Frustrated to find out what is causing the radio to stop working. I have a 2011 Civic 1.8 i-VTEC and when I start up the display shows 'Radio' 1 but as soon as any control is touched it displays '1 AF ON' and none of the switches or dials work. The fuses are checked and seem fine, then all of a sudden it will be working again and now it doesn't work at all.

Hi all, I recently bought a 2016 HRV Dsl. The attached dash light pic comes on every now and again and can stay on for hrs too. I have replaced the battery in the 1 key fob I have with a quality new battery. I have charged the engine bay battery to 100% All that has been done lately to this vehicle is a standard oil change & basic service after time of purchase. Light came on a few weeks later. Another problem is every now and again the main screen for Sat Nav etc has to be restarted due to low battery message ? So...whats up folks ? Is it a main engine bay battery needed or ?

☹️A mechanic told me that there is power to my cigarette lighter in my 2011 petrol Jazz, but said it is not earthed. Is this likely, and if so is it easy for any mechanic to fix?

Hi there, Honda offer an iPod dock connector for the OEM stereo, but it's no use to me as I have a Zune. Does the back of the head unit have RCA inputs to allow an RCA to 3.5mm jack to be used? Cheers

Hi. I'm looking to buy a mark 8 Civic and in the photo ads I can see a button on the dash saying CD/Aux. I would like to play music on Spotify through my phone and a 3.5mm cable directly through the head unit, is there an aux in connector on these vehicles that takes a 3.5mm cable and if so where is it located? Thanks. David.

Hello guys, I need your help finding a wiring diagram for my Civic 6gen, 2001,d14z2. The car keeps constatly blowing fuse 15 - alternator sensor , the speedometer stops working, the battery's light on the board goes away..then of course the car proceeds to lose power and eventually it comes to a point where I can no longer start it. When I change the fuse with a new one the car starts no problem. We've checked and the problem is not with the cables under the intake manifold... so that's out of the question.. Thanks for the help!

I apologise if this topic has already been covered, I have only just joined the club today. I would like to add a DAB adaptor to my 2011 Insight EX. There is a USB connector in the centre console, which is an input for an auxilliary unit into the sat-nav system. I'm hoping to use the type of receiver with no controls on it, thereby using the functions on the sat nav auxilliary input to control it. Is this possible or a day dream? If it's possible, can anyone recommend a suitable unit. Many thanks, Berpybob

  15. We have a 2017 CR-V and I would like to install a dashcam to the front. I don’t want cables trailing everywhere and I am aware that Nextbase do a hard-wired adaptor for their dashcams. This would mean running a cable along the roof lining and down the pillar to the dashboard and fuse box. I have had a look and can see that there is an internal fuse box roughly where the driver’s right knee is, underneath the dashboard. The Nextbase adapter requires the removal of a fuse, the adaptor plugs into where the fuse was removed from and then the removed fuse sits ‘piggy back’ on the adaptor. I would be grateful if somebody is able to confirm that the fuse box to wh…

Need Radio serial number to use online web site? I have tried YouTube recommendations pressing pre-set buttons 1 & 6 , 2 & 6. Nothing. Would the radio serial number be on the Sat nav unit? Hi - new to the forums. I have been building a car pc for the best part of two years on and off :-) I know car pc's have dropped off the radar- but its what I have to work with. This is not professional, and I am using the bare minimum hardware that I have , and that I can get? It consists of a Windows 10 Tablet which is placed in front of the main fascia. It is not in the fascia and I have done no fancy work to make it fit in - it looks fine. I have a box that fools my honda into thinking that the audio output of the tablet is part of the multi cd player, so it ouputs fine. All of the accessories are usb and housed in a separate box…

  24. Hi Chaps Nice being here. My first post - just after having my AC compressor replaced, but this is on a different subject. Wondering if you can help me. My 2010 CRV EX - came with an after market head unit. Its ok, but i dont like the SatNav, plus its out of date. Two questions: 1. Is this system updatable - and is there a charge to do so? 2. Is there an Android / Google map alternative head unit that covers everything like rear cam, steering wheel controls etc. What are my options, willing to spend a bit. Thank you! ManikM
