  1. Hi Pete....welcome to the Forum Sorry, never come across this fault before, however it does seem like it has been damaged in the past and there may be some debris inside the unit. It would be best to remove and strip down to see whats going on.
  2. Changing the oil will definitely help as if washed down with fuel then the compressions will be lowered and less engine performance leading to higher fuel consumption. Also, check that the air conditioning is not on by default as on a smaller engine this will lead to huge power draw from the engine
  3. I can't find anything definitive for this fault as it should automatically register the fuel content. You could try putting some more fuel in and see if this changes over a short time period
  4. I wonder if the tank has a faulty sender unit as the digital readout should be completely reliable reading if taking it straight from the sender
  5. They use an audible wear indicator which is a thin piece of metal that comes into contact with the brake disc and create a scraping sound. The fronts should have the same but if they look low I would be tempted to swap them out before they reach the wear indicator
  6. Hi..welcome to the forum I would pay a visit to the local Honda dealership as they should be able to provide the code to you (usually at no cost).
  7. Hi Andy Sounds like the rear pads are getting low and reaching the audible wear indicator (thin plate that contacts the discs when brakes applied and sometimes when cornering which could indicate slight wheel bearing wear). Also, make sure your diff fluid is changed regularly otherwise you get a clunking from the rear on full lock
  8. Hi....welcome to the Forum On a 1999 car there would probably only be the one oxygen sensor, but being as it's Japanese origin then it may actually have two sensors fitted. The easiest way to determine this would be to scan the Engine Management for fault codes and if it has downstream or number 2 oxygen sensor listed as a fault then you will need to locate the second lead to connect up another sensor.
  9. Hi....welcome to the forum Try these guys as they might have something that will work https://www.headlampsdirect.co.uk/
  10. It is an age thing unfortunately, I too have swapped MPH for MPG and seem quite content with it really 🙂
  11. Hi....welcome to the Forum I do not know of any issues other than the odd battery cell going faulty but cheap to replace (albeit by a qualified Hybrid technician) Otherwise, I don't think you'll have any issues for years to come. Worth checking the system through the onboard diagnostic display to view the battery and Hybrid condition to ensure it is not failing in any way. Let us know how you get on with it all
  12. The Blackbird is a superb bike, always wanted one then realised I am not immortal. I think you may be better off on the roads nowadays with the Civic....great all-round car really...Enjoy! Ride a BMW GS1200 most of the year and love its reliability and rideability 🙂
  13. Oh right! probably best not to run anything that may carry any current or electrical signals (including additional earths) that could affect the integrity of the SRS components. Is there anywhere else you can route it through...e.g the base of the windscreen?
  14. Hi Kev....welcome to the Forum What Honda bikes did you have? I had a Pan European a few years ago, great bike but incredibly heavy Good to have you onboard
  15. Hi.....welcome to the Forum I have installed wiring up behind the panels before and just tucked it in behind the edge (if the wiring is thin enough) and not had to remove the panels. There is enough space just to run it up alongside the edge of the screen and tuck it in behind the panel
  16. Hi....welcome to the Forum I would assume the quickest solution would be to disconnect the battery and reconnect after a few minutes. This may reset the security system. Let us know what you find out
  17. Hi...welcome to the Forum Unfortunately, this is what is provided as standard. Whether there are after-market companies providing an alternative i'm not sure But at least the fabric tonneau is a more flexible option than a big clumsy solid parcel shelf which is a nuisance to store if you have to remove it from the vehicle. Let us know if you find an alternative solution
  18. Hi...welcome to the Forum I believe there is a way as I found access to it with a late model 3rd Generation CRV but can't remember how to access it. Worth trawling the masses of info in the user manual to research the method of access. If you do find a way it would be great if you could it up here Cheers, Trevor
  19. You are welcome to place an advert in the For Sale section of this Forum if you want?
  20. You can post the wheel in the For Sale section of the forum if you wish
  21. The problem may be stemming from poor battery terminal connections so I would check there first. Otherwise, the fault may be more complex, see link: http://www.vehix411.com/6611-2/
  22. Hi....welcome to the Forum Wow! that's a lot of miles on the clock but as I say, it obviously got there by being a reliable car £795 is cheap enough, go for it 🙂
  23. Great result so far Andy! Don't forget also to get the Shell Drivers Card as it gives you money back when you accrue enough points....win, win!
  24. Great result Bob! It's worth publicising the supplier as I'm sure there are lots of people out there who desire a full size spare wheel in their car.
  25. Look forward to hearing the diagnosis. Get him also to pay particular attention to any earth cables and battery connections which could be causing the issue
