Evening All. Just a qq any one had issues with their High Pressure Fuel Pump on the 2.2 diesel engine, I have had two instances where the engine management light has come on in the last two weeks and had fault code P0087 which means low fuel pressure. Two years ago I was getting the same issue but the garage put new firmware on and it seemed to fix it, but i think that may have just been a coincidence as the issue is back. Sometimes it will stop the car other times it just goes in to limp mode. You can start the car no problem after the event, the fault stays for 4 more engine on and off, then disappears. It's very frustrating. I have been recommended a diesel s…

  6. Hi, hoping for a light bulb moment from avid CR-V fans. My DPF alarm illuminated on the dash about 3 months ago and went into limp mode. The garage conducted a force regen and sent me on my way. All was good for about 2 months until it happened again. This time my local garage couldn't clear the fault so I took it to a terra clean "specialist" who charged me a small fortune, cleared the fault, force regen again and said that all my stats were good and maybe my previous garage didn't regen it correctly. Fast forward 25 miles and it's back on. Any thoughts please? Because I can't keep taking it in for them to charge me the world and it go wrong in le…

Hi everyone. Just acquired an 08 CRV ES which has the all in one Audio and sat nav screen. Unfortunately for present day usage its pretty pants as there is no Bluetooth and while the car does have some bluetooth again its not up to current standards. There is also no Aux jack point but it does have a handy PCMCIA slot (whoever used that?). Anyway I have been looking at some plug in thro the 12v socket type of unit that you tune to the radio and Ive no doubt that they would work but in reality I would like to fit whloe new head/unit that would bring the car up to modern day standards. Has anyone out there done this type of thing and is it worthwhile…

Just joined this owners club so hi everybody. The rear screen wash jet is just dribbling water with no force and no fan shape. When one of the front jets was the same I had to lift the jet out and blow it clear with an airline as poking it with a pin did not work. Does the rear jet come out and if so how do I do it and should I be inside or outside the car? Thanks to anybody replying and thanks for reading my query

  12. I purchased my Honda CRV from a Honda showroom; my sole reason was that my old car was old and high mileage and buying a newish car gives you the sense of security that there will be no fault. I have just hit a year and I have only done 4000 4500 miles on car due to covid reasons I started feeling here gear shift and occasional gear change that felt like two metal plates grinding. so, I took the car into to Honda as I paid for service and its under warranty. they asked me to leave the car for assessing for a day. I got a call back in afternoon car is ok to drive but there might something up, so we need to book it in for 2 days to look in gearbox and clutch. so, I handed m…

Hi all, I’m in desperate need of help. I can’t disable the Immo on my 2007 CRV. I’ve changed the battery in the fob and on the car, I’ve checked all the fuses, tried to reprogramme the keys, all keys lost, bought a second hand replacement key fob reader on the key cylinder tried to reprogramme it, cried, kicked it, and still nothing. The maxicom tells me that the system is “not normal”, without any hint on what else is going on. I have a green flashing key constantly and an engine management light that comes on initially, blinks and goes out it turns over but doesn’t fire up. The local Honda garage is 40 miles away and the RAC will only take…

Hi everyone, New to the forum but wanted to get some ideas: I have a 2012 CRV 2.2 Diesel manual with 60k miles. On a recent service (at a Honda dealer) they advised that it needs a new clutch. This seems a bit odd to me as the reason given was that the clutch bite was high. It does not have any symptom of the clutch failing such as power loss or difficulty engaging gears. The only thing which could indicate a problem is a very slight, intermittent judder changing between 1st and 2nd gear but this was not mentioned. The other issue is that the middle display (centre top of the dashboard) for range and MPG is blank. The display itself wor…

  17. 2007 (gen 3) Honda CR-V EX 2.2 i-ctd-i 6 speed manual. The dash clock in the navigation/entertainment centre will not retain time after it is set and then the ignition is turned off, BUT it will keep the time if the ignition is not turned totally off even with the engine not running. If the ignition is kept on Aux, the run position or the engine is running it is fine. Is there a fuse or relay that controls this? I have disconnected the battery, waited 30 minutes then reconnected it, reset the radio code , the ECU then reinitialised the security system but it had no effect. 8 attempts so far and always the same result.....HELP please.

Evening; I have a 2014 model that doesn't have factory fit rails. Honda will sell me some for £500 plus fitting, or I can buy a set of Cruz bars that fit under the roof line for around £80. Cruz bars are well reviewed, anyone have any experience with a CRV? Thanks

Hi folks. Bought an 07 CR V 2.2 i cdti. It's got Full Service and 147k on it. Hellish obvious Turbo Siren noise at around 2.5rmp and more. I'm hoping to check for Oil Starvation to the Turbo? It runs amazingly well. Boost great and goes like a small rocket. Or has anyone got any other ideas? I had the exact same noise on an Alfa Romeo 159 a few years ago and the turbo bearings whent resulting in a cloud of black smoke. Any advice on what I can check on the drive? Thanks in advance.

  20. Hi, I have a 57 plate petrol CRV which is throwing up an error code related to the catalytic converter. My usual mechanic who I trust tells me the cat is knackered and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately he can only source a replacement from Honda at a cost of over £1k, so I'm looking for alternatives. Trouble is, I can find 3rd party replacement cats for every flavour of CRV under the sun, but not mine. The Honda parts catalogue tells me my cat is part number 18160-RZP-G01, but there is also a presumably earlier G00 and a presumably later G50. Can anyone advise me if these are all interchangeable part numbers? Will a cat fr…

Good evening everyone! I come to this forum unfortunately with a small problem. My brother changed the battery in my Honda CRV, then my radio got stuck. I should mention that I am on holiday in Bulgaria. I went here to the dealership and they charged me around 45 pounds, converted to BGN. Of course I didn't pay the amount, and I started searching on the net where I could get the code. I found a website, I'll leave the link here : https://autoradiocodes.com/honda-crv/ and I want to know if it's a good idea to buy from here, or if it's a free way to get the code. I'll leave some pictures here of the car and the message on the radio

Hi Can someone advice me on how to best (and cheaply) update the sat nav on my CR-V? I have a 2012 CR-V EX I-VTEC and the sat nav is pretty rubbish, not taking me the most efficient and shortest routes. I dont want to take it to a Honda dealer as I they'll charge an arm and a leg. I heard that I can update with a DVD found behind the display panel but I can't see how it's done on my model. I've attached a photo of the sat nav. Thanks in advance!

Greetings all from Northern Ireland - hope you can help. My CRV is, at the moment, broken down, and has been for most of the last month. It's a 2007 2.2 Cdti with 160000 miles and just suddenly stopped working, with all the dash lights flashing. I've had a diagnostic technician out, but he couldn't get the car to communicate with his equipment, though it did start and run for 3 days after he had been. It's very frustrating, to say the least. I think that it's something electrical - the cam chain is fine, no noise when running, and it has a new clutch and flywheel, which is why I'm loathe to give up on it. Anyone come across this before? Thanks in advance!
