  1. It could be a perforated intercooler or boost hose. Check also the air and fuel filters have been replaced recently
  2. It sounds very much like a loose brake pad or caliper and possibly missing a retaining clip. I would try another garage to see if they have any other ideas. Also, check your wheel nuts are tightened correctly
  3. Hi Ben....welcome to the Forum The CRV is a truly wonderful vehicle and I love mine and had no issues over all the years. Flushing the diff oil is an easy job and makes a big difference if replaced frequently. Good to have you onboard
  4. So it seems the issue occurs when the transmission is warmed up?
  5. Hi....welcome to the Forum It could be the colder temperatures affecting the fluid/oil viscosity which is causing the symptoms you describe. Does it improve after a few miles when everything has warmed up?
  6. Hi....welcome to the Forum The pads will take some time to bed in and will appear to have a 'wooden' feeling to the braking efficiency for a short while. If you carry on with normal (not harsh) braking for at least a week and they should have more bite to them by then
  7. Hi Rhys....welcome to the forum I have come across this issue with a Jazz of the same age and found the easiest solution was to replace the reader, immobiliser ECU and Engine Management ECU (I think, can't remember) along with a key. I got the whole lot from eBay from a broken Jazz so it cloned the old vehicle identity and it worked fine and easy to replace the components.
  8. oh I see....well Honda's are a little more sedate 🙂 Maybe worth comparing it to another one at another dealership to see if it is isolated to that one car or whether they are the same
  9. It could be dragging brakes, low fluid in the autobox or a number of issues. Certainly worth getting it checked out by a reputable garage to ensure that it doesn't lead to a more serious fault
  10. The Prelude is a classic Honda in every sense, especially the TypeR and Four Wheel Steer versions. Good luck with your search for a good condition example, and they must surely be going up in value over the years
  11. Not sure of exact value but it is worth valuing it by putting it on ebay and seeing how much it goes up to Post up a photo if you like, would be interesting to see it
  12. Hi Sam...welcome to the Forum I would try eBay as a first port of call, should be a few on there Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  13. 😀 That's so typically Honda...took me a while to work that one out as well
  14. Hi Pat....welcome to the Forum Going from memory I thought there is a speed indicator which shows the speed limit and the speed you are travelling at within the speedometer display. I think also that you can set the active cruise to comply with the prescribed speed limits. Definitely bed-time reading of the manual required to learn half of what the CRV is capable of....my one I had for years and was still finding the odd new thing here and there 🙂
  15. They have a way of finding issues and upselling the work at huge prices....always pays to shop around to get the issues sorted
  16. It is more than likely that it just requires some brute force to remove (e.g. held in with metal clips) by using hands (not tools) to pull back the panel. Maybe best to start at the bottom edge first. There would more than likely be a screw holding the handle in place
  17. Hi Chris....welcome to the Forum Not entirely sure of the exact problem but it will certainly be connected with the reverse switch. It may be that which is faulty and causing the problem? Alternatively it may be using the reverse lamps to trigger the other components so worth removing and checking the bulbs are working first. Let us know what you find
  18. Hi Amanda....welcome to the Forum Unfortunately, it is not an option on the 2016 CRV that I am aware of. There is however, a central locking button on the drivers door arm rest that will carry out the same function except you will have to manually switch it to lock every time you drive away. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  19. Sorry, this forum is for Honda cars and not Honda motorcycles
  20. I think I would carry out a deep discharge test on the battery and see if it is up to the mark. if not, then it won't be able to recover from a discharge (which a healthy battery would). if it is below par then I would replace it with a quality battery.
  21. Hi Denis....welcome to the Forum Not sure what happened there but would keep an eye on it in the future and if it reoccurs then maybe a visit to the local dealership is necessary. It does sound like you managed to confused the vehicles' electronics along the way but if it is now okay then maybe not worry about it. p.s. is your Jazz really a 1966 model? 🙂 Good to have you onboard
  22. Hi Iain, glad you found it and enjoying the CRV, I personally love mine and would rate it as one of the best cars I have ever owned Handbook 🙂 I know what you mean, however there is some useful info in there if you are struggling to sleep at night
  23. Not entirely sure but if they are not sealed for life units then I would look for the lowest point of the transmission and see what is there, with the refill being slightly higher up. Sorry cannot offer any other solid info but good luck with it and feel free to post up the location of the plugs for future reference
  24. Hi Phil....welcome to the Forum I too had this problem with my CRV but managed to resolve it by spraying Silicon spray up into the pedal assembly and this silenced it nicely. It does help to be double-jointed 🙂
  25. It sounds like the reprogramming did not entirely go to plan. Now the tailgate issue is resolved then it may be worth going back to the dealer to ask them to re-run the key fob programming to see if that makes a difference.
