Hi Folks, bought FRV 2.2 Diesel manual 56 plate just over a year ago now and its been running just fine and is very economical 48/50 MPG. THe blower fan has recently stopped working and I`m wondering if anyone has had experience with this and what the issue is. Thanx in anticipation Colin R

Hi there! I have a bit of a weird problem where I could really use some advice. The rear left signal light of my 2005 FR-V stopped working after towing our caravan for a while. I think it was OK until we unhitched the caravan. Situation right now: Right signal: normal Left signal: only front & mirror (fast flashing) Hazard lights: normal (also rear left) Locking: normal (three blinks, also rear left) Trailer lights: no singnal ligths left & right, rearlights and brake light normal. Hi Everyone. Driving back home yesterday after a 40mile run my engine stopped about 500 metres from my house. It wouldn't start again (plenty of fuel). After 5 mins it started again then just died straight away and did this a few times. After it cooled the engine started and runs fine but I have an orange engine light on. Any ideas? Fuel filter maybe? I'm reluctant to take it for a long run. Thanks in advance...It's the 2.2 diesel

Front window wipers have stopped working on 2010 FRV

Hello Is there any guideline as to how much oil the engine is expected to use. Every time I check it (which isn't that often) the oil seems to be low. And whilst we're talking about oil - what is the best oil to buy? When I put the registration in to various car parts stores they usually seem to recommend an oil that is designed for Ford engines. Is it important to stick to the exact recommended API category (the handbook says) SJ or SL, or is it ok to use SN instead? Besides the API specification, is there anything else that matters? The manual specifies 5W30 viscosity.

Hello everybody, I am looking for front shock absorbers for my FRV. Where do you buy them? I can only find te oem ones,aftermarket nothing. I read somewhere that the shocks of a certain Civic model might fit. Ideas? Tips? Thanks😁

my Speedo stopped working and wondered if people have ideas? I believe that the sensor PWR-013 may be at fault and wondered it’s position? Also is there a fuse that also associated to the speedo?

Hello I have an 2006 FR-V, 2L petrol which has recently had a replacement catalytic converter and lambda sensors fitted after the originals were stolen. A couple of months after they were fitted, the yellow engine malfunction light has been coming on. I've taken it to my local mechanic who found the P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold fault code (alongside P2185 - although P0420 was listed first and I've had P2185 sporadically before). Can anyone assist with the location of the speed sensor PWR -013 on a FRV 2.2 diesel? Pretty sure this is the culprit for Speedo now not working

Hi everyone. I’ve got an FRV 2.2 CTDI. The clutch pedal got stiff so I replaced the clutch, pressure & release bearing. The flywheel is not a dual mass I assume it’s been modified as the clutch kit was an LUK. Anyway the clutch pedal after bleeding over & over has a low biting point & hard to get into gear, so I replaced the slave cylinder which made no difference. I’m thinking the clutch master is defective as I can press the slave cylinder rod back in by hand. If I pump the pedal every time to change gears and in between a change they engage fine. Parts for these car’s are so dear and I can’t keep throwing money at it. Please advise if anyone has had this Is…

Just thinking how easy to replace it myself, just needs re gassing afterwards, i have basic mechanical skills but never had to do this sort of work. any reply's will be very grateful.

Hi, I own a 2008 FR-V 1.8 Trend automatic 4-spd, LHD. I'm looking to source new engine mounts, but prefer purchasing from a garage/mechanic/supplier to ensure I'm buying the correct items. Hi everyone, I have an issue with my FRV where the central locking won't open unless I press the key fob several times. I hear the noise and interior lights turn on but quickly go off and all the doors and boot remain locked. After several presses it eventually opens, when it does the noise (possibly an actuator) is slightly different. Any thoughts?

Hello Looking for ideas here. I had a catalytic converter and lamda sensors stolen. I bought replacements online (onlineautomotive.co.uk) and a few months later it started tripping the engine management light - P0420: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). I'm now wondering about trying to get the catalytic converter replaced under warranty and wondering what is the best way to go about it? Hi how should it take a mechanic to change an alternator on a 2008 Honda fr-v 2.2 cdti

Hi all, can back to my 06 frv yesterday in a car park and found the drivers side mirror had been fully pushed back. Normally when this happens can usually just push it back and after a few attempts the power folding sorts itself out and gets in sync. However this time the whole mirror is just flimsy and can be folded in by hand and easily. When turning the car on can hear the motor in the mirror whirring away constantly and doesn’t stop and power folding does not engage. is this fixable or should I look for a replacement mirror? Does anyone know how to take the mirror unit apart and what I should be looking for?

Hi. Does anyone know where I can get a bottom ball joint for my Honda 2.2ctdi FRV 2006? I was told by Honda that I couldn't buy just the ball joint and would have to buy the complete hub carrier for nearly £300. I ended up doing this for the drivers side (crying as I did so) but now the passenger side will soon need replacing and I am loathe to do so again. I have the old ball joint from the driver's side in my hand so I know it does separate from the hub carrier. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to overcome it? 🤞 It's not the sort of part that I want to get from a breakers because it would undoubtedly have wear issues too.
