Good evening fellow Hondeers. I am currently broken hearted at the discovery of a circular scratch on the front passenger door after only 2 weeks of owning my beautiful CR-V. I was recommended Meguairs Scratch X 2.0 at my local Halfords as I can't feel the scratch with my fingernail. I'm afraid of permanently damaging the paintwork though. Does anyone have any experience of using this? It cost a tenner but I'll bin it if I have to. A local body shop said I'd be looking at about £120 which I think is a bit steep! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi.I have recently bought a 2020 Jazz petrol hybrid.I am having difficulty making phone calls in the car. When I press the phone icon on the steering wheel it shows the menu on the display but when I say “call name” nothing happens.I am not sure how to use speed dial on this model. It seemed so much easier on my previous 2015 civic tourer!!!Any replies would be appreciated.Thank you.

Hi All I am considering fitting Four new Tyres on my 4 wheel Drive 2008 Mk 3 CRV and having done a fair bit of research on the type of Tyre I might need as I don't do an excessive mileage I have found Royal Black Sport Tyres being sold by the RAC for my type of vehicle which on the face of it conforms to all I need including the Road Holding and Safety aspect and has got some good reviews on all the Websites, Sure I could go for the more expensive make of tyre but this may be false economy based on the reviews for the Royal Black Sports Tyres, Not being a Car Tyre Professional If any one has had any experience with these Tyres I would appreciate a practic…

Hi Guys our trusty Honda Jazz I VTEC ES CVT 2011 has just been written off by some clown driving into the back of it. IK had purchased a spare 15 inch wheel for it as a spare, haven't got anytime for the fancy gunk and pump. We have now purchased a 2019 Jazz I-VTEC EX Navi CVT that doesn't even haver a jack with it let alone a spare wheel. I have made enquiries at my local supplier and he tells me they can't get me a spare wheel, albeit they did get me one for my 2011 jazz. I've asked the guys in the dealership and they tell me you can't put a full size spare in the boot of the new jazz as it would lift the floor level of the boot and would not be legal when taking the MO…

Honda Civic Hatchback 1.6 Diesel 2015 - 117,000 miles Over a year ago the EML came on and the car went into limp home. My garage said the code was showing a P0401. He put fuel cleaner additive in the tank, reset the code, and told me to drive the car at a steady 4000 revs on the dual carriageway. This sorted the problem out for a month or two before the light came back on. He did the same as before and again this sorted the problem out for another month or two. On the third occasion he said that it is probably a sticking EGR valve but at £900 cost he decided to have the car in and clean the EGR. This time we took the car to Northern Ireland and drove about 800 miles…

UK line-up is now petrol, hybrid and pure-electric only but plans have also been brought forward to phase out petrol Diesel-fuelled Hondas have been withdrawn from UK sale with the last vehicles expected to be out of dealerships within a few weeks. The Japanese carmaker is the biggest VM yet to axe diesel power in Britain. It will also bring forward plans to phase out pure petrol cars by the end of 2022, rather than 2025 as previously suggested. A Honda spokesman: “Honda has accelerated its plans for all its European mainstream car models to be electrified from 2025 to 2022 and our motor petrol hybrid technology will play a key rol…

Good Morning All, just wondering if anyone has had issues using supermarket diesel rather than a brand name such as Esso or Shell. I know the brands claim that their diesel has better cleaning agents and you should get better mpg, but is that the case. Any suggestions

New CR-V Hybrid delivered in August 2019 with many faults. The main fault is that although the Climate Control functions are recognized by the voice control function, none are not executed. I gather that Honda Europe have been aware of this for a while, but 'forgot' to mention this to prospective purchasers. As I understand it Honda Japan are working on a 'fix' but no one at Honda has been able to give me a date. Additionally, the Audio and temperature controls continually autonomously change their settings. To day the screen said the audio function was not available while the vehicle was in motion! Poor customer relations Honda! I expect a gen…

Cast your eyes upon the all-new 2012 Honda Insight. Ok, it looks almost the same but there are some very important changes making this Frankfurt Motor Show release something to get excited about - providing you like eco-driving and being very friendly to the environment. In principle it is the same 5-door hatchback as the outgoing model. It produces 96g/km some 5 fewer than the current model, and although no official figures have yet been released, the MPG figure is expected to rise above the 64.2 we've been getting used to. A number of methods have been employed in order to produce these squirrel friendly results. The CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) has been m…

Hi Members, its a long Shot probably, but does any Member know which Tyres can offer a comfortable ride on my 4 X 4 1997cc CRV Exec , Not lookinking at Michelin or the expensive makes , maybe a middle range price tyre, with our roads in such a shocking state, I thought a softer make of tyre would give a more pleasant comfortable ride. All replies would be appreciated Many Thanks BAZZER RN 1

Hi Guys & Gals Just bought a Front and Rear View Dash Cam for the CRV and thought I would have a go at fitting it this week, It is not an easy job as some might suggest with havin to tuck the wiring neatly away out of sight in the bodywork panels and making sure all is as covert as possible, I have plugged the power lead into the Cigarette Lighter socket for the time being until I can sort out which fuse I will and can connect it to on a permanent basis, It works fine but one thing to watch out for when feeding the power cable through is that you don't get it caught on any sharp objects, as I did with the result I cut through the cable and it cost me some extra t…

I'm so jealous my colleague at work has put his name down for a new Type R, more suited for the older gent as it doesn't have the boy racer spoiler. Apparently it has been lowered to compensate for the spoiler, it looks the dogs.

I am going to register my FR-V (currently UK reg, 2006 car) in France. Therefore I need to change the dipped beam, which in most cars means changing the whole headlamp. I am really struggling to find any LHD headlight unitss, at a price which is anything like sensible, so I just wanted to check if anyone had had any experience of adapting the existing RHD headlamps ? There's no hidden adaptor (BMW style), or work-around??? Changing them to Xenon seems to be illegal and doesn't create a decent, sharp light pattern which the French Controle Technique looks for. My question sounds a bit daft, but I have to ask.. I have been looking for used (or even new) h…

Getting my car through the MOT is always is a bit of a trial. It takes ages to get the car engine/exhaust warm enough to pass the emissions test . I always use super 97 fuel with Redex and whilst the car really drives well it still takes a while to get it hot. The car is an import (2005) so is there any engine management change I can make or is it a case of a decoke or something else ? Thanks John C

Hi all, I have a 2011 crv ex ivtec and for some unknown reason the factory hid headlights have started aiming high. I've owned the car for 2 years and never had the problem before. There is no manual adjustment inside the car nor is there under the bonnet. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this and how I'd go about fixing it please? Many thanks Jay.
