  1. Hi....Happy New Year to you too ! Plenty of info on here for researching the CR-V, to be fair they don't have too many problems. Good to have you onboard!
  2. Hi....welcome to the Club What have you done to the engine? Feel free to dive into answering any questions you can, much appreciated Good to have you onboard!
  3. Hi....welcome to the Club Superb collection of Honda's over the years You can change your Avatar image by going to your profile settings. If you are struggling then post up a photo and i can change it for you Good to have you onboard!
  4. Happy New Year to all and lets hope 2024 is a good one 🙂
  5. Hi Dave.....welcome to the Club It does sounds like fluid as a first thought but may also be the slave cylinder or release bearing inside the gearbox sticking. Its a tough one to diagnose but would also be worth someone looking under the pedals to ensure that nothing is holding the pedal down (piece of trim, etc) Please let us know the outcome of this one
  6. Hi....welcome to the Club I believe I did manage to access the system once many years ago and it was solely through the touch screen. Other alternative methods would be to use a scan tool to reset the oil service (I believe it is in the functions on the iCarSoft scanner I use.
  7. I wonder if the tailgate needs resetting / programming to set it up correctly. Maybe disconnect and reconnect the battery and immediately try closing and opening the tailgate?
  8. Can you not get the cooler repaired?
  9. Watch this video for information on how to fix the fault
  10. Information found on Google: electronically controlled 5-speed automatic transmission (changed to CVT in 2015) Like any automatic transmission they benefit from fluid and filter changes every so often so if the service history shows this then great, if not then maybe book it in at a transmission specialist sometime
  11. Many years ago there used to be specialist radiator repairers around But if you can find a garage skilled enough to solder / plastic weld a hole in the core or tank then it is a cheap and easy job to do
  12. The voltage is sufficient for internal electrics and I would check all earth leads as well as power leads from the battery to ensure there is no corrosion or damage at the connections. As per your other post about the alarm system this could be water ingress affecting your internal lights (dripping down through from windscreen or even heater matrix). Check there are no signs of water tracing underneath the dashboard area.
  13. Is the vehicle battery also in good condition? Sounds silly but try holding the fob to your head and testing the range.....strangely enough it boosts the signal
  14. It could be that the other side is slightly sticking and therefore not being used as effectively as the other side (replaced caliper side) and is colder as a result of this? The rears are not normally running anywhere near as hot as the front (unless fully loaded vehicle)
  15. That doesn't sounds too bad cost wise and to replace in terms of labour It does sounds plausible and also in the colder season it does tend to knock out sensors. Let us know how it all goes and fingers crossed it resolves the issue.....either way at least you get a coolant change which is always an overlooked service item
  16. Merry Christmas to all ! Enjoy the festive break and see you back here in 2024
  17. Without being political and going off on a rant - we don't want to ban anybody on here (yet!) 🙂 I tend to steer clear of anything to do with politics and especially the news as its so depressing and not a lot that any of us can do about the outcome. Added to that, put bias, sensationalism and inaccurate news reporting into the mix and its understandable we're in the position as we are in this country. Returning to discussion on cars and the future of driving.....personally I now hate driving and would give it up in a heartbeat as its not enjoyable anymore....used to be that you could take the car out and enjoy a nice drive without the inconvenience of road works, restrictions of every kind and also the costs involved. The car sits on the drive for a week at a time if not longer. However, I do have a couple of motorbikes to get my kicks on the road and have to say that even though it is somewhat more expensive, it is however much more fun! It genuinely gives you that sense of freedom that you used to get from driving a car On a footnote, it has always been the motorist that is the easy target to penalise for everything in the UK it is slightly more difficult to target the motorcyclist as there are such groups as Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) that will argue everything at government level and protect our rights whereas motorists don't have such a strong voice in the houses of parliament...food for thought!
  18. You could try another fuel station (premium fuel such as BP, Esso, Shell) and see if that improves it Alternatively, check tyre pressures and anything else that can create drag on the vehicle (roof box, excess weight in the boot, etc)
  19. ah right, I now understand. That is an odd one and wonder if the relay is at fault or getting all the appropriate information (such as coolant and ambient temperature) if the system is not kicking in at first start on a cold engine. Maybe also look at the connection on the relay to see if any corrosion or damage is present
  20. I would definitely return the car to the garage that replaced the timing belt and ask them to check the fault code (free of charge) to see if it is associated with any of the work that has been carried out. It may be a connection for a sensor that hasn't been clipped back on or something simple that can be fixed at no cost. After that then at least you know the fault code and can go from there Let us know what you find
  21. Everything was right and in place so how have we got to where we are now....that's the question I constantly ask myself (and others who may possibly listen to me ranting on)
  22. Battery voltage may be low by the time the glow plugs have done their part then it may be cranking slower? Alternatively, you could try running the glow plugs twice and then see if it fires up quicker
  23. Hmm....that's a tough call as to which one you'll need. I guess the only other way is to order all the sizes and return the ones you don't need. A local motor factors (Euros, GSF, etc) will happily do this for you if you explain the situation
  24. Unfortunately, I would say the Honda are sadly lacking when it comes to up-to-date tech which they fit to their vehicles. A firmware/software update from the manufacturers may bring it slightly up to date regarding BT connectivity but the overall function of the audio system is still way behind in functionality Not sure if a complete swap out for an aftermarket system such as those from iceboxauto whose units employ all the latest tech and custom fit the vehicle dash so look good as well
