  1. The Blackbird is a superb bike, always wanted one then realised I am not immortal. I think you may be better off on the roads nowadays with the Civic....great all-round car really...Enjoy! Ride a BMW GS1200 most of the year and love its reliability and rideability 🙂
  2. Oh right! probably best not to run anything that may carry any current or electrical signals (including additional earths) that could affect the integrity of the SRS components. Is there anywhere else you can route it through...e.g the base of the windscreen?
  3. Hi Kev....welcome to the Forum What Honda bikes did you have? I had a Pan European a few years ago, great bike but incredibly heavy Good to have you onboard
  4. Hi.....welcome to the Forum I have installed wiring up behind the panels before and just tucked it in behind the edge (if the wiring is thin enough) and not had to remove the panels. There is enough space just to run it up alongside the edge of the screen and tuck it in behind the panel
  5. Hi....welcome to the Forum I would assume the quickest solution would be to disconnect the battery and reconnect after a few minutes. This may reset the security system. Let us know what you find out
  6. Hi...welcome to the Forum Unfortunately, this is what is provided as standard. Whether there are after-market companies providing an alternative i'm not sure But at least the fabric tonneau is a more flexible option than a big clumsy solid parcel shelf which is a nuisance to store if you have to remove it from the vehicle. Let us know if you find an alternative solution
  7. Hi...welcome to the Forum I believe there is a way as I found access to it with a late model 3rd Generation CRV but can't remember how to access it. Worth trawling the masses of info in the user manual to research the method of access. If you do find a way it would be great if you could it up here Cheers, Trevor
  8. You are welcome to place an advert in the For Sale section of this Forum if you want?
  9. You can post the wheel in the For Sale section of the forum if you wish
  10. The problem may be stemming from poor battery terminal connections so I would check there first. Otherwise, the fault may be more complex, see link: http://www.vehix411.com/6611-2/
  11. Hi....welcome to the Forum Wow! that's a lot of miles on the clock but as I say, it obviously got there by being a reliable car £795 is cheap enough, go for it 🙂
  12. Great result so far Andy! Don't forget also to get the Shell Drivers Card as it gives you money back when you accrue enough points....win, win!
  13. Great result Bob! It's worth publicising the supplier as I'm sure there are lots of people out there who desire a full size spare wheel in their car.
  14. Look forward to hearing the diagnosis. Get him also to pay particular attention to any earth cables and battery connections which could be causing the issue
  15. Shell also do loyalty points which equates to money off in the future 🙂
  16. It's difficult to regain confidence in a vehicle I find once it has played up, but after a while when it has gone wrong I tend to forget it and just continue driving with no problems....assuming it doesn't occur anymore in the future.
  17. Sounds like the headlamps can't breath with the condensation inside. Maybe leave the covers off from the back (where you would replace the bulbs) to allow some air to circulate
  18. It definitely sounds like the battery is failing. Check the terminals are tight on the battery and that there is no corrosion on them. Failing that, check the alternator output (which sounds like its okay if the revs affect the dash illumination) and replace the battery if in doubt.
  19. It sounds like it could be a sensor at fault if the DPF and regens are okay then it is the only thing that I would be leaning towards. Maybe that or a software update, worth contacting your Honda dealership to enquire if this is the case
  20. With the amount of rain we have had lately I am not at all surprised that its getting in everywhere. The easiest and most accurate method to determine where water is getting in is to use a Smoke Generator which will leak the smoke out wherever the water is getting in, far easier to see it as well
  21. Hi Matt.....welcome to the Forum Both great cars with superb engines, never miss a beat! Good to have you onboard
  22. Hi Richard....welcome to the Forum I would definitely get this checked out by an auto-electrician or reputable garage as it sounds like power distribution, could even be loose battery terminals causing it Let us know what you find
  23. I find that the branded fuel is not that much more expensive than the supermarkets nowadays so I tend to use the better fuels (esso, bp, shell, texaco) they also have loyalty points which equate to money off in the long term so much lost by not using the supermarkets. Generally tend to also notice the difference in performance but not really an increase in economy though
  24. Its certainly worth trying to ascertain whether it is substandard fuel that could be causing the issue. Also, don't forget the Italian tune-up....always works to clear out the engine 🙂
  25. Well done for having a go yourself, sometimes the best way to learn I know a few of the guys at Highbury and I know they have been going through a bit of a turnover of staff lately which is a shame for the students....lets hope things improve. The crank pulley movement is not a good thing but I don't think its responsible for the belt slippage. If there is a squeal then this could be the PAS pump itself, especially if placed on full lock for an extended period, which is never a good thing anyway. If the belt slips then tighten it some more but it can be detrimental to overtighten it in the first place so just keep an eye on it.
