Hello to everyone
Hi.....welcome to the Forum Nice collection of cars! Have to say, am tempted into a Volvo C70 convertible....how do they fair? reliable or not? The Accord is a completely reliable car overall as long as it has been maintained correctly over the years. Would replace the cambelt if in doubt that it hasn't previously been replaced, otherwise it shouldn't give you any issues. Good to have you onboard and let us know how it goes with the purchase of the Accord

2019 CR-V Hybrid EX
Hi....welcome to the Forums I have heard of similar issues from CR-V owners of the newer models....seems the older one are built better and have technology of the era. The newer ones I'm afraid are still running with old tech and this is the reason it doesn't work too well. They are trying to drag old tech into the newer vehicle range and its not suitable. The voice control function does not and never has worked well but it is just easier to control it manually by hand. The Climate Control is probably set to 'auto' by default so is doing just that I would imagine. The audio may only be down to settings that need changing, worth checking the extensive handbook(s) for more information. Honda customer relations do leave something to be desired as have experienced this personally in the past, otherwise, they do produce damn good vehicles overall

Newbie from Kent
Hi Steve.....welcome to the Forums The 2.2 engine is bomb-proof and the FRV itself is pretty damn good so as long as you stay on top of maintenance items and use quality service parts then you shouldn't have any real issues. Good to have you onboard

CRV Fuel Filter Bleed
Hi John.....welcome to the Forum There should be a rubber bulb on the bulkhead and a bleed nipple on the top of the fuel filter....crack the nipple open very slightly and pump the bulb until all the air is expelled

Hi....welcome to the Forum I would have no hesitation in buying a higher mileage Honda as long as it has a complete service history (not necessarily main dealer stamps) and has been looked after. Although, there are two sorts of high miles....one is motorway miles which are superb and then there are town miles which will see substantially higher wear and tear on the car. Worth looking at how its been used in the past and by whom (e.g. mum using it for school runs, little old lady to go to the post office for her pension, or a sales rep on the motorway. Be in mind also that it is a diesel and they do not like being smoked around town. Good luck with the purchase and hope you don't find anything untoward in the history. Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers, Trevor

Honda Civic 2.2 cdti PGM - FI error
Looks like it will need to go to a reputable garage for further diagnosis. My thoughts are fuel pressure sensor or fuel filter blocked

Opposite / reverse battery connected
Hi....welcome to the Forum The reversal of battery terminals can be enough to destroy electronic components that are current polarity sensitive....unless they have diode protection. If the vehicle is not responding to the new battery (assuming it is fully charged 12volts) then chances are the Electronic Control Units (ECU) are fried and also the Alternator is more than likely damaged as well. It looks like you'll need to take it to a reputable garage or auto electrician to diagnose the fault and damaged components Let us know how you get on with it

Honda Civic 2.2 cdti PGM - FI error
Hi....welcome to the Forum These codes are predominantly for the air intake, fuel and exhaust areas of the Engine Management system. My first thought is if it has ceased running and won't start then it is going to be a fuel related issue. Has it been misfuelled (petrol instead of diesel)? Has any maintenance or repairs been carried out on the car before this occurred?

New to Honda, bought a jazz for the wife and I’m looking at one
Hi Leigh....welcome to the Forum I found Honda's later in life and actually thought 'why didn't I get one sooner'. After some pondering, I came to the conclusion that perhaps I wasn't yet ready for one, e.g. this is why the more mature motorist go for Honda I believe. In reality, they are superb cars and uber-reliable and cannot believe it took so long to take the plunge after driving some horrific cars over the years. Good to have you onboard and please let us know how living with a Honda is working out for you Cheers, Trevor

Cvt clutch judder
Hi...welcome to the Forum Clutch judder could be down to a couple of things.... Defective clutch pressure plate (broken springs) or defective driven plate (breaking up) Also, other areas like engine/gearbox mounts being worn or damaged and also worn driveshaft joints. Worth checking these items prior to committing to a new clutch Let us know how you get on with it

All is fine but Dash Light ?
Definitely sounds like a trip to the dealership with your wallet as I cannot think of any other explanation at this stage

All is fine but Dash Light ?
Just a thought but have you got the key in a Faraday pouch and the signal is being blocked ?

Hello, My first CR-V purchased a year ago
Hi Zane.....welcome to the Forum That is probably about right for the petrol engine, apart from ensuring that the engine is mechanically sound to deliver maximum MPG then there probably isn't much more that you could do to improve upon it. Good to have you onboard, Cheers . Trevor

2014 CRV Brake Pads
I would run the registration number through Eurocarparts website and see what options they give you. If you look at the Fitment tab that will show what the differences are. Worst-case scenario, get both sets and return the one that is wrong Good luck

Found steering wheel controls wires for audio
That's brilliant...would definitely be interested in how this works out because, like you, I hate the idea of controls not working. Keep us updated

Wiring for towbar
Hi....welcome to the Forum I have answered your post in the other part of the forums but here is a copy as well Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
-
Wiring for towbar
I would take advice from a specialist towbar installer as the car will be running a CanBus electrical system which means you can't just wire in a socket like the old days, rather the electrics would have to run through a special control unit to interface with the lighting system and not create any errors.

Routing an In-Car cam cable down A pillar
I tucked my cabling down the A pillar trim as it only has to just tuck in behind enough not to be seen and therefore you don't need to remove the trim
