CR-V 2007 to 2011

I’ve built a double bed base for a 2008 Honda CRV. I only used it twice (I run D of E courses) before the car was sadly written off (without the bed in it). It’s really good quality, comes in two pieces and along with a tailgate tent, makes for a brilliant simple camper conversion. It cost me about £200 to build. I don’t really want anything for it, but I’d like it to go to someone that will use it and benefit from it. I’ve got photos, so please email me for pics if you are interested. I’m based in East Sussex.

I have a 2013 CRV, occasional the warning light for the stop start illuminates on start up, goes off again shortly after driving off, I’ve also noticed the stop start will operate with the clutch peddle lifted to 3/4 of the way, if foot is taken off the clutch peddle the engine restarts whilst still in neutral. Since this has started cruise control also is playing up. Sometimes it operates others it doesn't. Could they be linked Regards Martin

Hi all, Just after a bit of advice, have the 2.2 diesel 58 plate. There is a leak on the power steering hose. Was told that the honda accord 2.2 pipe would fit.. it doesn't. (Tried this because the accord pipe was £20 compared to the crv pipe which is £96). The only difference was the thread was different and the male connector was wider. Anyone had the same problem and know a way to find a cheaper one? Every single scrappy I've contacted has sold out of them as soon as they get them in and talking mega bucks going to main dealer which we can't afford. Hello All, I have returned to the fold - after nearly 2.5 years of disappointing Volvo ownership (which - to be fair was bought as a stop-gap car after my previous CR-V was written off), I am now the proud and happy owner of a 2013 Diesel EX auto. It's early days but I am liking it very much so far. I need to get a tow bar and associated electrics fitted; my question is whether there is an advantage in going the 'dedicated/Honda' electrics or whether the Universal electrics will suffice. I'm trying to understand if there are any electronic towing assistance aids - the manual doesn't really give any indication about this at all. TIA …

Hello everyone! I'm trying to trace an oil leak on our 2011 Honda CRV with 375Tkm on the clock. It has been parked in the garage for the last couple of years as my wife upgraded to a newer vehicle, and I've been keeping this one as a backup. Well, it's time to retire my current beater and upgrade to this beauty, so I'll finally have to figure out where the oil is going. 🙂 The engine had been leaking oil for the last little while that she drove it, but it would only leak if the engine was running; hence, it never left any oil spots on the driveway. Hi, Just acquired a 2018 CRV S variant with a NAV system. I know it's essentially the base model., but seems to be lacking in some basic features that I was expecting. I wonder if there is maybe something I am not doing right? hill-start assist - don't know if it's just not present or if it needs to be activated tailgate release botton on the keyfob doesn't seem to do anything I also notrice that the head-unit runs android but doesn't support car-play or android-auto. Hi All, I have recently bought a 2007 CR-V Automatic with 118,000 miles on the clock and have two problems that I would like some advice on please. When starting from cold the starter motor makes a noise. I think it is at the stage when the engine has just started and the motor is disengaging. Is this something I should worry about and have fixed or should I just leave it? The automatic gearbox is occasionally behaving oddly. (I am pretty sure it is the gearbox.) Hi all. We have a Honda crv 2007 2.2 diesel car and also a caravan. When we are towing the caravan the rear suspension feels soft even though I am within towing weights. Is there a way I can stiffen the suspension without it costing a fortune. Thanks in advance.

Hello, First post here. I'll introduce myself fully but I need to get this sorted. Had my CR-V for about a year and I'm loving it. On Saturday the Car cut out while stopped in traffic. All electrics went so no hazards or steering. After 5-10 minutes it all powered back up and started as if nothing had happened. It then happened again on Tuesday night when I pulled into my drive. 11 minutes timed this time. Then restarted. I've had it with an auto-electrician today. No errors showing. Not even registering that it has been powered a loss of power. Battery, Fuses, Clutch Checked. Not sure about Ignition Switch (Not sure how this works with keyless entry/s…

My air con is not working and wondered if anybody out there has a contact who could repair this problem for me? The fans are working but there is no cold air coming through the vents. Local garage attempted to repair but claim the unit is broken and will need to be replaced. I have checked with the local garage following a recent service and they quoted close to £500 to replace the unit, this is money I dont have currently following redundancy in 2020.

