    THE PUB

Ah now that's my passion....nothing like visiting an old English pub in the countryside for a nice pint of ale 🙂
  2. I think if you have a transmission service done then any loose or worn components will surely be picked up during the service. Let us know how you get on with it
  3. The CR-V 4 wheel drive works on an 'as and when' basis....e.g. it kicks in if it loses traction so is technically a 'Crossover' rather than an 'All Wheel Drive' vehicle As Alan has mentioned, a lot of it comes down to tyres - if they are not off road tyres then you won't get any traction once the treads fill with mud
  4. That's great to hear, thanks for letting us know.
  5. Sorry can't remember which fuse I tapped into but had to use a multimeter to find a suitable feed that was ignition switched or permanent (depending on what route you want to go)
  6. Have you tried a new (quality) battery as if the old one needs charging periodically it may have faulty cells and this can cause the issues you are describing (if the battery cannot deliver a high enough voltage on start up then this will flag the lights)
  7. Have you tried a fluid and filter change which may revive the transmissions performance?
  8. If you decide to sell it then you are welcome to advertise it in the Cars For Sale section of the forums https://uk.hondaownersclub.com/forums/forum/58-hondas-for-sale/
  9. Can you not get them reconditioned.....I'm sure there are still some companies that can do this service
  10. Sounds like the ignition system is being powered to the accessory setting on the key, I would check any relays and see if they click when they should and substitute like for like to see if it makes any difference to the clock display being permanently on
  11. Sometimes it can be a tough one to diagnose. The best way would be to attach a multimeter to the battery and then systematically remove fuses until the current drops then you'll know where the faulty circuit is located
  12. Which engine does it have?
  13. Does the battery need coding into the vehicle - e.g. vehicle may have to recognise new battery voltage otherwise will still be reading the old voltage If in doubt, worth checking to see if it has this function
  14. Can only find two listed - Fuse 3 (20 amp) in dashboard fusebox
  15. Hi Eban Only the rear caliper pistons should need winding back - the fronts will just push straight back in. Usually best to release the bleed nipple when retracting the pistons and topping up afterwards. Makes it easier to push in and also removes the fluid that has sat in the caliper which is required to refresh the old fluid every so often. In addition, it does not send fluid back through the system in reverse which can sometimes (but now quite rarely) flip the master cylinder seals and also cause damage to the ABS hydraulic system. The clunking sounds like a worn CV joint which is causing the noise.
  16. Thats £82.50 per tyre and very good for Avon.....great tyres! Have just fitted Avons to my motorbike and shame they have only just now stopped making them in the UK 😞
  17. HaHa.....that is absolutely brilliant and must have been fun to make 🙂
  18. I hope it reads positively? Which I'm sure it does as Honda have always boasted high safety standards
  19. Hi....welcome to the club! Yes, Lexus have been very slow to respond to the security threat and I think this has put a lot of people off from buying one....especially now the insurance is increasing because of the thefts I don't personally think it is too much of a problem with Honda, maybe the thieves find them a bit boring to steal 🙂 Superb choice of powerful cars prior to the Lexus and now the Honda Good to have you onboard
  20. Hi squint68 You can place an advert in the Cars For Sale section of this forum if you wish
  21. It does show as a warning (amber) to check oil level from what I can gather. Maybe a sensor issue but wonder if you could top it slightly with a small amount to see if it disappears?
  22. Does seem quieter than normal so possibly Easter break and school holidays taking up some time I guess. Well its certainly isn't the glorious sunshine we're not getting that's to blame 🙂
  23. I would advise removing the hose and taking it to a local specialist hose repairer (such as Hyphose) who make hoses and pipes to order for diggers and suchlike with hydraulic systems. They can match your pipe and make an identical new one for not a lot of pennies Let us know how you get on with it p.s. if the ignition is not switched on (e.g. the fuel pump is not primed) then the fuel pressure should have dropped enough for you to remove the hose and just deal with a slight amount to mop up but at least not spraying out under pressure.

    Lag

If you scan the ECU to see if there are any fault codes it would be a good start as the possible causes are many.....split turbo boost hose, blocked EGR, sticking turbo vanes, blocked fuel filter.....etc
  25. Hi....welcome to the Club You should be able to get new wiper blades from Halfords and go for the option of getting them fitted so they have to do the legwork to open the packaging to offer up potentially suitable blades to your car. Once you find suitable ones, keep the packaging for future reference but it just comes down to length and fittings so aftermarket parts are fine in the situation Anything else specific to the Stream then I would look on eBay (link below) for listings and see what is out there https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_1838652?mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=3&campid=5338938280&customid=HondaKW&toolid=20012
