Check for broken earth cables connecting from the battery negative terminal to the gearbox/engine and other associated wiring as excess engine movement could be affecting the connection?

Engine management light
I would say that a carbon clean from a company like TerraClean would sort these issues. Sounds like carbon build up in the intake side of the engine

I would stand my ground on this one as it is clearly a known fault and if they cured one side then they can do the other as its the same issue. Let us know how you get on with it

Charge for a service
Hi Lee....welcome to the Club The price for the second service is usually more because of the level of work and parts is greater. Compared to a second service on my Harley, that price you quoted is cheap 😞

It sounds like it wasn't serviced before you bought it then I would argue this if it is the case as the vehicle should have been checked over before sale

Roof Bars or Rails?
Have heard they do the job well but not sure about quality
-
Serpentine Belt query
They have had issues with air con pump pulleys disintegrating so maybe yours is on the way out and is displaying the symptoms you describe. Look at how the pulley runs with the AC switched on and if there is any deflection when running
-
Honda FRV 2.2 non start
Sounds like a crank sensor issue to me, would measure if there is any output as no fuel pressure would be generated if no engine revs
-
Cruise Control
larrygreen1 How did you get on with this issue?