Hi guys. Dont like to ask for help when I've only just joined but I've just purchased a 2008 CRV 2.2 CDTI with 93,000 miles but I've got an issue when parking. When I turn to park in a parking space for example , the steering seems to judder and the front end almost feels like it's under steering. Seems to happen whether I'm turning left or right. Driving and turning at normal speeds is totally fine. I took it back to the garage I bought it from and they did the tracking and said it was sorted , but it hasn't sorted it. Hi I have hona crv 2018 1.6 160km diesel .I have problem with my fuel tank capacity. Basically in my manual fuel tank should have 58l. But when I refueling car from empty (low fuel light and computer shows 30 miles range) i can do 43- 45 liters maximum. I was refueling car 10 times so far and always is same. I can understand reserve tank need some fuel but 13-15 liters and 30 mies range is something wrong in my opinion. Please tell me how many liters you can put in your crv? Many thanks.

Hi guys. I'm hopeful that someone may be able to offer some advice regarding dashboard warning lights. I've only had the car a couple of weeks and am loving it! Last week the tyre warning light came on so I took to the manual to see what the problem is? From what I read it informs of a tyre losing some pressure. So I checked all tyres and put the correct amount into each one, but the warning light is still on, and remains on some days later. I was wondering what if anyone had experienced this and could point me in the right direction? Hope to hear from someone soon. best regards

received letter from Honda saying my 2007 CRV 2.2 ICTDI to have airbags replaced they state they have written to me previously but i have never had any letter and only had the vehicle 8 months so booked appointment the AA are coming out to the work but not until 10th of Jan 2022 they must be busy, not sure which airbags or how long that will take. anyone had the same issue?

just noticed both the heated seats are not working checked the fuse that is ok seems rather strange both are not working, anyone any ideas on this ? not checked the relays but would be rather odd that all four relays have given up the ghost.

Hi I have entered into a dispute with a windscreen fitting company after they have refitted the scuttle panel and rubber seals back around my windscreen and left gaps, it looks terrible and would mean water will be getting where its not supposed to! To help my case i could do with some pictures of what it should look like. So i need pictures at the bottom of the windscreen showing the rubber strip on the scuttle panel in contact with the glass and a picture of the rubber strip that runs at the top of the windscreen between the glass and the roof/pano glass. Any help you can offer would be much apreciated. Thanks

Hi I'm new to this forum and just need some advice on what I know is a common CRV problem, the rear diiferential. My car is a 2008 petrol automatic, 92,000 miles. I've only owned the car for 7 months, it has a nearly full Honda service history. I had the car serviced at a local Honda dealer four months ago and asked them about the lumpy idling and slight graunch after I've reversed off my drive on full lock and then heard the noise just as I pull away. Hi All, I have a 2009 Honda CRV SE plus 2.2 diesel. This summer it went in to Honda to have a couple of valve seals replaced. Afterwards, there was a juddering under acceleration that got progressively worse in the higher gears between 1500 - 2200 rpm. It is more pronounced accelerating up hills or towing. There are no fault codes. Honda diagnosed a high pressure fuel pump issue. Another garage suggested the front drive shafts which I have had replaced and the rear diff fluid changed, which has made little difference. Fuel economy has improved but is still nowhere where it was and there is increased tyre wear on the front near-side tyre. Ano…

Hi all. I'm new to car forums but I thought I would give it a go, I have a problem my CRV 2008, that mechanic can't cure. I keep getting an intermittent vibration coming up through the steering wheel, sometimes it lasts for a second or two, other times it can last as much as twenty seconds.. Sometimes this is so bad the windscreen shakes as well. I happens all the time but it is more noticeable while on cruise control at between 38 and 40mph. Has anybody heard of this or knows something about it. I would be very grateful for your help. Thank you.

Hi, I have a 2007 diesel crv with a fitted tow bar. Went to attach my trailer yesterday and there seems to be a problem with the electrics. Can someone tell me where the fuse may be for the tow bar so i can check this first. The tow bar has been working up to this point so hoping its something simple. Thank Paul
