’m trying to help him do a bit of research to see if either have any particular problems or if it’s possibly something else. Has anyone experienced this problem before? All help and advice appreciated thanks
