  1. Check the hoses going to the washer jets and it should leave a trace (stain) on the engine where it is dripping
  2. Hi....welcome to the Forum A lot of modern automatic transmissions are sealed and can only be drained and then refilled at most. If it is not faulty or leaking then it should be fine and not worth worrying about until it is due for routine maintenance
  3. Try these guys https://www.iceboxauto.com/honda#/specFilters=2m!#-!193
  4. Hi....welcome to the Club That's a tough one as the only way you would really know how much is in the tank is to run it out completely and then refill it to gauge the quantity. I would imagine it does have in the region of 13 to 15 litres but the range is only really an estimate based on driving styles and conditions.
  5. Hi Ian......welcome to the Club It sounds like the air con system is not working and its just running off the standard heater system. There is an issue with the air con relay which can be sourced from eBay at little cost (Denso relay). You then have to reset the air con system .... plenty of info on YouTube how to do this and if it has triggered the engine management warning lamp then this will need to be reset Let us know how you get on with it
  6. Hi Kelly....welcome to the Forums You should be able to source a company in your local area that can repair or make a new one at very little cost. These companies usually make hydraulic pipes and hoses for diggers and trucks but can replicate your one if you take it in with you. Let us know how you get on with it
  7. It's usually in the door pillar area or if not then should be on a card that was supplied with the car originally
  8. Hi....welcome to the Forums Haven't had any experience towing with an Automatic CR-V but I would say it is a case of going at a slower pace and not relying on the engine for braking so much (which would load the transmission)....then it should be okay without any mods.
  9. Now you're talking my kind of language! Humber Sceptre and Opel Monza....superb cars to own in the day 🙂
  10. Hi David.....it could be an air leak caused by a perforation or leak in the gasket or flange area. This would cause the Oxygen sensor to read high oxygen content and flag an error. Check there is no leak in the exhaust and then check Oxygen sensors for correct operation
  11. Had the Rover 220 Coupe Turbo which was Rover's equivalent to the Integra....great car and really rapid for a 2.0 litre. It does make you wonder where the old motors in one's life disappear off to and totally regret selling some of them 😞
  12. Hi David.....welcome to the Club the HRV is a really great car and always say it wouldn't have got to that mileage if it wasn't a quality vehicle
  13. Lovely to see such fine motors of their day.....thanks for sharing
  14. You could always increase the tyre profile (e.g. a larger profile height) which will provide more 'cushioning' over bumpy surfaces. Unless you want to corner fast then the handling will still be acceptable but much more smoother ride. I have done the same thing on my BMW Z3 and so much more pleasant to drive nowadays 🙂
  15. Hi Mike.....welcome to the Club I shall repost into the General Discussions section of the forums. Good to have you onboard!
  16. Hi Robert......welcome to the Club Window rubbers can be found on sites like eBay if you know the dimensions and profile then you should be able to source some lengths of the desired rubbers and then fit them to the door profile Good to have you onboard!
  17. Hi Neil.....welcome to the Club That is such fantastic economy figures Plenty of functions in the Jazz - if you can find out how to unlock the features Good to have you onboard!
  18. Hi ...... welcome to the Club The older Civics are now becoming quite desirable amongst the modifying owners and can now fetch good money for the right ones Good to have you onboard!
  19. Hi Whippet .... and welcome to the Club The 2.2 engine is very reliable but if looking at a manual transmission version then check the Dual Mass Flywheel isn't rattling when switching on and off - particularly as the engine is shutting down.
  20. I think there are cheap covers and then there are covers that would be better quality but obviously cost more. You would want tighter fitting covers to ensure they don't bunch up and move around on the seat
  21. Hi CivicCol......welcome to the Club Type S Civic.....getting quite rare on the roads now so worth keeping it up together to realise a good price for it when you go to sell it in the future. The questions you ask would be better placed in a new topic in the Civic section of the forum as more members (specifically interested in the Civic) may be able to answer a few of them. Good to have you onboard and good luck with the maintenance tasks
  22. Hi Kel....sorry for the late reply Welcome to the Club! Certainly had a good history of cars owned and driven over the years. Haven't heard the term 'grey imports' for many years now so definitely an age indicator there 🙂 Good to have you onboard!
  23. I had the same colour scheme on my Capri.....going for the RS3100 lookalike 🙂 I can well imagine your Broadspeed version was 'proverbial off the shovel' and can well imagine it would out-perform the E-Type as it comes down to power to weight ratio and the Jag was a heavy car in the day. Would love to hear about the other cars as well?
  24. Usually when the battery is even slightly depleted then the stop/start goes offline to preserve energy. This may be due to lockdown and infrequent use. It should restore over time when used more often
  25. Sounds like an absolute drama, but that is the same for a lot of modern vehicles nowadays Did it pass the MOT test okay? p.s. SuperBlackBird....very nice bike!
