2008 to 2015 Accord

hey guys having issues with my 2.2 dtec accord. i bought car from a garage in southampton and had it delivered to me in gloucestershire, car seemed ok but a bit down on power anyway a week after i got it on a friday dpf light come up and went into limp mode. took car to honda dealer and had force regen went much better after that. 2 weeks later on a friday wtf dpf light comes on again, getting a bit pissed off with car already now lol. my mechanic got his mate who is a proffesional dpf cleaner to come and clean dpf, great sorted he said dpf is totally clean nice one. a few weeks later ffs dpf light again comes up and bloody limp mode, am really sick of this car now and ga…

Can anyone identify the noise? It almost sounds like injectors but the tapping/ticking noise seems to be too loud? Is this normal? Only thing I can think of is maybe I'm due a valve adjustment?

Hello, I've joined this group in the hope that someone can help me diagnose and fix a problem with my 2010 honda Type S when accelerating between 40-50mph my car vibrates from the front passenger side. Wheel alignment checked, Wheels checked and swapped, tyres changed too, yet the issue persists. Has anyone suffered from similar and if so how did you fix it? I'm starting to think it could be driveshaft related. Thanks for taking your time to read this, I'd as appreciate any feedback.

has anyone else had any issues with 2010Accord manual 6 speed. sounds like a wheel bearing or tyre traction noise . Had 4 new tyres last week and checked bearings. All ok.cars only done 70k miles

Hi everyone, new to the forum. I have an 09 2.4i Accord Manual which I've owned nearing 3 years now, and have loved the car, really fun, great engine. For a good few months now its developed a horrible shaking/vibration when accelerating past 45-50mph, more noticeable going up any type of hill, its really horrible when I look at the passenger seat to see it shaking. Hi, I've just bought my first Honda. Its a 2009 accord EX diesel auto tourer and I was really impressed with it on the test drive. Unfortunately it only has one key which is looking rather worn. For peace of mind I want a new spare key. It is the 3 button key with tailgate open / close, and ideally I'd like the new key to be a pop up flip key. I'm from Huddersfield but travel into Greater Manchester / Lancashire every week so I'm quite happy to travel if I have to? I've been phoning around and the best quote so far is £110 for a cut and programmed key. Does this sound reasonable or do any of you know a better place to try?? Cheers Alastair

I have an issue with the front passenger side window and the rear view mirror. Both don't work, opened the door casing, checked the wires, fuses seem okay too. Unsure what's wrong. Can anyone help. Birmingham U.K Honda owner

Hello who can help me i drive accord dtec 2008 since short time my abs/vsa/tsa light comes on. First thought where battery this was bad so replaced. But now still come back. After 2 till 5 times restart while rolling the car it s gone but after fews days comes back. I doubt if its really the abs relay. Who knows or have expierence with this. Greets edwin

Hello, I've got a Accord tourer 2011 with stock navigation system. Maps on dvd. Is it possible to get updates for the maps? It's east europe (nordic countries) I'm interested in. The version I've got is 3.41 and I belive there should be newer. My dealer could not help me.

Have a 2011 type S tourer. There's an odd rattling noise when pulling from low revs. Most noticeable when engaging the clutch. For example I can hold the brake and bring the clutch to the bite point and I hear it. Reminds me of a noise from a loose heat shield on an old car. The fact that it does it in all forward gears but not reverse makes me think it could be a gearbox problem. Anyone any ideas?

I have a Honda Accord 2012 Viii ADAS 2.4 Time has come to get a new battery.....thought it would be easy. Original battery seems to have some sort of plastic frame work around it. Is this something Honda put around the original battery or am I restricted to a particular size. What to get a good battery and wondered if this battery from Amazon would be ok? I own a Honda Accord 2.4 EX I-VTEC 4DR [adas] 2012 I have recently had trouble with the satellite navigation system and my clock. I can't seem to get any update for my navigation system the system since the beginning of this year does not allow me to alter/set the correct time and give me correct destination traveling time. Can't even set the clock on the radio to the right time.......... Anyone any ideas please? Thanks

Hi all, My car used to display an orange spanner symbol in the centre part of the Speedo clock when it needed a service. After servicing the car I could always reset the counter. But recently I notice that the service counter is blank (3 dashes) and doesn't appear to be counting anymore. Is there a way of re-activating it as I'm concerned it also has a link to the DPF regen system?

HI I've not used the Accord since London ULEZ came into force on the 29/08/23. I went to turn it over today and it was practically dead. Jump started it OK but then the power steering warning light came on. This went off when I revved the engine so thought that was down to a low battery. Left the engine running for about 10 minutes with the occasional bit of revving but after a while other warning lights came on (VSA I think). I turned it off and tried to restart but it was dead again. Anyone have any ideas as to why? Thanks in advance for any help.

My 2009 Honda Accord Tourer Exec wiper motor packed up. Thought I could replace just the motor, Cox Honda parts say the whole assembly (£615) has to be replaced, not just the motor. Is this correct, anyone know? Regards, Graham (Cornwall)

Hi, I have accord 8 gen, 2009 2.2i-dtec model. My aircon pump has died. New ones are a bit expensive, so I have started looking for used part. I cannot find anything on ebay specifically for accord 8 gen with diesel engine. I found some for accord 7 gen and one from civic 2009 2.2i-dtec. I couldn't find any information whether any of the above would fit into my accord. The part number from civic 2009 2.2i-dtec I found is 38800-RSR-E010-M2. Unfortunately, I cannot check the part number in my car without going to a garage. Does anyone know whether previous accords pump would fit in or the civics pump please?

New here. I have recently got a 2.2 idtec 2013 with 80k miles and it's great. I noticed yesterday that the engine whines on revving up and whines when revving down. No whine on idle. Checked it on the drive whilst static so no gearbox or drive train issues. I read somewhere that this is normal ??!! If Not normal then maybe alternator bearings ??

My faithful Honda died on me for the 1st time in 300000 miles. Car suddenly cut out displaying fuel injection fault. Green flag was unable to fix at side of road due to no tools and diagnostic tool wouldn't connect and I quote mechanic " this piddly thing is useless, not like those large diagnostic tools in dealerships" Joke. Does anyone know if the powered wing mirror assembly can be fully broken down? The silver part of mine is damaged, but the black lower half is fine. I can purchase a 2nd hand one I've seen, where the lower half is damaged but the top is in good condition. Therefore ideally I would like buy that, remove the silver casing part and fit it to mine... Anyone know if this is doable or am I restricted into getting a whole new assembly, thanks in advance? Andy
