2003 to 2008 Accord

Any ideas When I start my Honda Accord 2.4 [05 plate] the following warning lights permanently stay on ; (1) ABS, (2) VSA Activation & (3) VSA System

Any ideas how to connect my phone by bluetooth to the car system. There are a two phone controls on the steering wheel. But my android phone doesn't connect. Any ideas on how it might work much appreciated.

Hi all 2005 Mk7 2.4 auto exec. can I swap/change my version 2.XX DVD unit for a later 3.XX unit from a late 2007 Accord ? The physical size is the same as is the mounting - but the wiring/plugs are not ! the newer unit has more plugs - I am sure it can be done 🙂 (says me who does not have a clue) obviously the wiring would have to be altered (and I don`t need voice operated) but would any other parts need to be changed, the signal receiver for instance ! I could buy a 2.11 update disc from Honda for around £150 (which I feel is a scandal) that would only take it to 2011 at best, still way out of date ! Hi all, trying to find which pulley bearings are noisy on my 05 accord 2.4 tourer - its the ones driven by the Serpentine drive belt, I had alternator checked, but that is perfect and not the problem, my local garage can not find which pulley bearings are the problem - what do all the pulleys drive, alternator, water pump, air con compressor and tensioner but what else please, any help appreciated - I don`t want to wait until it fails but would rather fix it before that happens - I will not go to Honda dealership as I no longer trust them, apart from the outrageous price - Any advice appreciated.

My battery died after leaving the car for three weeks without using it, then having a sharp frost (one or other killed it). Had to buy new battery and then had problems. First problem was fobs did not work. Key would unlock drivers door, could start car and drive it OK, tailgate would not open. Went to local Honda dealer. Dealer recoded fobs(2) and reported problem with tailgate latch switch not operating. Needs new one - £537 fitted !! Bought replacement from breakers, latch worked OK according to dash lights. Hello all I've got a 2005 Honda Accord Automatic 2.4 saloon. The display consul is not working. The disc can be inserted but it just says ' Disc not reading' or something like that. I can only get the A/C screen to work. Any suggestions, please?

sometimes the alarm works, sometimes it doesn't randomly goes on sometimes and when i use remote to lock then it locks but doesn't flash and alarm symbol in dashboard not showing? can anyone help or advise?

Hi all I have just purchased a beautiful example of an Accord 2006 2.0 i-VTEC with less than 40,000 miles with full main dealer service. Can anyone share their MPG with me. With mixed urban driving, not toeing it at all, all I can seem to get is 26mpg. I would be very interested to hear other peoples experience. Thanks

I have a honda accord 2003 uk model Car cranks but wont start. Can someone tell me where is the fuel pump fuse? Or any other suggestions?

Tailgate opens every time with fob but fails to close. Tailgate light on dash constantly illuminated. If it opens I assume sensors are clean and operating also gas struts and motors work ok. No noises when fob pressed to close like beeps or whirring sound. Tried over a number of years to solve this so any further advice please

Evening Just a quick survey. I know some say that copied sat nav dvd's can damage the sat nav unit. Is this really the case, or just a myth perpetuated by the main stealers to rip us off on updated map dvd's? Personally, I've only used the original Honda ones. Has anyone actually used a copied dvd, if so what was your experience. How long have you used it, any issues, etc Thanks

Hi all, 2005 accord 2.4 auto exec tourer, electric lift tailgate, in warm weather off key fob - tailgate works perfectly ! in cold weather opens up fine off key fob button - raises to fully open, beeps then closes again ???? I gather from this that the lifting mechanics/hydraulics are fine - I have seen on the "lings honda" website there is listed a "ambient sensor" I presume this is some kind of temperature sensor ? which is mounted above the roof lining near the rear roof of the car according to the parts list - it has been like this for around 2 years or so - its about time I got round to fixing it !! Hello, My car, a 2008 2.2 CDTI EX saloon has the sat nav built in. For the last two years the car has only done 8k where it is normally 20k per year. This March, when summer time came in, the clock stayed on GMT. This is the first time this has happen in 13 years of ownership. Another thing that adjusted itself is my stay nav always had time of arrival on the display, now it shows the length of time required for the journey. I tried changing some settings in the menu, but to no avail. The Nav has come up with a disc fault twice in the last six months, but it restarts ok when I turn the engine off and on again. I leave in Ireland, just wondering if any time signals …

Power steering leak Metal Hose/Tube Honda Accord 2.0. I have whining noise, check with my garage - Power Steering pump, although he top up fluid and no noise anymore. Unfortunately this lasted few days only. So back to garage today. Get car on lift - couldn't find any leak, no on pump, no on racks. Finally leak was detected on metal pipe (tube) mounted before radiator. Photo attached. How to find OEM number for this part. Couldn't even find a proper name of this part.

I have an Accord 2008 (03-08). I've had major problems with the air con since I bought it 5 years ago, but otherwise a great car. I've now had all parts replaced, except the control unit. It now works, but erratically. Sometimes there's no cold air at all, sometimes it's only on one side, then the other side of the car, regardless of dual being off and both sides being at the same temp. Seeing as all parts have been replaced with exception of the control unit, I'm guessing that this must be faulty? If so, does this mean the whole radio /sat nav/CD unit has to be replaced too? Looking for advice or recommendation on repairing my sat nav on my 04 tourer. Unit displays disc error. Not sure if I can buy a new disc or just replace the head unit or the dvd unit?

Our '04 Accord Tourer has taken to stalling when cold, though the symptoms are odd. It starts on the button, idles, allows drive to be selected and then often stalls when halted, typically at a junction, and then prior to/just as one is trying to pull out. It then re-starts fairly happily, though not always. Our local man cleaned the inlet duct and found and replaced a faulty coolant temperature sensor, but the problem persists. The inlet duct has been smoke checked for leaks and found to be in order. Hi all, I just need your opinion. I just had my car serviced by the Honda main dealers and was advised that I need to get the Power Steering High Pressure Pipe replaced as it leaking. I was shocked when I was told the pipe was £349.99 (Part Number 53713-SEA-E02 ) but more shocked when told the pipe is going to cost £450 to fit. Now my issue is this, I called 6 Honda Main dealer and one independent to get the cost collaborated And out of the 6 Main Dealers and 1 independent they all quote the same price for the part, but only one quoted the same labour price £450, all the others quoted approx £60.
