  1. Hi....welcome to the Club My first recommendation would be to scan the ECU and see what fault codes are stored in memory. This would lead you to see whether it is fuel related, or electronic sensors, etc.
  2. Hi Isabel.....welcome to the Club It may well be a common fuse or something that has recently been added to the electrical system (dash cam, satnav, etc)
  3. To reset the honda crv audio system, turn on the ignition, turn the sound on, then hold the power button down until it resets.
  4. I had a sneaky feeling that Honda recalled the Air Con pump shortly after they realised there was an issue but it didn't last for long though I suppose the only way forward is to go electric or hybrid at the very least. If you get free electric then a plug-in is the best way to go, assuming your driving distance is not too far 🙂
  5. I would check the fuse first
  6. Hi Edward......welcome to the forums The compressor is a common fault unfortunately and does cost a lot but worthwhile in the hot weather otherwise you could have bypassed it. I suppose the pressure is off you from no longer living in London where a hybrid or electric would be the only way forward. Good to have you onboard!
  7. It does sound like an issue with the head unit and maybe a reboot will resolve it. I know there are a huge amount of settings in the back end of the subsystems relating to volume and other functions. Would need to refer to the handbook again for accessing them though
  8. Hi.....welcome to the forum Seem to recall doing this job on my CR-V many years ago and think I had to remove the spoiler to access the lamp. Alternatively, it would be worth 'wiggling' the wires going into the tailgate as the brake pedal is applied with the ignition on to see if there is a broken wire which is common on a lot of vehicles where the tailgate is opened and closed frequently
  9. Hi Mags.....welcome to the forum You could try this company and they're only up the road from you by the look of it https://cartronix.co.uk/
  10. You are correct with the reasons for Honda not including such luxuries as Apple Play and their Sat Nav updates have been sadly lacking for many years compared to other manufacturers
  11. Hi.....welcome to the Club I would say the tyres are of a soft compound and if the wear is on the fronts only then they are being scrubbed by driving and steering which would understandably cause wear. However, if it is on one edge only then this suggests some inconsistencies in the steering geometry.
  12. I guess some scrapyards should be the next stop then but they could have potentially suffered the same damage as yours. Most items have a warranty period with them even though they are used parts
  13. Hi Andy.....long time no hear, hope you are staying well? Crikey, that's almost a year for the car to arrive! I'm sure the wait was worth it though. Sounds like an amazing machine, let us know what you think of it on the road
  14. I would imagine eBay or marketplace to get a secondhand unit but may need coding into the car and definitely calibrating
  15. It may be worthwhile using a different tyre inflator/pressure gauge in case the one you are using is incorrect. Also, inflating the tyres with another 5 psi over the recommended to see if that puts the warning light out> You can always deflate them afterwards if no effect. Alternatively, it maybe the sensors need recoding to calibrate them
  16. Hi....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  17. Hi Sav....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  18. Hi Alex....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard
  19. Hi....welcome to the Club I would definitely replace the fuel filter as experienced this myself and this cured it How's life in France? Much happening with Covid there?
  20. Hi Alex....welcome to the Club My absolute first thoughts are battery supply and earth returns. If you are experiencing issue with immobiliser and also ABS then I think I would trace through from the battery (both sides) and work through the fuseboxes and other current supply routes to see if there is any corrosion or breaks in wires, etc. I know its like teaching you to suck eggs but I have fallen foul of some of the simplest faults which I failed to initially check
  21. Hi Little G .....welcome to the Club
  22. Hi.....welcome to the Club I had a similar issue on a Mitsubishi L200 and took the front cover off the wiper motor to find there was an excess of grease on the contacts which could no longer pick up a current at certain points in the wipe sweep. Cleaned off the excess grease and it worked absolutely fine. Not sure if the motor is easily accessible on the CR-V like it was on the L200 and also if there is an easily removable front cover but certainly worth a look Let us know how you get on with it
