  1. A remap of the engine ECU could cure this. Found when I remapped my CR-V for economical and driveability reasons that the gears had 'longer legs' and contributed to better gear usage
  2. Check for broken earth cables connecting from the battery negative terminal to the gearbox/engine and other associated wiring as excess engine movement could be affecting the connection?
  3. Definitely wheel imbalance....take it to a tyre bay who can rebalance the wheels
  4. Usually located in the kick panel area on the front bulkhead
  5. Hi....welcome to the Club! That sounds like a perfectly reasonable price for what would be a great little runabout/work horse. Let us know how you get on with acquiring it
  6. I would say that a carbon clean from a company like TerraClean would sort these issues. Sounds like carbon build up in the intake side of the engine
  7. I would stand my ground on this one as it is clearly a known fault and if they cured one side then they can do the other as its the same issue. Let us know how you get on with it
  8. Hi Lee....welcome to the Club The price for the second service is usually more because of the level of work and parts is greater. Compared to a second service on my Harley, that price you quoted is cheap 😞
  9. Hi Bosco....welcome to the Club Superb couple of Honda's you have there and huge amounts done to them. Good to have you onboard!
  10. Hi BAZZER RN 1 ....welcome to the Club! You can't go wrong with a CR-V, superb car with huge reliability. The X-Type is also a great car to drive but not as reliable as the Honda unfortunately. Good to have you onboard!
  11. There has been an issue with Honda clocks where it has been resetting to the year 2001 so may be related to this?
  12. Hi Steve.....welcome to the Club Just goes to show how reliable the Honda FR-V really is. Same goes with most of the Honda range, all good cars! Good to have you onboard and some other members from Honda Karma have found their way here
  13. Hi Dick....welcome to the Club You certainly enjoy your CR-V's then if this is your fourth one. Good to have you onboard!
  14. It could be the immobiliser control unit as some Honda models seem to suffer this issue. You can get a replacement unit and key to match secondhand and fit yourself
  15. Ebay link to advert: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203927078335
  16. It sounds like it wasn't serviced before you bought it then I would argue this if it is the case as the vehicle should have been checked over before sale
  17. Hi.....welcome to the forum! Good to have you onboard.
  18. Hi Mark Good to have you onboard
  19. Maybe worth removing the trim from the tailgate as had the same issue on a Toyota recently and found a plastic clip had dropped into the latch mechanism and was stopping it from closing
  20. I would check the plugs to see they are not wet when cranking over the engine Also check the plug gaps are correct
  21. iceboxautos are a good supplier of aftermarket audio designed to fit the CRV model you have
  22. Have heard they do the job well but not sure about quality
  23. They have had issues with air con pump pulleys disintegrating so maybe yours is on the way out and is displaying the symptoms you describe. Look at how the pulley runs with the AC switched on and if there is any deflection when running
  24. Sounds like a crank sensor issue to me, would measure if there is any output as no fuel pressure would be generated if no engine revs
  25. larrygreen1 How did you get on with this issue?
