  1. I believe it should be built into the alarm siren under the bonnet?
  2. Good secondhand one from a vehicle breakers or eBay ?
  3. Hi Flo....welcome to the Club Fantastic condition those Honda's are in, nice to see the older and more recognisable models still being driven on a regular basis. I particularly love the Prelude and was alway incredibly impressed with the efficiency of the 4WS at low and higher speeds. Surprised it never really got adopted by too many other manufacturers over the years 😞 Good to have you onboard!
  4. Hi Sparkpea .....welcome to the club. Pee Gee is correct in what he is suggesting and also consider looking at weak rubber brake hoses which can also balloon out and lose hydraulic pressure. A very careful examination of the entire braking system is required and quite frankly for a 2010 CR-V I would be surprised if there is much else majorly wrong with it apart from simple maintenance items that have been overlooked during a service, etc. Other things to check would be the master cylinder losing pressure between the two internal seals.....would not lose fluid externally but pressure goes past the primary and secondary seals and gives these symptoms. More basic things to check would be the calipers and hoses, brake load sensing valve is not seized (if applicable), brake pads are not seized in the carrier and therefore not able to retract and return therefore requiring extra presses of the brake pedal to encourage the braking pressure to be present. Let us know what you find to be the issue.
  5. Hi owls241 .... welcome to the Club Yes, it was a shame that Karma disappeared as it was a great site. However, it does seem to be the state of play with forums vs facebook and it relies on fellow members chipping in with some input of Honda related issues, if they can. Its the old saying, 'use it or lose it' and would hate to see another forum fall by the wayside because of facebook and other social media sites Pee Gee .... you are more than welcome to help with answering posts in the forums if you're interested?....see link below:
  6. Unfortunately, florin_cars is correct. A lot of people tend to use Facebook as it is easier and more accessible than maybe logging into a forum. However, the level of response in a forum is usually likely to be more reliable and accurate than FB along with moderated comments. The forums rely on members signing up and also assisting with other members' issues with their cars otherwise the posts tend to go unanswered (for a few days at least).
  7. It could be the heater flaps re-indexing or other system relays (timer) to prime the engine (fuel, intake, etc)
  8. She's an absolute beauty!!!! Welcome to the Club
  9. Hi Billy.....welcome to the Club Nothing too specific to look out for, just vastly different in every way to the CR-V but equally as reliable Good to have you onboard!
  10. You make some very good points there....only your perception of the vehicle following a test drive will give you the answers you need to purchase (or not) Keep us informed on how you get on with it
  11. You could try trawling the scrapyards with one you have removed from your car to compare it with other Honda models
  12. If the pads are 90% worn and there hasn't been any discs fitted previously then it would be advisable to change both discs and pads at the same time
  13. Decisions, decisions !!! I would probably be in the same situation as you and not sure whether it warrants the upgrade costs or whether I could live with the standard configuration. Panoramic roofs have been dropped on a lot of manufacturer's offerings recently due to supply issues and they also put the vehicle into the next Co2 emissions level (e.g. higher tax and duties, etc)
  14. I would try Halfords as they also sell fascia plates and connectors for wiring up aftermarket stereo head units
  15. SRS self checks resistances each time the ignition is switched on. There was a recall on airbag inflators but not sure if it was for your car model and year
  16. I guess the only other thing to try is to replace the pads as the others may be low on the lining thickness and also offer better friction
  17. Ouch! that's crazy money! Hope you find a suitable replacement
  18. Sounds more like a throttle setting You should be able to reset the throttle adaption to cure this using a scan tool that is capable of this function
  19. Sounds like the springs are moving in the strut plates. Maybe loosen the mounting bolts on the strut top whilst on the ground and retighten as it may have been tightened when off the ground and no load on the springs
  20. Sounds like it could be the fuel filter needs changing. This can result in less fuel in the canister and taking longer to prime up You can tell if this is the case as the rubber bulb takes more to pump up to get firmer which suggests this is the case
  21. You could try getting some made up, would also be a lot cheaper
  22. All Honda cars with fuel injection are compatible with E10 petrol (HONDA PGM-FI). PGM-Fi was installed on Honda models in the late '80s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programmed_fuel_injection
  23. I have replaced the ECU and key/lock components on Honda's before and it resolves the issue. Not sure you could easily replace the chip but do let us know if you find out any info on this method
  24. You may be able to find a Rover equivalent to source the parts (Rover 416, 420, 620)
